Chapter 1480 1480: The War Body (7)
Nunax's Broader Existence had been altered by many moons, and by extension, different types of light. It wasn't an ordinary Broader Existence anymore, strictly limited in its application by standard convention. Because of this mutation, which resulted because of her Corruption, her Broader Existence had an unusually synergistic relationship with her body and soul.
However different it might have been to other Broader Existences though, it was still a tremendous source of power for her, just like all Broader Existences were for their respective Divines.
…Thus, she sacrificed it to bolster her soul body.
Future Skullius was taken aback.
Nunax suddenly exploded with radiant light and then let loose a chilling scream. It was a cry of both agony and resolve.
Indeed, she was doing it. She was giving up her Broader Existence. She was likely one of the few in this Reality (those who weren't Corrupted in a similar manner to her) capable of doing such a thing successfully.
While collapsing her Broader Existence in on itself, Nunax felt her Immortal Physique collapse, as well as her Fated Reefs break down into pure fuel. Her Exotic Parlous Natures, varying types of light-based concepts and essences, however, were not lost – sacrificed. Instead, they invigorated each and every cell in her body, transforming each one into something truly profound even by the standards of the highest quality racial species in this Reality.
Skullius made an 'O' with his mouth. He had been apprehensive at first, but the more he watched Nunax's vast figure turn… richer and more detailed, something clicked in his head.
He grinned.
'So, it is possible. That's how you do it, huh? Corruption?' he thought.
Was this the best way to shed away a Broader Existence then?
Quite like his younger self, Future Skullius had considered if it was at all possible to shed away the Broader Existence. That delicate space, with how it was tied to AKHASHA, limited the growth potential of anyone who wasn't the Primeval Deities, after all.
But Future Skullius hadn't been able to find the right method to escape this clutch. AKHASHA's hold over every Divine who didn't want to perish after their Constern expired was firm.
'Fascinating. I didn't expect to learn something new,' the Sovereign thought, and then he readied his wakizashi and gladius.
The look in Nunax's white eyes, now gleaming with a perfect lavender, was horrific. She was out for blood, emboldened by the new power brimming in her body. It was vicious indeed, but as it appeared…

Nunax: 33,900 Standard Units
~~~
Skullius laughed.
The Standard Unit system was flawed.
Previously, when Nunax absorbed the condensed light from all her moons, it had judged that her strength was over 51,000 Standard Units.
It was designed to judge an individual's strength based on the contents of their Broader Existence after all. Now that Nunax had lost her Broader Existence however, sacrificing it for augments to her soul body, it judged that she was weaker now, when she was actually stronger.
The Standard Unit system had made a false assessment with Skullius too. Even though he was indeed weaker than his peak Default Body's strength at the moment, the gap wasn't as vast as the Standard Unit system made it out to be.
'Well, I never took it too seriously,' he thought.
Nunax attacked right then.
She hadn't gone full-on reckless just yet. She was fearful of getting hit by Skullius' arrows directly – just as the Sovereign had judged. Thus, she opted for another means of attack.
As strange as it was, Nunax had also sacrificed her Amras along with her Broader Existence. She turned her very augmented soul into fuel for her attacks. As it were, her light-based soul body, was efficient fuel for her light-based abilities.
Indeed, this was the means most Fiends in the great void powered their abilities.
Propping her hands forward, Nunax's figure blazed with great power. She sent some dreadful attack towards Skullius… Or at least it looked she was about to. Nothing visible spilled from her towards the Nullinity's Herald.
…!!!
While even Deities of a high calibre could have missed it, Skullius didn't.
'Crafty,' he thought.
Quite like how Nunax had transformed so many photons released by her Omni-Radiance into clones of herself, she had sent a nigh infinite projectile attacks, too small for most Divine eyes, at him right then!
They moved especially fast – faster than her spears of Glad Sorrows.
But even more frightening than that was their composition. They were like photons, but also…smaller, somehow with and without mass. Additionally, they possessed the qualities of all the light-based Natures Nunax had access to because of her moons.
It was… treachery.
But Skullius was thrilled. He hadn't thought this Deity was this competent and potent.
Just who had sealed her in the Taming Appixel?
'This is far beyond the realm of Exotic Parlous Natures! Is she touching upon the |Greater Cosmic Law| as well? If so, no wonder…' Skullius thought.
The Aggregate Inclination Retainer had already been responding to the threat, forcing his body to react appropriately.
The Retainer once again ignited the Seed of the Fruit of World Myths known as Limited Paradox, and like before, Skullius brandished his swords against the threat. His wakizashi moved first, despite not being as quick in his hands as the gladius. Holding it laterally before him, Skullius refined its blade. It was made of his bones, after all. The blade's thickness dwindled while its sharpness soared. It thinned and thinned and thinned until it could no longer be seen.
…And then it thinned further still such that even without moving, it began to cut through the fabric of space. It went thinner than that still.
Only then did it manage to meet the first of the incoming particles. The tiny thing could not contend with the sharpness of the blade. It was split in half… but not destroyed.
Another came, and the point of Skullius' gladius sharpened. As he thrusted, it crushed another particle and it exploded… but wasn't destroyed.
'I see,' Skullius thought, scoffing. And he did see, but that wasn't going to stop him.
Again, his swords fell on the particles, crushing and cutting them infinitely in a second before they could touch him.
What do you think?
