The early morning sun bathed the grand hall of the Taurus family, ruling over vast territories in Africa, in a warm and golden light. The patriarch of the family, a man of immense influence and authority, sat at the head of a long, polished wooden table. Beside him were the most important members of his family, their faces etched with a mix of anticipation and curiosity.
The atmosphere in the hall was charged with tension as Myra, the patriarch's daughter, took centre stage. She stood before a massive screen, her fingers deftly manipulating a remote control as she presented a series of pictures detailing the Farus family's army camps in India.
Her narration painted a vivid picture of the gains and losses they will encounter while considering an allegiance offer from the Aries family patriarch.
"So, you are saying that we can accept this offer from the Aries family patriarch?" the Taurus family patriarch inquired in a serious and contemplative tone. The proposition hung in the air, and the assembled family members exchanged glances. The offer seemed enticing, and they couldn't discern any immediate drawbacks.
However, in the next moment, Myra unveiled a series of images on the big screen, showcasing a young man with striking red eyes. The room fell into a hushed silence as everyone's attention was drawn to this enigmatic figure.
"Who is he?" the patriarch asked, his gaze fixed on the features of the young man named Das displayed on the screen.
"He is the variable in our deal," Myra replied, her eyes locked onto Das's face without wavering. The room was filled with a sense of mystery, and the family members leaned in, eager to understand the significance of this revelation.
"What do you mean?" one of the family members inquired, expressing the collective confusion of those present.
Myra sighed, realizing the weight of her words. "Who would believe that this one young man on the screen has singlehandedly changed the dynamics of the hidden families? He is the one who trapped Luis for the Farus family. He is also the one who took care of the entire Aries family army in that night."
"Most importantly, we don't know how he did it. Despite utilizing all our resources, I couldn't uncover the details of his actions or how he managed to achieve such feats. Moreover, he doesn't belong to the Farus family; he is an outsider. And yet, the princess of the Farus family directly supported him to the city manager position."
As Myra explained, her voice carried an air of mystique, reflecting the perplexing nature of Das's actions. The family members exchanged bewildered glances, struggling to grasp the full implications of the situation.
"What is his name?" the old patriarch, who had stood silently by the current patriarch's side, inquired in a grave and contemplative tone. His question hung in the air, highlighting the gravity of the situation and the complexity of the decisions that lay ahead.
"MOHAN DAS"
Myra replied with a proud look.
The room was divided, tension palpable, as the Taurus family patriarch contemplated the enigmatic figure of Das displayed on the screen. One of his family members, the person whose rank fell below that of the patriarch, seemed dismissive of the young man's significance.
"He is just one single fellow. I don't think we need to worry about this young brat," he declared, his voice filled with confidence. "Patriarch, call the Aries family head. We will accept his offer. It is a great deal for us." Experience tales at My Virtual Library Empire
But instead of responding to this suggestion, the patriarch turned his gaze toward his father, the wise old patriarch, seeking his counsel and approval.
"Father, what is your decision? I don't think this young man will be a problem for us. Shall I accept the Aries family's offer?" the patriarch inquired, his anticipation evident in his tone.
The old patriarch, however, didn't share the same dismissive view as his son. He sighed with a sense of disappointment, addressing his son's lack of insight. "Hmmhh... what happened to your rationality? Your daughter was able to identify the key person in just one night. But you couldn't even see that?"
Confusion clouded the current patriarch's face. He failed to grasp his father's meaning. "Father, what are you talking about?" he asked, perplexed by the old patriarch's disappointment.
The old man proceeded to ask a series of pointed questions that unveiled the heart of the matter. "Tell me this, where is the main camp of the Farus family in India?"
The patriarch, who had been so confident just moments ago, answered promptly. "Mumbai, the economic capital."
The old patriarch continued to probe. "And who is controlling Mumbai?"
This time, the patriarch's response faltered, and he fell into silence, realizing the gravity of his oversight. It was an outsider, Das, who held dominion over Mumbai, a stronghold for the Farus family. The implications of this fact began to dawn on him.
"Why would they give control to an outsider if he is not that capable?" the old patriarch posed the question that echoed in the patriarch's mind. The weight of his error bore down upon him.
Desperate for guidance, the patriarch questioned his father further, seeking clarity in the face of this revelation. "Old patriarch, then what should we do? Should we fear this young man? Are you suggesting we should forfeit all those benefits just because of one person?"
The person ranking below the patriarch joined the conversation, his tone righteously questioning the old patriarch's caution. He seemed determined to forge ahead, regardless of any concerns.
"That's not what I meant," the old patriarch responded sternly, his wisdom commanding respect.
Eager to discern the path forward, the patriarch implored his father for guidance. "Then, what should we do, Father?"
However, the old patriarch chose to shift his gaze toward Myra, his granddaughter, and deliver his decision. "You are the only rational one in the family. You will take care of this Das guy. Your father can manage the rest."
With that, the old patriarch rose from his seat, signalling the end of the meeting. The room remained heavy with tension and unresolved questions, as the family grappled with the revelation that Das was no ordinary outsider, and the path forward was fraught with uncertainty.
