Chapter 1477 1477: The War Body (4)
(A/N: Wherever it says Skullius' body, note that it is referring to his current form as a soul. A soul body.)
[Name: Skullius Festos Dawn]
[-War Body-]
Because of the Third Grand Tier Andori, 'Instant Embodiment of Perfection', you possess a Default Body for casual living, and a War Body for excessive, violent activity.
---
[Ascension Status: Broader Existence Phase --]
Your ascension to Divinity has changed your progression. Your overall rise in power will be measured by how you extend and improve your Broader Existence – the delicate space between your body and soul. Each qualitative increase in the Broader Existence elevates the efficiency and power of all Andori, Exotic Parlous Natures, and the Immortal Physique.
---
[AKH: ---]
To progress to other Phases of your Broader Existence, you have to obtain the required AKHASHA units per Phase.

…
Indeed, values scarcely mattered to the War Body – to the Sovereign of Refined Anarchy.
Or rather, the Nullinity's Herald. Indeed, in this state, Skullius had a new race too. One that would stagger even the Four Authorities if they were to learn what it was.
This was what was matched against a nigh insurmountable number of pastel-blue spears, each of which could destroy a dozen small worlds if met with no obstructions. Indeed, their might was impressive, as was that of Omni-Radiance, which held the Fated Reef together with their collective strength.
…And the Nullinity's Herald had no reason to fear them. All of them.
His Aggregate Inclination Retainer had not finished serving its purpose. Where its user couldn't fathom the properties of any enemy attacks because of his weaker physique, it took charge.
Once again, its eyes throbbed with horrific bands of merigold Ju`wtte, and the same coursed through Skullius' body.
His body (soul body, that was) while devoid of great statistical figures, Physiques and Exotic Parlous Natures, was godly. It could hold an unlimited amount of power and be marionetted to perform the most terrifying feats of raw strength by the Aggregate Retainer.
Why was a mere Retainer able to puppeteer him?
Well, one reason was the Ju`wtte coursing through it. Ju`wtte was a Warmoth's lifeblood, a power with many purposes. It could carry the user's will, and that will was being siphoned into the Retainer through the Ju`wtte, controlling it.
But there was something else. Future Skullius had not abandoned the concept behind the Preeminent Attegoth, and by extension, the Stolen Angel.
Indeed, the organism was created to act as a proxy for Skullius and his abilities.
The same principle was applied on the Aggregate Inclination Retainer. It acted on his behalf.
And thus…
The Aggregate Inclination Retainer roared, and the Nullinity's Herald moved. His wakizashi and gladius slashed and stabbed respectively, but both did not meet any of the spears. At least not head on.
The simple movements, mere flicks of the four-dimensional blades… were carried out an infinite number of times in a second!
One spear approached the Herald only to be struck by an unseen blow and sent spinning away. Another, aiming for the Aggregate Inclination Retainer, but was pierced through by a blade far away from it and shredded back into intangible light.
Another fell, and then another, and another and another.
Great, solar-flare-like sparks ignited the world each time a spear met the mysterious powers of both blades. Heat and flame seethed and roared every miniscule instance of time until the Fated Reef became hotter than a hundred stars.
It was madness.
Sound was left in the dust. The clanging sound that followed way after the event would have collapsed several worlds and even caused a vibration through the great void.
The Herald's sword swings – swipes and thrusts – were graceful and almost effortless. But even Nunax, who gnashed her teeth, her eyes close to spilling from her head, couldn't see them. They moved too quickly!
It was inconceivable. Each and every one of her clones failed to strike her enemy. Each spear was destroyed or parried by two hands wielding two weapons. These weapons weren't even Treasures, and neither even touched so much as a single spear physically!
How? How?!
It wasn't immediately clear to the Corrupted Deity.
She was so distracted by her own thoughts that she failed to respond to what her opponent did after embarrassing her and making sure she wasted half of her energy reserves for nothing.
Merigold Ju`wtte traced his upper arms and one more weapon appeared in his hand.
It too was a masterful blend of colours and four-dimensional. It was a great bow as long as he was tall, and almost seemed to be made out of cleverly interconnected little spades. Its string was one thin line of darkness, almost invisible to the eye.
The Nullinity's Herald placed his free upper hand over the spine twisting around his waist, and an arrow of four-dimensional quality spilled out of it and into his grasp. It too was as long as he was tall, and he immediately nocked it on his bow.
Nunax gaped.
What was this now?
Was this monstrosity going to try and shoot him?
From one of the Ju`wtta along Skullius' upper arms – a white one – Enlightened Ju`wtte sprang forth and traced the arrow. It was white, different from the merigold kind.
Nunax panicked. This differently coloured Ju`wtte was dangerous. She didn't know why, but she knew, and that was all that mattered. She readied herself to avoid the arrow. She had to at all costs.
Skullius' modest smile grew.
"A shame. You're not dodging this, I'm afraid," he said, and he loosened the arrow… to the ground.
…!!!
As soon as the arrow was released, the little hawk tending to the spectators transported them high above, as far as was considered the ceiling of the tiled space. (The four, like Nunax, couldn't leave the bounds of the tiled space.)
Nunax had half a mind to try and stop the arrow, but she was delayed by the momentary relief she felt at the fact that the arrow wasn't aiming for her directly.
But that relief turned into panic almost immediately.
As soon as the arrow touched the boundary of Nunax's Fated Reef (what was designated as its floor), a shuttle of bright white light exploded out in a fierce shockwave.
The Fated Reef was obliterated in an instant, all the duplicates of Nunax along with it. The way it was dispelled like some fog by the flash of pristine light made it seem inconsequential – unimpressive. Once again, the tiled space was revealed, its translucent walls teasing the Empyrean Bosom.
But also…
"KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHH!"
Nunax's scream pierced the space; it was vibrant, gripping and chilling.
The spectators and even those hidden in the buildings within the Empyrean Bosom shuddered and covered their ears.
What could have caused a Deity to scream like this?
What kind of agony could diminish a god to this degree?
The answer was simple.
What do you think?
