Chapter 111: Chapter 107 Spatial Movement

“`

A new student contracted with two Pet Beasts? And they’re from the Fire Element and the Spectral Series?!

The security personnel couldn’t help but doubt if they had misheard.

But today was indeed the day for the new student training at the elite class to report.

The security personnel felt somewhat dazed; he was also a Beast Tamer, although not a highly ranked one, he had nonetheless come all the way from a proper Beast Taming High School.

To contract with two Pet Beasts as a freshman just officially becoming a Beast Tamer, he hadn’t seen such a thing in reality in his many years.

...

However, he had seen it in the news…

The security personnel steadied his mind; as the security of the top Beast Taming school in the city, he couldn’t appear inexperienced.

“Show me your information card.”

Qiao Sang handed over her card.

The security personnel stared at the screen and looked it over repeatedly.

No delayed schooling, no repeating grades, just a recent junior high school graduate who had turned 15 years old.

This was a genius among geniuses; barring any accidents, her future was bound to be limitless.

He slowed down the registration process and warmly said, “Qiao Sang, your name has a nice ring to it.”

“Not at all.” Qiao Sang scratched her head.

“Really, it’s nice. I register so many names every day, but yours stands out to me.”

Qiao Sang started to feel embarassed; she had been complimented on her looks before, and lately on her talent, but no one had ever sincerely praised her name like this.

“I had an ancestor, a grandmother, who also had the single name ‘Sang’; it’s no wonder I feel a connection with you on first sight.”

Qiao Sang: “…”

The security personnel realized he had misspoken as soon as he finished talking. Such remarks were usually made to superiors, and now he had used them on a child.

He gave an awkward laugh and said, “You’re here for the training, right? Wait while I make a call to have Teacher Xian come to pick you up.”

To have a teacher come to pick her up? Was that really necessary?

Qiao Sang was a bit overwhelmed and was about to refuse when she saw the security personnel had already made the call.

“Hello, this is the south gate security room. A freshman for the elite class training has arrived to report, named Qiao Sang. Please pick her up.”

That was fast…

It felt like he didn’t even need to look up the number, as if it were right at the top…

“Xun.”

The little Treasure-seeking Ghost on her head suddenly sensed something and looked blankly in a certain direction.

It seemed like the air in that direction twisted slightly.

The next second, a pet beast, with saggy skin, wrinkles all over, gray and pink in various places, a white belly, and ears so large they looked like wings, resembling a bat, appeared out of nowhere, carrying several pieces of paper in its claws.

Qiao Sang stared at the suddenly appearing pet beast, taken aback for a moment, finding it familiar but unable to name it, only knowing it must be a Psychic Series pet beast.

A chill went through her heart; the skill this beast used seemed not to be Instantaneous Movement but Spatial Movement.

Instantaneous Movement was a skill that allowed oneself to reach another position in an instant; it could be contained by sealing off the space.

Simply put, it meant confining the beast in a room and closing the door, restricting its movement to within that space only.

But Spatial Movement could disregard three-dimensional space and move to other coordinates.

The difference between the two was no small matter.

It was evident from the ranks given by the Alliance, where Instantaneous Movement was a mid-tier skill, whereas Spatial Movement was a high-tier skill.

“Ya!”

The Fire-Toothed Dog, seeing the pet beast that had suddenly popped out, bared its fangs, ready to defend.

“`

The pet beast with large ears paid no attention to the Fire-Toothed Dog’s actions. It sized up Qiao Sang and then began to flip through the papers on its paw one by one.

It didn’t get far before stopping, the large-eared pet beast glanced at the page it had flipped to and then back at Qiao Sang, as if confirming something.

“Teacher Xian, her name is Qiao Sang,” the security personnel reminded.

Qiao Sang was somewhat puzzled, so Teacher Xian was referring to a pet beast…

On reflection, it wasn’t unheard of for pet beasts to teach, although their students were other pet beasts.

The main reason these pet beasts could teach was because their own Beast Tamers held positions at the school.

“Xian.”

Teacher Xian nodded and, holding the paper in its left paw, swiped its right paw upwards.

Qiao Sang felt darkness before her eyes and a dizzying sensation in her head.

When her vision cleared, she found herself already in an office-like room.

Qiao Sang was shocked.

This Teacher Xian’s spatial movement could actually bring people along! The proficiency must at least be at completion!

One should know that without any “Golden Finger,” training a high-level skill to completion was not something an average-ranked pet beast could achieve.

“Qiao Sang, long time no see,” a deep male voice sounded from beside her.

Qiao Sang turned her head and saw a middle-aged man with a meticulously combed pompadour sitting behind a desk, with Teacher Xian at his side.

In front of him sat a male student who had once taken the special recruitment exam with her.

“Good to see you, Vice Principal,” said Qiao Sang promptly.

She immediately recognized the speaker.

Her memory had been getting better and better since the awakening from the Beast Taming Codex, and she hardly forgot any person or object she had seen.

The most important thing was that the vice principal was the first A-level Breeder she had encountered and had once guided her.

Liu Yao was initially taken aback when Qiao Sang turned around. Then he suddenly straightened up, leaned forward, and squinted his eyes.

“Qiao Sang, this Treasure-seeking Ghost is?”

“It’s my second pet beast.”

“Holy shit!”

Before Liu Yao could begin to process this information, the male student in front of him exclaimed in astonishment.

“Lu Liangye, mind your language,” Liu Yao glanced at him.

Upon hearing this, Lu Liangye immediately shut his mouth and made a zipping gesture across his lips.

The news was indeed too shocking; he had cursed right in front of the vice principal…

Liu Yao stood up and approached Qiao Sang, staring intensely at the Treasure-seeking Ghost for a while before turning his gaze to the Fire-Toothed Dog.

The Fire-Toothed Dog, which had been looking around in astonishment at how the surroundings had suddenly changed, noticed someone staring and lifted its chin to show off its sharp fangs in a dashing pose.

The more Liu Yao watched, the more incredulous he felt.

About to say something, he suddenly remembered another student was present, so he returned to his office chair and said, “I was just in the middle of talking to Lu Liangye when you came in, so listen as well.”

Qiao Sang nodded.

“For this team training, we will have a total of 12 people. Not all students from the heavy-duty class will be here. You were chosen to participate not because you did exceptionally well on the exams – you should know your own scores were barely above the minimum passing line.”

Qiao Sang and Lu Liangye exchanged a knowing look.

So this guy also didn’t score high on the culture tests.

Lu Liangye felt a lot more balanced in an instant.

“However, that’s not important. The purpose of this training is not to make up for cultural lessons, but to form a team capable of defeating Li Tang Beast Taming High School,” Liu Yao said.
