Brothel Manager : Unexpected Encounter with A Hidden Family Heirloom

Chapter 480: Looming Threat

As the room gate flung open, General Harries Singh and his close subordinates rushed inside the room.

The five guys who were taking care of verification immediately saluted Harries with strict body language. Instead of responding to them, Harries directly reached Das with heartfelt laughter.

"How are you, Mr. Das?" The general asked while shaking hands with Das.

The soldiers eyes went wide open after seeing the casual exchange between the General and young man who they ridiculed till now. They never expected the serious general to speak so jokingly with some one. Especially the moustache guy body shook in worry.

"I'm all good, General. It seems like you got busy counting heads." Das replied in a joking tone.

"What can I do? These hidden families were using all their influence to gather strong people from every corner of the world. The count has already surpassed 11 million." Harries replied with a tired look.

"General, you are forgetting that all strong criminals were also gathering on this island. This war is going to reduce the criminal count for you." Das replied with a smiling face.

"Yeah… I could forget that. At least I have a bit of satisfaction now." Harries said with a relieved sigh.

"Not so early, General. A major threat is still looming over the world. You guys better prepare for it before this war ends. Otherwise, the consequences were going to be severe." Das said it in a serious tone.

"What are you taking about?" Harries asked with a perplexed face, as he didn't understand what Das was talking about.

"I can't tell that here." Das said, eyeing the other members inside the room.

"Understood. Let's go. I will personally drop you off on my air jet." The general replied with a serious face. "Wait… wait… I almost forgot this." Harries hurriedly stopped Das as he turned towards his subordinates.

Understanding his gesture, a subordinate took out a long, two-foot sword, wrapped in a black cloth.

"This is a small present from me. I hope it suits you better." Harries said this while passing the sword to Das.

All the subordinates who knew about the background of that sword were staring with wide, open eyes. Till now, they were only thinking that Major had little connection with Das. But after seeing this gesture, they understood how much respect he had for the young man before him.

Das, holding the sword handle, unwrapped the cloth surrounding its sharp edges. The sword shining in black colour. It is made of hard meteorite metal.

"Not bad…" Das uttered while checking the balance of the sword.

"Not bad…?! Boy, that's the best sword in the world. Do you know the history of that sword? Every top soldier will dream to hold this sword once." The moustached man who ridiculed Das while checking, commented, thinking that he is supporting the general.

Das smirked at his comments and picked up his cursed sword from the guitar box. With a quick motion, he collided both swords with a serious look.

A visible dent formed on the black sword given by General. Harriet's eyes went wide open after seeing this scene. The moustached man stared at the cursed sword in Das's hands with a wide, open mouth. He cursed himself for calling it a rusted sword in the beginning.

"General, shall we go?" Das asked while keeping both swords in the guitar box.

But the general continued to stare at the wooden guitar box in Das's hand. His thought struck when he saw the broken bow in Das's possession. But even after thinking deeply, he didn't remember where he saw that bow.

"General…" Das called out again.

"Yeah…" Harries came out of his daze with a little perplexity. But soon, he adjusted his demeanor. "Let's go," he replied hurriedly, and he turned around to lead the way.

"General, we still didn't stamp him with a serial number?" The guy who recorded Das's details in the thick book spoke hurriedly.

The general turned around with a serious look. With a quick step, he grabbed the page that contained details of Das and his handprint and teared it into pieces.

Outside the checking room, the scar guy and his followers had been waiting for a long time. They did not understand why it took the soldiers so long to check on one single person.

As Das walked away, following the general, the soldiers were staring at him, leaving Das with a surprised face. Because even hidden family members didn't have an exception to stamping their serial numbers on their wrists.

As Das left the room, he was greeted with a bustling atmosphere. More than 10 big transport ships were docked at the port. The fighters who were verified were walking in lines to board the ship.

Everyone has to wait until the ship is full to leave for the island. Observing the things around him, Das followed the general closely. Soon, they reached the big runway, which was recently built for the war jets.

As he boarded the war jet, Harries took off into the sky. After stabilizing the jet in the sky, the general slowed down and turned towards Das.

"Now tell me, Das. What is that you were talking about earlier?" Harries was questioned with a serious look.

With a deep sigh, Das turned his gaze towards the general. "Aren't you worried about hidden families, General?" Das asked in a casual tone.

The general stared at Das for a long time, thinking of what Das meant. "Are you speaking about the remaining hidden families?" Harries asked with a doubtful gaze.

"No… I'm talking about the families who were fighting this war." Das replied without moving his gaze.

"What is there to worry about? The winning side will automatically deal with other hidden families. There is no need for me to soil my hands." Harries replied calmly.

"General, are you forgetting the point that these hidden families hold nuclear weapons?" Das said with a serious look.

"What do you mean?" Harris's eyes went wide as he slowly realized what Das meant. "Wait, damn, how could I miss this?" Harried held his head in a shocked state.

"Yeah… I'm talking about that. The losing family members who were not participating in this war won't sit still. They won't hesitate to blast this entire island and even the enemy's stronghold nations. There might be a mass nuclear attack from the losing side." Das said while staring at the hope island from the skies.
