"Because of me?" I asked, bewildered.

The mini Latina—no, the Demon Lord—pointed her tiny finger at me, her little hand trembling with accusation. I was utterly confused. What had I done to deserve being blamed for the Goddess and Demon Lord swapping forms?

‘…I can’t say I’m completely guilt-free, though.’

In fact, I had plenty of reasons to feel guilty, though not exactly for this particular situation. I wracked my brain, but nothing came to mind that would explain why they appeared from the holy spear in Leona and Latina's forms.

“What did the holy spear receive while my sister was gone?” the Demon Lord demanded.

“…Faith,” I answered cautiously.

“And what about the succubi's faith, which belongs to a demonic being?”

“…That was the holy spear as well.”

“Exactly! Human faith and demonic faith were both absorbed into the holy spear instead of being directed toward us as gods! How could we not be reborn from the holy spear when it collected everything meant for us? You devious creature! You must’ve done this on purpose, gathering faith intentionally!” she accused, jabbing at me again.@@novelbin@@

“Sister, don’t be so rash. It’s unlikely the human did it on purpose,” the Goddess tried to calm her down.

The Demon Lord continued to hit my arm with her tiny hands, but it wasn’t painful at all, so I let her continue for a moment. Latina, observing this from the side, had a strange look on her face. She was probably feeling odd seeing a mini version of herself doing this to me.

“I get why you appeared from the holy spear, but why do you look like this? Neither of you looked like this before,” I asked, trying to piece it all together.

“That’s because of you too!” the Demon Lord barked. “When our divinity became tied to the holy spear, it affected our forms as well. Since those two have the strongest connection to the holy spear’s divinity, we ended up looking like them!”
