Nalan’s Eleventh-Rank celebration was held over half a month.
The birth of a new Eleventh-Rank Evolver was a major event for the entirety of Human Civilization, and it naturally warranted great magnificence.
The venue being the Virtual World, there was no extravagance to speak of, only that it lasted a bit long.
For the current evolvers of Human Civilization, having the chance to meet many high-rank evolvers during this celebration was indeed a great gain.
Lin Yuan made an appearance only on the first day of the celebration, and for the most part of the month afterward, he was not seen.
With the Rule of Time on the verge of being penetrated, Lin Yuan naturally had to seize every moment to comprehend it.
“Galaxy Master,” Nalan greeted Lin Yuan as soon as the celebration ended.
“I was indeed too busy before,” Nalan said apologetically.
After his breakthrough to Eleventh Rank, he had mostly been familiarizing himself with his drastically increased power.
The rest of his attention went to dealing with the many changes in identity that came with stepping into the Eleventh Rank.
Had it not been for these constraints, Nalan would have likely found Lin Yuan at the first opportunity to personally express his gratitude.
“Congratulations on stepping into the Eleventh Rank,” Lin Yuan said with a smile.
“Eleventh Rank? For you, Galaxy Master, it’s just a matter of time,” Nalan said nonchalantly.
There were things he could not say in front of others, as the Xia Qin Supreme Being had specially instructed him to keep them secret.
But now, in a private space, Nalan could speak freely.
As a newly-promoted Eleventh Rank Powerhouse, Nalan carried a hint of pride in front of other evolvers.
Even when interacting with those who were formerly his equals, the Grade A Tenth Rankers, he did so from a higher vantage point.
However, he couldn’t muster that pride in front of the Galaxy Master.
Proud of what?
Proud that the Galaxy Master had almost fully comprehended the Rule of Time at the Ninth Rank?
Proud that the Galaxy Master’s understanding of the Rule of Time surpassed that of many Eleventh-Rank Evolvers?
In fact, in front of the Galaxy Master,
Nalan felt a certain pressure.
A pressure that he could be surpassed at any moment.
“At least for the next ten thousand years, you, Galaxy Master, probably won’t reach the Eleventh Rank,” Nalan thought to himself.
“I hope so,” Lin Yuan replied with a smile.
The Eleventh Rank was certainly not difficult for him.
He could step into it just by following the process.
What was truly difficult was reaching the Supreme Being, the Twelfth Rank, the Ultimate Realm.
“Seeing you, Galaxy Master, I feel like I’m seeing the mighty Human Civilization,” Nalan said, his tone tinged with emotion, “It hasn’t been easy for our human civilization to get to where it is now.”
“Indeed, it hasn’t been easy,” Lin Yuan nodded.
Advancing to a university scholar for evolvers, becoming a Grade A Eighth-Rank citizen, many secrets of Human Civilization were unfolded before him.
Even before Lin Yuan had become an Evolver, he knew that Human Civilization had spent just over two million years rising from the Ancestral Star, sweeping through myriad different species, to become one of the most powerful peak clans in the Cosmic Starry Skies.
Initially,
Lin Yuan hadn’t noticed anything odd.
After all, for him at that time, over two million years seemed an exceedingly long period.
But as his power and realm grew, he came to understand the significance behind it.
Over two million years is indeed a long time for ordinary humans or Evolvers of the Second or Third Layer.
But for a high-rank Evolver, it’s not an unreachable amount of time.
An Eighth-Layer Evolver can live for two to three million years, enough to span the entire history of the current Human Starry Sea Era.
As for a Ninth-Rank Evolver, they only live longer.
Tenth-Rank Evolver? Eleventh-Rank Evolver?
Especially the latter, who, after fully understanding the Rule of Time, can easily live for tens, hundreds, or even trillions of years.
In the depths of the starry skies, many of those ‘Ancient Gods’ were born at the dawn of the universe, having lived through incredibly long aeons, yet they remain stuck at Eleventh Rank.
Of course, for a few powerful ‘Ancient Gods,’ being stuck at the Eleventh Rank is not because they can’t attempt the Ultimate.
It’s because they dare not attempt it.
A failed attempt at the Ultimate means complete annihilation.@@novelbin@@
Even a Supreme Being cannot reverse time to resurrect them.
To attempt the Ultimate, one must leap out of the River of Time.
This leap means a complete withdrawal, including the life imprint etched in the Origin Source of the universe.
If the attempt fails, everything will vanish, including that thread of life imprint.
And for a Supreme Being to resurrect a past life, it requires using that life imprint as a ‘Guiding Mark.’
That is why those below the Sixth Rank cannot be resurrected; their life imprints are too weak to form a ‘Guiding Mark.’
An Eleventh-Rank Life attempting the Ultimate must first erase its own Guiding Mark, for only then can it make the Ultimate Leap, trying to step into the realm of the Supreme Being.
…
As his strength grew stronger, Lin Yuan came into contact with and felt more and more.
He also increasingly realized how incredible it was for Human Civilization to have become a peak clan in just over two million years and to have birthed nine Supreme Beings.
Unlike other peak clans such as the Insect Race and the Tianyu Clan, which existed for countless ages,
Human Civilization had just over two million years of history?
And according to explanations within Human Civilization itself, it was a long time ago.
On the Ancestral Star of Human Civilization, an unprecedented adventure occurred.
This adventure allowed the life on the Ancestral Star, which was the nascent form of the future Human Civilization, to undergo a drastic transformation.
Only from the beginning of the Starry Sea Era, with the emergence of the first Supreme Being, did Human Civilization begin to expand outward.
What do you think?
