Chapter 31: Chapter 27: High-End Flirting Moves, I’ll Demonstrate Only Once Chapter 31: Chapter 27: High-End Flirting Moves, I’ll Demonstrate Only Once Ah!

Early the next morning, a scream suddenly erupted from Zixia’s room.

The sound echoed throughout the entire Axe Guild fortress, startling all the gang members awake.

“Damn it! Hogging it all to yourself! Let’s see how your master deals with you!”

After cursing, the Second-in-command continued to sleep with Cen Zhen and Cen Changqing’s wife in his arms.

“What happened?”

Li Ping’an, who had been sleeping soundly, was jolted awake and saw Zixia clutching the blanket over her bare body, glancing now at the crimson-stained sheets, now at her own naked body, and finally locking eyes with the equally naked Li Ping’an.

At that moment, Zixia understood everything, her eyes brimming with hot tears as she stared at Li Ping’an in utter terror:

“Li Ping’an! You! Beast!”

“Master, I…”

As Li Ping’an was about to get up and explain, Zixia immediately turned and shouted:

“You beast! Put on your clothes first! Don’t pollute my sight with your filthy body!”

Li Ping’an quickly dressed, then shrank into a corner of the room, allowing her to vent her anger.

“I’m going to kill you! You shameless lecher!”

Zixia pinched her right hand into a sword technique, and with a whoosh from the table, two Flying Swords aimed straight for Li Ping’an’s neck.

“Wait!”

Li Ping’an cried out, spreading his hands and explaining helplessly:

“Master! I was helping you detoxify, and besides, last night you insisted on… I kept refusing… but you forced yourself on me… saying you would marry no one but me… dreaming about me all the time…”

Li Ping’an explained while feigning the grievance of a wronged little wife.

“Shut up! You knew I was afflicted with the ‘Indecent Immovable’ poison, yet you took advantage of me… For that alone, you deserve to die!

Zixia was so furious her eyes were splitting, and she gritted her teeth, wishing she could devour Li Ping’an alive, yet she hesitated to strike.

“If I didn’t detoxify you, you would have been paralyzed for the rest of your life, master. You’ve traveled far and wide, you should know the consequences of not curing the ‘Indecent Immovable’ poison, right? I was trying to help you, and yet you still want to kill me?”

Li Ping’an had thought that upon waking, Zixia would silently accept the irreversible situation. He hadn’t expected that her gentle exterior hid such a fierce temperament, not the kind of woman to resign herself to fate, but now, it seemed nothing he said would help.

“Acting the good guy after taking advantage? I’m not just going to kill you, I’m going to kill all of you!”

Zixia said, tears streaming down her face, which made Li Ping’an incredibly heartbroken.

“Master, go ahead and kill!”

Li Ping’an could fully understand Zixia’s feelings at this moment, but none of this was his doing; he could only try to console her sincerely.

But trying to reason with Zixia, who was overwhelmed with anger, was impossible in the usual way, so he quickly switched tactics, adopting another extreme, saying fearlessly:

“Zixia, what will it change if you kill me? Now that it’s done, it’s done. Can killing me and everyone else change anything?”

“You’re shameless!”

Zixia also understood this principle, but she was unwilling to be manipulated by Li Ping’an and the Five-Finger Mountain Axe Gang in such a manner, and what was crucial was that what she lost was something even more important than life—her innocence!

How marvelous!

Li Ping’an, extremely adept at reading expressions and adapting his approach, saw that although Zixia shouted about fighting and killing, she hadn’t made a move until now. Instead, she fell into a hesitation that seemed to come from being caught between conflicting emotions. Growing bolder, he actually walked towards Zixia, despite the Flying Sword pressed against his throat.

“Master, the truth is, from the moment I saw you, I fell hopelessly in love with you!”

Li Ping’an’s face showed sincerity and fearlessness, but inside, he was a complete mess, as it was the first time he was confessing his feelings under the threat of death.

However, through this series of actions, he was certain that Zixia wouldn’t kill him. With every step he took forward, Zixia controlled the distance between the Flying Sword and Li Ping’an’s throat, not harming his life.

“Before I met Master, I often dreamed of a woman who looked exactly like Master and was also called Zixia. I fell in love with her at first sight, and she fell in love with me at first sight. We made a love pact and lived together in my dreams. Then one day, she told me in a dream that she wanted to meet me in reality.”

“But up until now, I am a nobody with no accomplishments, without a single skill to rely on, lazy in body and mind, unable to discern grains, unable to read words, and unable to protect myself. In these chaotic times, I barely scrape by, and frankly, I’m a complete waste. How could I be worthy of someone as noble and beautiful as her?”

“So, I intentionally stopped dreaming, and eventually, I could never dream about her again!”

Li Ping’an’s rambling and fabrications were not spontaneous but had substance.

Last night, when they were up to that business, Zixia, lost in her infatuation, accidentally mentioned a recurring dream about a lover who looked like Li Ping’an.

Li Ping’an only remembered vaguely, and to soothe Zixia, he incorporated himself into the story Zixia had mentioned the night before.

However, judging by Zixia’s reaction from waking up to now, it seemed that apart from knowing she had become Li Ping’an’s woman, she had completely forgotten everything else.

Indecent Immovable is indeed the world’s greatest aphrodisiac, even capable of causing memory loss!

“Didn’t you say you were hit in the head by the Human-Headed Dog Demon and lost your memory? How come you still remember this? Do you ever tell the truth?”

“I…”

Li Ping’an was not at all flustered and immediately seized Zixia’s hand passionately:

“That’s right! I’ve forgotten everything, even who I am, but only you, only the memories with you, I can’t and dare not forget!”

Zixia, long past the age of naive crushes, hardened and matured by many years, naturally would not easily believe Li Ping’an’s nonsense, but his next words moved her immensely.

“Once, a genuine affection was before me, and I did not cherish it. When I lost it, I regretted it deeply. There is nothing more painful in the world than this… Let your sword pierce my throat, don’t hesitate anymore!”

Li Ping’an’s eyes immediately moistened, and he looked up with deep emotion, continuing:

“If heaven could give me another chance, I would tell that girl three words: I love you. If I had to put a deadline on this love, I would wish it to be… ten thousand years!”

With a clang, Zixia’s Flying Sword dropped, and her tears also fell. She was not a naïve young girl easily deceived, only because the lover in the dream indeed had said that phrase, unknown to anyone else.

Even so, she was still half in doubt about Li Ping’an’s declarations of love. The reason for her emotional response was the depth of feeling Li Ping’an showed, leaving her completely powerless and passive in the situation.

As Li Ping’an said, what would killing him achieve? What’s done is done, impossible to change, unless there was a Moonlight Treasure Box!

“Star Lord’s techniques for chasing a girl are indeed extraordinary!”
