Chapter 274
"Why is she calling you 'unnie'?"
Even though I asked that question, Kang Yuna, who normally would have snapped at me for my tone with her, remained unusually quiet. Instead, she was glancing around, as if trying to gauge my reaction.
‘Did this hit her harder than I thought?’
Considering that Kang Yuna, who had lived on Earth her whole life and was an A-rank hunter of the Eternal Guild, had just been thrown into a completely different world, it made sense.
She was overwhelmed by the sheer scale of renting out a quarter of the empire's capital for my birthday banquet, meeting people of high status whom she had only heard about, and getting involved with the heads of the Eternal Guild who were practically clinging to me, flaunting our relationship. To top it off, Kang Ra-hye, whom Yuna had been close to, was actually a person of such high status that even the emperor respected her.
And, to put the cherry on top, Nika, her superior, had taken me away and returned with cryptic words. Looking back, it was understandable if she felt uneasy.
‘...But this doesn’t seem like that kind of reaction.’
However, the reason Diana was so friendly with her, calling her 'unnie', seemed different. It didn’t feel like they were just bonding over the fact that she was my older sister. It felt like there was something more.
‘Did she tell them?’
If Kang Yuna had shared the fact that she was from another world, that would certainly spark their curiosity. Otherwise, it didn’t make sense that both Diana and Trisha would start acting all chummy, calling her 'unnie'.
Trisha, maybe. But Diana wasn’t the type to be so friendly. As a merchant, she was used to hiding her feelings and forcing smiles, not forming close bonds.
"Maybe they just have similar tastes?"
But Diana’s answer was completely unexpected.
"After talking with Yuna-unnie, I realized she has very refined and sophisticated tastes. We stumbled upon that fact by chance, but after exchanging souls, it became undeniable."@@novelbin@@
"...What exactly is 'refined and sophisticated'?"
What do you think?
