Chapter 622: Chapter 176 Come on, you! _2
Assad looked at the opened life support box in Linn’s hand and the adorable infant girl inside it, taken aback for a moment before he asked, “Whose is this?”
Linn handed the letter in his hand over as an explanation. “The boss’s fellow villager ran into some trouble and entrusted the child to us.”
Assad scanned through the contents of the letter, starting to murmur to himself, “Shadow City?”
He suddenly recalled the news he received a few days ago.
There was a suspicion that a unique world had been discovered by Shadow City, and a group of first-level wizards was organized to pioneer it.
In the Wizard World, there were countless of unexplored different worlds discovered every year.
Not to mention low civilization worlds that could be pioneered by first-level wizards were so common they were hardly worth mentioning.
But there’s no smoke without fire.
However, the fact Shadow City attempts at pioneering a low civilization world made its way to Ravensmouth City.
The world being pioneered was obviously not ordinary.
If he wasn’t misjudging, this person named Christina was presumably conscripted to that low civilization world to participate in pioneering it.
Snap out of it, Assad looked at the young man and woman in front of him; although their faces didn’t show naivety, he immediately understood why they had brought the baby girl to him.
They’ve come searching for a dad.
“You two go back first, I’ll handle this.”
Assad didn’t hesitate and decisively took charge.
“Sorry for the trouble.”
Linn said politely, leaving the principal’s office with Betty.
After playing with the quiet little girl for a bit, Assad took out his personal smart device, contacting Renee who hadn’t returned to the school’s headquarters yet.
“Why are you looking to contact me at a time like this?”
On the day after the wedding, Assad returned to his “free to do anything” job, and Renee who was also not idle, was currently accompanying Sage Selene on a visit to the industries.
This includes not only Sage Selene’s personal industries but also the new industries that Ayla established under the name of the Potion Research Group with approval from Sage Selene which she purchased.
“Do you have some time? Come over.”
Assad aimed the camera at the little girl and the open letter. “What do you think this is?”
Renee looked at the little girl on the screen and immediately exclaimed “Wow! What a cute baby!”
After the exclamation, Renee then noticed the three sentences written on the letter.
“Are we going to raise her?”
Renee asked with expectation.
If she were to return to the school’s headquarters tomorrow, she basically wouldn’t be able to take the baby girl along, and the girl would have to be given to Link and Jasmine.
For outsiders wanting to enter the school’s headquarters, approval is required and the process is very cumbersome.
Kik
Considering the situation of the baby girl, she basically wouldn’t be granted permission.
So, Assad showing her the baby girl definitely had this intention.
“Do you want to raise her?”
Assad asked with a smile.
“Yes!”
Renee immediately confirmed her response.
“Then let’s raise her up!”
Assad decided without hesitation. “I’ll take her home now.”
“Alright, I’ll be home in a bit.”
Renee responded excitedly.
The two ended their call.@@novelbin@@
Assad finished up his ongoing work and then went home with the baby girl.
Yesterday they just finished their wedding ceremony, and when they rested at night, they were fantasizing about when they could have a child.
Both of them became Tier 3 Wizards, and wanting a child was not an easy thing.
Especially now, when the two were busy with their careers, their time to conceive was not abundant.
It truly was destiny, today a baby girl arrived and they got to adopt her.
What?
No blood relation?
It’s adoption anyway, who cares about blood relation!
The school premises.
Link completed the “construction” project in the Fairy World and returned, noticing Jasmine sitting in the living room with her eyebrows knitted tightly.
One look at her expression, he knew something must have happened.
“What’s wrong?”
Walking over and sitting down beside Jasmine, Link gently asked, “Wanna talk about it?”
At his words, Jasmine told Link everything about how Christina had entrusted them with the task of care and how the baby was adopted by Assad and Renee.
“Hm?”
After listening to Jasmine’s explanation, Link also furrowed his brows.
Yesterday, after returning to his home country, Link specifically sent an email to Christina asking about the situation of her and her daughter.
But there was no reply.
Today, they’ve been entrusted with the girl!
“Let Assad and Renee raise her for now.”
After contemplating for a while, Link made a decision. “In my name, give a sum of Magic Stones to Assad as child support.”
“Hmm.”
Jasmine nodded, not insisting on paying herself.
Whether it was paid by Link or her, there was no difference.
After all, Link’s income was currently managed by her.
“Don’t think about this matter for now.”
Link took a deep breath, pushed down the matter of Christina entrusting the girl to them, and hoped Jasmine wouldn’t think about it anymore.
Instead of thinking about something that was out of reach and couldn’t be changed, it’s better to focus on oneself.
“Hmm.”
Jasmine nodded her head and got up to walk towards the dining room. “Let’s eat.”
Dinner started in a silent atmosphere and ended in one.
After dinner, instead of chatting over a cup of tea with Link, Jasmine went straight upstairs to her bedroom.
Her mood had swung quite a bit in these past two days. It would be better to stay alone for while to adjust.
Link entered the study room and retrieved the insect race evolution radiation source that the smart steward had received on behalf of him, and stored it in the safe of the study.
From placing the order to its delivery, and then to its arrival, almost two months have elapsed.
If this speed were to be compared with Link’s previous world, it would be criticized to death!
Taking out a box the size of a 14-inch notebook from the safe which upon opening reveals neatly arranged insect race evolution radiation sources the size of a fingernail, a hundred in total. At the sight of this, the “small world” started to pulse.
What do you think?
