As humans and demons grew more accustomed to each other, something inevitably drew them closer together.

“...Not much time left now.”

It was the final exams.

“Isn’t it ironic? I’ve graduated countless times, yet I feel a pang in my heart at the thought of this last one,” Laura murmured with a slightly bitter expression as she reviewed the exam schedule.

For Laura, a third-year student, this would be her final exam. After the exams, she’d have winter break, then graduation at the beginning of the new year, and from that point, she’d no longer be a student at Bellium Academy.@@novelbin@@

In the past, a graduation ceremony wouldn’t have meant much to her, but not anymore. She had made too many memories here to dismiss it as indifferently as she’d done with past milestones.

“Can’t you keep visiting after you graduate?”

“It’s not that simple, Leona. Once I leave here, I must prepare to ascend the throne in earnest.”

That was true. Graduation itself wasn’t an issue for someone like Laura, who could return whenever she wanted. The real problem was the Imperial Studies classes she’d have to start after leaving the academy.

Once she graduated and officially began learning Imperial Studies, it would be almost impossible for her to find free time, much less time for leisurely visits. At best, she might be able to squeeze in a brief break.
