Chronicles of Forgotten Extra

Chapter 82 Crush? Nah.

It had been two days since Alden's Chaos Trial.

He walked towards his class, enjoying a rare moment of peace.

Or at least, he would have—if not for his annoyingly extroverted friend Aziel.

Aziel.

He was going on and on about how much he enjoyed this weekend and how Alden had missed a date with some hot girls.

Alden just pretended that he was listening carefully, nodding his head.

"Bro, I am telling you, those girls were heavenly beauties," he said with a smile.

"But don't worry; they gave me their number. I can fix a date for us next weekend." He nudged Alden.

Alden, however, completely ignored him.

If Amyra had listened to this conversation, Aziel would have vanished from the face of Eryndor without a trace.

But luckily for him, she was currently busy…preparing for something and was not on her stalking Alden duty like usual.

They soon reached their class as they walked towards their regular seats in the back.

There were only a few minutes to the class, so most of the students had arrived.

Except two.

Amyra and Nyx.

Alden could understand Nyx, as she had never been on time.

But Amyra?

She was different.

She always arrived at the exact time when Alden did.

Sometimes, he even wondered if she was waiting for him.

Then, he dismissed the thought.

Why would she wait for him?

He hadn't even interacted with her much.

His gaze calmly scanned the front of the class where the protagonist group was seated.

As always, Lucien was surrounded by beauties and a witch.

Who is the witch?

Well, obviously Seles.

She was sitting beside Lucien, smiling softly. While Aurelia and Cecilia sat on another.

Alden could see Lucien stealing glances at where Zephyr sat.

But Zephyr didn't even care about Lucien anymore.

Why would he?

In his eyes, Lucien was just an idiot weakling with a big mouth.

Despite the beating he got from Zephyr, Lucien's eyes held unyielding determination as he looked at Zephyr.

There was a new addition to the group this time. Surprisingly it was a boy who had ashen hair and ordinary brown eyes.

He was Dain Voss.

A future villain and a very cliché one at that.

He was comic relief in the early arcs, hopelessly crushing on Cecilia since childhood.

But because he didn't have the protagonist's halo, he was rejected by her.

Then, like any predictable background character, he turned rogue, made a deal with demons and tried to kidnap Cecilia.

Lucien swooped in, killed him, and thus began their love story.

Dain did give Lucien a run for his money, though, as he was by no means an easy foe.

How original isn't it?

Alden sighed, resting his chin on his hand.

Just as Alden was thinking about future plots, the door to the classroom opened.

Amyra entered, her gaze scanning the classroom.

Her gaze lingered on Alden for a few moments as if noticing something different about him.

'His height had increased a bit.' She noticed the minute change in him that even he himself didn't notice.

It was due to him going through an inheritance process which made his body attuned to weapon art.

'It seems it has started.' A serious expression appeared on her face before it quickly vanished.

Alden felt the gaze turned in her direction.

But as soon as he looked in her direction, she averted her eyes, walking towards her regular seats on a bench beside Alden's.

__

Alden could swear Amyra was looking at him. Every time he looked at her, he recalled the cringey dialogue he had said to her.

As soon as the memory surfaced, he wanted to kill himself.

Aziel caught his expression and grinned.

"Hmmm, bro," He whispered, "Do you perhaps have a crush on the princess?"

Alden looked at Aziel blankly.

"What the hell are you talking about?" He asked.

Aziel had a teasing smile on his face.

"You see, every time I see you, you are staring at her." His voice was barely above a whisper.

It was so small that even those on the desk beside them couldn't hear it.

But Amyra was different…

Her senses could listen to even the smallest of sounds with ease. And all her senses were currently focused on Alden.

She was waiting for his response.

Her cold heart, which barely felt anything normally, was drumming with anticipation.

A small blush was present on her face.

Meanwhile, Alden was thrown into deep contemplation.

Do I have a crush on Amyra?

I mean, she is beautiful…

But Crush?

Nah, that can't be possible.

How could I have a crush when I don't even know her properly?

I am just curious… yes, that's all.

Just curiosity and nothing else.

Definitely.

Just as he was about to answer Aziel...

Sorin entered the class.

The classroom fell silent.

His steps were measured and calm.

He scanned the class.

Alden slightly turned around, anticipating someone sitting there.

Called it…

He saw Nyx sitting there, true to his suspicion.

He had already gotten used to her appearing all of a sudden.

It's probably teleportation, isn't it?

The more he thought about it, the more he felt Ren and Nyx were connected.

They looked similar.

They both had space-related powers.

Just one small problem…

They were from two different worlds.

Unless Nyx is not actually from this world, this was not possible.

But how could that be?

According to what he had deduced, there was some restriction that kept people from entering Eryndor.

If Nyx was truly from some different world, how did she enter in this world?

It all seemed like a far-fetched theory to him. And it's not like this world didn't have people with space-related powers.

The principal himself was a strong space magic user.

Sorin's voice snapped Alden out of his useless overthinking.

"Everyone," he announced. "Today, we'll have a surprise combat test."

The classroom broke out in murmurs.

"Today's test will be conducted in a virtual combat simulation," Sorin continued.

"The results will count toward your overall grade."

"So, do your best."

Then, without another word, he said.

"Follow me to the virtual reality."
