Chapter 178 - 178 177 Zhu Sanlangs Curiosity
Chapter 178: Chapter 177 Zhu Sanlang’s Curiosity Chapter 178: Chapter 177 Zhu Sanlang’s Curiosity Sally was surprised. It was better now, at least. Although squad after squad was being wiped out, at least they weren’t being exterminated.
“Are you the leader of the Rat Clan?” Zhu Sanlang asked.
Hurriedly, Sally waved her hands and denied, “No, no, I’m just a small rat, I wouldn’t dare to claim the title of Rat Clan leader. It’s just by fluke that I have a particularly resilient Beast Husband who helped me earn the status of a Holy Mother. To tell you the truth, I haven’t reaped any benefits from this title of Holy Mother and have only accrued a mountain of debt.”
Zhu Sanlang’s eyes showed a hint of reminiscence, “I remember, to become a Holy Mother, one must meet the Beast God and be bestowed by him.”
“Really? I haven’t,” said Sally, touching her belly, “other than having two kids stuffed in here.”
Zhu Sanlang looked at her belly, “Offspring are indeed a supreme bestowal.”
“Then, Mr. Zhu, do you have children?” Sally asked casually.
Zhu Sanlang looked towards Xiaoguang, who was hopping about outside, “I don’t need any!”
Sally responded, “Oh.”
She touched her belly, her gaze filled with tenderness, “With these two, I have ten children now.”
Zhu Sanlang sneakily glanced at her belly, “Are they Rat Demons?”
Sally replied, “They are Angels.”
Zhu Sanlang was astonished, “Angels? Angels are a higher-order Demon Clan, and your Rat Clan is the lowest, how could you cross levels to breed offspring.”
You’re the lowest level… Sally thought to herself, but she still smiled and said, “Perhaps it’s because I am a Holy Mother.”
Zhu Sanlang nodded, if a Holy Mother has been bestowed by the Beast God, it is indeed possible to carry the bloodline of the Angel Clan.
“Mr. Zhu, if one wants to return to the western Beast World, how should one go about it?” Sally inquired.
“There originally was a passage between the two worlds, but it’s sealed now. Back then, I was attracted by a battle between two powerful beings, encountered the seal which was broken by them, and was inadvertently swept in.
Later on, time reversed, and I was back to the time before the seal was broken. Although time was reversed, my memory did not disappear and retained the events that transpired in the Beast World during that time,” Zhu Sanlang said, looking at her, “Miss Sally might try the method you used to get here.”
Sally shook her head, “My method was purely random teleportation, not something I can specify.”
And besides, this place had food and drink, absolutely perfect for nourishing and waiting to give birth. Moving to another location… like reentering the Dark Continent or the Abyss, she and her children could starve to death all over again.
“Well, I have other matters to attend to, so I won’t impose any further. I’ll visit another day,” Sally finished her tea, closed the lid on the teacup, “Thank you for the fine tea.”
“You’re welcome,” Zhu Sanlang got up to see Sally off.
Sally first teleported to the platform, then turned back to wave at Zhu Sanlang, and with another teleport, returned to the forest.
Then she transformed into her beast form and began to harvest Spiritual Materials to eat.
Her belly could get hungry at any moment now, as the two children required double the nourishment, truly making it a bit difficult.
She rummaged through the System Space’s storage, finally coming across a juicer.
What if she placed those Spiritual Materials directly into the juicer and drank the juice?
Thinking about it, Sally started working on it.
First, she picked a bunch of Spirit Fruits, then made juice and drank it.
Her eyes lit up, “This is useful.”
That saved her some chewing.
She picked another bunch, juiced them, and continued drinking.
After a few glasses, she started to feel somewhat full.
Meat dishes too were all turned into fillings for pastries and meatballs, one bite each.
Though the taste was somewhat inferior, lacking the quality of food that one chewed and refined oneself, it was time-saving and effort-saving, and the nutrients were absorbed by the body just the same.
“It saves so much trouble, why didn’t I think of this sooner?”
Sally began squeezing and blending all sorts of things, her figure could be seen everywhere in the dense forest.
Sipping tea from the tea set given by Sally, Zhu Sanlang felt the more he used it, the nicer it seemed to be. The transparent teapot, made of unknown material, produced an exceptionally clear tea which looked as if it had been coated in a layer of light, beautiful. “The Barbaric Wilderness to the west has become quite civilized over the past few thousand years. Guess I should keep this little demon around a few more days to see what other novel things she comes up with.”
In a hidden compartment across the tea room, there was a new shelf with some of the kitchenware, bowls, seasoning boxes, and an old juicer that Sally had ‘accidentally’ left behind.
…
In the RV’s kitchen, Sally fiddled with making dumplings.
The filling was made with shrimp meat, mixed with a bit of fennel-like wild vegetable, drizzled with a touch of sesame oil and salt, which was very tasty.
‘Wuu~ Wuu~’ There were the sounds of a small animal.
Sally looked over at the noise and saw a little black and white rabbit hopping in.
She couldn’t help but smile, “Xiaoguang is here, where is your owner?”
“I hope I’m not intruding,” said Zhu Sanlang as he stood outside, examining Sally’s latest creation, the RV.
“You’re not intruding at all, you are an honored guest who is hard to invite,” replied Sally as she quickly got a pair of disposable men’s slippers ready at the door.
Zhu Sanlang paused at the sight of the slippers, then he took off his boots and entered the carriage in his socks.
Thinking that the slippers didn’t fit him, Sally didn’t insist and invited him to sit inside, “I was just about to make some shrimp dumplings, would you like to try some?”
“Sure, thank you for the trouble,” Zhu Sanlang replied, his eyes constantly scanning the interior setup.
Sally smiled and asked, “Is there anything you don’t eat?”
“No. Oh, and this is for you.” Zhu Sanlang handed a Spiritual Jade Marrow Box to Sally.
“It’s just a meal of dumplings, no need to be so formal, please put it away,” Sally modestly refused.
Zhu Sanlang placed the Spiritual Jade Marrow Box on the coffee table, “You gave me a tea set, which I really like.”
“Really? I’m glad you like it.” In fact, the tea set had been a free gift from the Birth Gift Pack, a high-grade glass set she had left gathering dust in the storage as clutter.
She preferred to brew tea using purple clay or vintage wares, as they had more character; she seldom used such glassware.
“I’ll give you another set sometime later,” she mentioned.
“Okay,” Zhu Sanlang replied. He cherished anything that came from Sally.
Sally handed him a bag of potato chips, “This is a special snack from my hometown, you should try it.”
“Thank you,” Zhu Sanlang said as he took it, examining the pattern on the bag—it was quite interesting. After trying a chip, his eyes widened in surprise, “This!”
“Hmm?” Sally wondered if it didn’t suit his taste, “Don’t you like it? I have some sunflower seeds, spicy strips, and other snacks here, see what you’d like.”
Sally pulled out a box of snacks from under the sofa and let Zhu Sanlang choose.
He said, “No. Can I try all of them?”
“Of course, you can take whatever you like,” Sally replied generously.
To her, these snacks were just something to enjoy, without any nutritional value for the fetus. During her previous pregnancy, she ate these and Xiaomei strongly objected, claiming that even nibbling on a couple of leaves would be better than consuming these snacks.
Zhu Sanlang made no fuss and put everything into his storage space.
What do you think?
