Childhood Sweethearts: He's Jealous Again!

Chapter 59: Feed You

Chapter 59: Chapter 59: Feed You

During dinner, Mengmeng’s hands were so swollen that they resembled big buns and she simply couldn’t hold a spoon. So, she glanced at the fragrant meal in front of her, then turned to Gu Zhihan, “Honey, I want to eat.”

Her deer-like clear eyes stared unwaveringly at his cheek.

“Isn’t the food right in front of you?” Gu Zhihan rolled his eyes at her.

“But I can’t hold a spoon!” Mengmeng puffed up her cheeks, looking pitifully at him while shaking her porky hands, softly cooing, “I want you to feed me!”

After Gu Zhihan glanced at her, he looked at his mother sitting at the table, “I don’t want to feed you; you should let my mom feed you.”

“But …” I just want you to feed me!

Mengmeng pouted in dissatisfaction, barely uttering two words before being interrupted by Gu’s mother.

Gu’s mother dramatically blew on her hands, “Oww, how come my hands suddenly feel so numb? Oh, right, I’ve been holding a scalpel all day; how could they not be numb? I don’t have the strength to feed Mengmeng; you might as well do it yourself!”

Mengmeng secretly gave Gu’s mother a thumbs-up, though inwardly she scorned her exaggerated acting skills!

Gu Zhihan couldn’t bear to look at his own mother, so he continued eating with his head down.

Seeing him ignore her, Mengmeng, about to cry but not able to, pouted again and looked at him, “Honey, can you really bear to watch someone as clever and beautiful as me starve to death?”

“Bear to.” As if!

Although Gu Zhihan retorted arrogantly, he stood up from the chair across, walked over to the young girl, sat beside her, picked up the bowl in front of her, and began to feed her with a spoon.

“Let me be clear, if I weren’t worried about you starving to death at our house, and the legal responsibility that would entail, I absolutely wouldn’t feed you!” He still managed to be haughty while bringing the spoon to the little girl’s lips.

“Awww …” Luo Mengmeng didn’t care why he was feeding her; as long as he was doing it, that was good enough.

Meanwhile, Gu’s mother could hardly resist throwing Gu Zhihan a meaningful glance, mentally roaring, my boy, must you be so outwardly reluctant!

Really, couldn’t he just eat a dose of his own medicine to calm down?

After eating, Mengmeng climbed onto her bed and fell into a deep sleep, as if the person who had been punished and beaten by the teacher wasn’t her at all.

Watching the carefree young girl, Gu Zhihan felt both heartbroken and helpless, and he couldn’t help but raise his hand to rub her baby-fat cheeks, “Luo Mengmeng, you fool!”

Just as he had barely started, Gu’s mother gently cracked open the door and peeked in her head. Seeing this, she couldn’t help but smack her lips, “Tsk …”

Who would have thought? The boy is actually such a dark horse, liking to take advantage of people while they sleep!

“You need something?” Gu Zhihan, sensing her misunderstanding, immediately withdrew his hand as if shocked by electricity, his face expressionless, as though the person who had been caressing Mengmeng’s face wasn’t him.

“Of course, I have.” Gu’s mother tiptoed in, and upon seeing Mengmeng in deep sleep, lowered her voice to ask him, “I heard from your dad that you’re planning to expose our English Teacher’s corporal punishment to the media?”

“That’s right.”

Gu Zhihan nodded.

Yes …

He was indeed planning to expose it to the media. He knew well that with his limited influence, he couldn’t bring down a well-backed English Teacher on his own; he needed external help.

Gu’s mother was somewhat stunned; her son was truly resourceful, even knowing to seek help from the media!

“Are you here to persuade me to back down?” Seeing her expression, Gu Zhihan hesitated for a moment.

“How could I!” Gu’s mother immediately shook her head like a rattle-drum. Daring to bully her daughter-in-law was even worse than bullying her son; there was no way she would just let it be.

“I just wanted to tell you that I still know some journalist friends, and I’ll have them come to the scene as well.” Gu’s mother added.

“Good, the more journalists, the better!” Gu Zhihan’s cool voice sounded nothing like that of a nine-year-old boy.

“Also, I have another thing to say …” Gu’s mother seemed to have thought of something else.

“What else is there?”

“What I want to say is, can’t you be a bit more childish and innocent, my boy? You always have such a stern face, looking like someone in their forties, making me often think you’ve been possessed!” Gu’s mother stared at him exasperatedly.

“…”

You should just go back to bed.
