Brothel Manager : Unexpected Encounter with A Hidden Family Heirloom

Chapter 374 : Cheaters

Bella sat there, grappling with an unfamiliar sense of uncertainty. Throughout her life, she had dealt with individuals who either bowed to her status and power or those who stood against her, inviting swift action.

Yet, here is a man who defied her expectations entirely, unflinchingly composed and unmoved by her presence. He didn't cower before her influence, nor did he show any inclination to oppose them outright. The mysterious aura surrounding Das confounded her.

As they exchanged words, Bella couldn't help but feel outmanoeuvred. She pondered the best course of action, acutely aware that attempting to assert dominance over this enigmatic figure might prove futile. His calm demeanour, coupled with the air of confidence that exuded from him, left her with a sense of unease.

Latha, on the other hand, wore her impatience openly. Frustration flickered across her face as Das's smile, tinged with amusement, only seemed to fuel her irritation. She wanted answers, and she wanted them now.

"What is that surprise?" Latha finally demanded, unable to bear the mysterious smile on Das's face any longer.

Das, with his enigmatic smile intact, seemed unperturbed by Latha's impatience. He responded to her query in a way that both intrigued and teased, "What is this temper, princess? If I say what it is, it won't be a surprise."

Latha felt her frustration rise further, but before she could protest, Bella intervened with a stern command.

"Latha, don't waste our time with this nonsense. Show him the picture."

Latha nodded obediently, and with a sense of reluctant understanding, she brought forth the picture she had intended to reveal. She took out her tab and showed the picture of Luis, The Aries family young master coming out of Das house.

The atmosphere was charged with tension as they awaited Das's reaction, each moment feeling like a carefully calculated move in a complex game.

Das fixed his gaze on the picture of Luis, studying it intently for what felt like an eternity. Bella watched him closely, but his expression remained stoic, betraying no emotions.

"What is this about?" Das finally asked, his attention shifting from the photograph to Latha.

Latha couldn't contain her frustration any longer. "Das, stop acting. I know that you are playing a double game," she accused, her voice laced with anger.

Das couldn't help but scoff at the accusations. "Hmmhh... what a low-level people. They can't keep their own promises and speak like righteous chickens," he retorted casually, seemingly unbothered.

Latha, however, was not so willing to let him off the hook. She raised her voice angrily, her eyes locked onto Das's face. "Das, stop playing games! We know you're betraying us," she accused vehemently.

Das turned his attention to Sana, who stood nearby in a respectful posture. "Sana, what do we call people who won't keep their promises?" he asked, his tone mocking.

"Cheaters, Master," Sana replied promptly, her words sharp and direct as she bowed.

Latha couldn't contain her rage at Das's taunts. "How dare you?" she exclaimed, pointing an accusatory finger at Sana.

"What…? Did she say something wrong, Princess?" Das responded mockingly.

"I don't think so. Your sister promised me that… no one from the Farus family would spy on me or a put a finger in my personal space. But this is the second time you guys have spied on me. So, isn't your sister a cheater?" he questioned sharply, his voice turning cold with each word and filled with anger, the tension in the room palpable.

Latha's anger was palpable as she unsheathed a dagger from her side holster, her eyes locked onto Das with an intense glare. The tension in the room surged as the situation threatened to escalate.

"You... how dare you call my sister a cheater. I will..." Latha began, her voice trembling with rage.

Bella, however, knew that they needed to tread carefully. She didn't fully understand why Latha was reacting so strongly, but she didn't want to provoke an unnecessary confrontation with Das without knowing all the details.@@novelbin@@

"Latha, stop. Do you forget the purpose of your visit. Put the dagger away." Bella shouted loudly, her voice cutting through the tension and commanding everyone's attention.

Latha hesitated for a moment, her dagger poised and ready. "Aunt, why are you still stopping me? He is clearly betraying us," she argued, her anger not subsiding.

Bella sighed and gave a stern look. "Latha, I said stop. Are you forgetting purpose of our visit?"

While Bella kept Latha in check, Das calmly poured himself a cup of hot coffee, seemingly unaffected by the commotion around him. He sipped the coffee with casual indifference, his eyes fixed on the two women before him.

"See, Das, we're not spying on you. We're spying on Luis. So, my princess didn't break her promise. The important thing is that we came here to give you a chance—a chance to prove your loyalty, a chance to prove your worth, and a chance for you to rise in society's rankings." Bella began to explain their true intentions.

But Das wasn't buying it. He leaned back in his seat, taking another sip of coffee.

"Madam, stop using your carrot-and-stick game on me. I won't fall for your good cop and bad cop act."

"Tell me directly. What is the purpose of your visit? Or should I ask, what do you want from me? I won't believe in favours. Tell me what you want, and I'll tell you what I need in exchange, like a business deal."

Das asked in a clam tone while wondering what this two ladies really ask him for. He never thought that Bella came to ask him for the same gift he want to give them freely. "Luis."

Bella and Latha stared at Das for brief moment as they never expected Das to see though their act of good cop and bad cop from the start.

"Good... Very good. I really like the way you put it. Yes... Let's call it a Business deal."

"We want Luis... the Young master of the Aries family. Can you do it?" Bella asked directly with a straight face.

"Haha... Haha... hahaha..." Das laughed loudly as he did not expect this answer from Bella.

Actually Das want to present Luis for the Farus family in free of cost. But now, they came for it on their own. So, why would he leave this golden chance to milk out the Farus family wealth and resources.

Bella and Latha exchanged glances, clearly surprised by Das's astute observations and amused by his laughter. They hadn't anticipated his response.

He found their straightforwardness rather refreshing, and it aligned perfectly with his own intentions. As they referred to their arrangement as a business deal, Das couldn't help but chuckle.

"Haha... Haha... hahaha..." Das's laughter continued to echo through the room, catching Bella and Latha off guard. They exchanged puzzled glances, wondering what had amused him so much.

After a moment, Das composed himself and leaned forward, his gaze fixed on Bella. "You want Luis, the Young Master of the Aries family. Are you sure?" Das asked, his expression serious.

"Yes. Can you do it?" Bella questioned him in return as her face turned serious.

"I suppose I can do that," Das replied with a grin. "But you see, such a task demands resources, effort, and, of course, compensation. What can you offer me in return for presenting Luis?" Das asked as he leaned back in a relaxed posture.

The room seemed to buzz with tension as the negotiation began in earnest, each party calculating what they could gain from this intricate dance of power and intrigue.

"I will make you a country head. After Farus family taking control of this sub-continent, we will make you the head of this entire country." Bella said in a grandeur tone as she thought it is a biggest offer for Das.

But Das just smirked at her proposal.

"Madam, you are still underestimating me. I'm not a child to fall for your tricks. So, stop trying to make me your family dog," Das retorted, a smirk playing on his lips.

Bella's next offer was one that she believed would be too tempting to refuse—money.

"State your price. I can even double your economic state."

She thought doubling Das's economic status would be a lucrative proposition. However, Das didn't seem interested in amassing more wealth.

"I already crossed the boundaries of paper notes," he responded cryptically, his smile revealing a depth of knowledge beyond mere financial gain.

"Then what do you need"? Latha asked impatiently as she cut to the chase, asking Das directly what he wanted. His response took them by surprise.

"I think you won't agree to my price," Das stated, a hint of mystery in his voice. "How about you guys drop from this deal? It will save you a great wealth."

"Das, don't beat around the bush. Speak directly. I think you won't know the power and wealth of Farus family." Bella shouted angrily as she leaned closer to look straight at Das face.

"As your wish..."

"The price of Luis, the young master of Aries family is ""ten blood veils filled with blood from Farus family patriarch."""

"How about it? is my request OK for you?" Das asked as smile danced on his lips.
