“Have you had enough?” Seated, Gu Zhihan’s fist had already clenched white, with veins on the back of his hand throbbing continuously. With a “clang,” he walked from his seat to the podium, shielding Luo Mengmeng behind him. The temperature of his dark eyes dropped to freezing, firmly staring at her, “You, as a teacher, abuse your power and even insult students verbally. A person like you doesn’t deserve to be a teacher!”

The youth’s voice was clear and cold, possessing a depth and an aloofness akin to a snowy mountain, unexpected for his age.

“Gu Zhihan, do you even realize what you’re saying!”

The English Teacher, already flushed to the color of liver, was visibly angered. @@novelbin@@

She obviously hadn’t expected a student to call her out so mercilessly in public, especially one she considered a good student.

“Of course, I know,” the young boy’s voice was as calm and detached as ever.

Seeing her face lose dignity, the English Teacher was not willing to give up. Pointing at Luo Mengmeng, she questioned coldly, “How am I not fit to be a teacher? If students don’t perform well, can’t I, as a teacher, discipline them?”

“You can discipline students, but that shouldn’t include physical beatings or verbal insults,” Gu Zhihan responded, his dark eyes glinting coldly, each word ringing with force, “Today’s physical punishment and insults, I will report them all to the school.”

Not a hint of jest could be found on his youthful face; merely a nine-year-old child, yet his composure and wisdom were incomparable even to adults.

The English Teacher had always loved to inflict corporal punishment on students, and until then, he could coldly ignore it. But now that it had touched Mengmeng, it was his final line.

“Don’t try to scare me!” The English Teacher couldn’t help but let out a scoff, folding her arms, “Let me tell you, it won’t matter if you report me to the school, even the Education Bureau won’t do anything – I have relatives there, your complaints will be of no use!”

A primary school student, trying to report her? The thought was laughable!

“We’ll see about that!”

Looking at her arrogant face and listening to her threatening words, not a trace of fear appeared on Gu Zhihan’s face.

She thinks having connections means she can be fearless, right? He refused to believe that in this vast country, there would be no place to seek justice!

Having said that, Gu Zhihan glanced at Luo Mengmeng, her face streaked with tears, “Come with me.”

As he spoke, he took hold of her wrist and led her out of the classroom, ignoring the English Teacher’s furious roars behind him.

“Hubby, where are you taking me?” Mengmeng lifted her red, tearful eyes, sniffing, looking up at the young boy beside her, “Aren’t we going to class anymore?”

“Not anymore,” Gu Zhihan paused slightly, looking down at her hands which the teacher had swollen, his brows furrowing involuntarily, “Let’s go see a doctor first.”

Hands swollen like pig trotters… No telling if there was any damage.

“I’ll listen to Hubby.”

Mengmeng was exceedingly obedient, as if she would unhesitatingly do anything Gu Zhihan said, even if he told her to eat excrement.

There was no infirmary at the school, so they had to go outside. The school gate was guarded, and they needed a leave slip to exit. Therefore, Gu Zhihan first went to the homeroom teacher to get a slip before taking Mengmeng to the hospital his family owned.

Having a hospital in the family was a great advantage; without needing an appointment, Gu Zhihan swaggered into the dean’s office with Mengmeng to find Gu’s father.

When they opened the door, Gu’s father was inside, bent over something he was writing.

“Gu Daddy!” As soon as she entered, Mengmeng sweetly called out.
