Chapter 2230: Leading a Group

Zhao Hai doesn’t know how the Tyrant Blade Sect would manage the crisis, but he believed that they would do well. The Tyrant Blade Sect has existed in the True Spirit Realm for many years. They already have their own protocols on how to traverse any problems. If their protocols were flawed, they would have been destroyed a long time ago.

At this time, Zhao Hai arrived in the Long Clan and went to Long Tian. Long Tian didn’t expect to see Zhao Hai at this time. He was aware that Zhao Hai was currently in the tiger’s den. Long Tian sighed and said, “So it really came, what are your thoughts?”

Zhao Hai sighed and said, “I don’t have much to think about. If they want to go to war, then we’ll fight. I have already informed the Tyrant Blade Sect. I believe they have already started preparing. The Long Clan shouldn’t participate immediately. I’ll pass this information to the underground world. The ghost cultivators will not let this opportunity go. Zhao Hai replied, “It won’t be easy. However, I believe that once the ghost cultivators appear, the sects of the realm wouldn’t just allow them to go around and rampage. They might reunite to deal with the ghost cultivators. They would ease some of the Long Clan’s burdens.”

Long Tian smiled bitterly and said, “Let’s hope. Alright, let’s not talk about this. Since you have confirmed the information, your mission is considered finished. What are your plans now?”

Zhao Hai smiled bitterly and said, “Next thing I will do is to look at the movements of the Battle Corpse Sect. If they want me to return to the underground world, I will. If they want me to stay, I will stay. I don’t want to discard my True Disciple status just yet.”

Long Tian looked at Zhao Hai and said, “And why is that?”

Zhao Hai smiled faintly and said, “I haven’t retaliated enough. With this status, I can cause better chaos in the underground world. Wouldn’t that be better?”

Long Tian stared, then he immediately understood Zhao Hai’s plan. He looked at Zhao Hai and said, “This is a dangerous plan. Once the ghost cultivators discover your identity and manage to find you, you’re dead.”

Zhao Hai smiled and said, “That won’t matter. It won’t be easy for them to find me. Don’t forget, I’m a True Disciple of the Battle Corpse Sect. With that status, nobody would easily suspect me. Right, Elder, I must go. I can’t be away for too long.”

Long Tian nodded, then he said, “Little Hai, haven’t you thought of joining the Forbidden Path Sect?”

Zhao Hai replied, “Let’s take one step at a time. I really haven’t thought of joining the Forbidden Path Sect.” Then he stood up and cupped his fist towards Long Tian. In an instant, his body vanished and reappeared in his quarters inside the Blood Knife Gang’s headquarters.

After returning to his room, Zhao Hai immediately took out a late slip and passed the information to the Battle Corpse Sect. In any case, the sect will learn about this sooner or later. It wasn’t a big deal.

After passing the information, Zhao Hai walked out of his room and saw Ma Long and Liu Cai sitting in the courtyard. It was clear that they had just returned. They didn’t expect Zhao Hai to also be back. 

Zhao Hai looked at the two and said, “Senior Brothers, you’re back. Let’s go to the living room.” The two know that Zhao Hai has something to tell them, so they immediately walked towards the living room with Zhao Hai.

Once the three sat down in the living room, Zhao Hai said, “I just sent information back to the sect along with our names. The alliance between the Demonic Faction and the Devil Faction has been confirmed. And they are also preparing to attack the righteous faction. But as to when they will attack, we don’t know. Now, we’ll wait for the sect’s instructions.”

Ma Long and Liu Cai stared. They didn’t expect Zhao Hai to tell them this. Just then, they were still clamouring for any news. Now they were wondering whether or not Zhao Hai was lying to them.

One couldn’t blame Ma Long and Liu Cai. There was no friendship between ghost cultivators. Mistrust was very common among them. If Zhao Hai wanted to claim all of the credit, it was natural for him to deceive them.

Zhao Hai saw the two’s expressions and knew what they were thinking. He coldly snorted and said, “What are you thinking about? If I wanted to take all the credit, I wouldn’t have told you anything. I just confirmed the news from Wang Da. The Forbidden Path Sect has issued a recruitment order to Wang Da to participate in the war. It’s because of this that I got the news. We managed to confirm it earlier than we expected.”

Hearing Zhao Hai, Ma Long and Liu Cai’s faces couldn’t help but turn red. They didn’t expect Zhao Hai to read their minds.

Zhao Hai looked at the two and said, “You must be careful in the following days. We cannot reveal anything wrong with us. Otherwise, the consequences will be unimaginable.” Ṛ𝙖ℕȮβЁṣ

The two nodded. Then Zhao Hai said, “Go look around for information in the third city. Find out when the Forbidden Path Sect will recruit disciples or when the Demonic and Devil Alliance plan to attack the Righteous Faction.”

Ma Long and Liu Cai nodded. Deep inside, the two were embarrassed. They felt that they haven’t been working hard enough. All the information they have come from Zhao Hai. On the other hand, they weren’t able to get even a sliver of useful news. This made them feel that they were useless.

Zhao Hai saw the expression of the two and knew that they were feeling. He nodded and said, “Alright, you can go back. We still have a few tasks to do in the following days. We need to be careful until we get word back from the sect.” The two nodded.

At this time, a knock was heard from outside. Then Liu Zhen’s voice was heard, “Brother, are you in?”

Zhao Hai quickly stood up and replied, “Brother Liu, I’m here. Please come in.” Then he walked out of the living room to see Liu Zhen waiting outside.

Zhao Hai quickly asked Liu Zhen to come in. After sitting down, Liu Zhen looked at Zhao Hai and said, “Brother, I heard from the Gang Master that you got information from the Abundance Hall. You did great. The Gang Master is full of praise towards you.”

Zhao Hai smiled and said, “It’s not much. The Abundance Hall is also willing to establish a relationship with us. It’s a matter of gesture for them. I was only there to retrieve something they’re willing to give.”

Liu Zhen laughed and said, “You kid. You really like to hide. Although you’re only at the Soul Fusion Stage, your ability to get results is very good. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have sent you to the Abundance Hall to inquire. Alright, let’s not talk about this. I went to the mission hall just now and saw a mission that goes to Split River City. I have taken the mission and I’m ready to send 50 people. I’m planning to have you lead. What do you think?”

Zhao Hai stared, he didn’t expect Liu Zhen to make him a group leader this early. It must be known that it hasn’t been a long time since he joined the Blood Knife Gang. But because you have only joined the gang recently, you don’t have any contributions. Even if the Gang Master wants to promote you, it would be impossible. The mission this time should help you gain contributions. Convince everyone that you have the capability. So, in the future, if we want to promote you, nobody will say anything. Do you understand?”

Upon hearing Liu Zhen, Zhao Hai couldn’t help but smile bitterly. He has no plans to get promoted and excel in the Blood Knife Gang. But some people still want him to be promoted. Zhao Hai couldn’t possibly decline and cause Wang Da to suspect him. Therefore, he could only agree, “Alright, I’ll lead this mission.”

Liu Zhen showed a satisfied nod.  Then he gave Zhao Hai some information with regards to the upcoming mission.
