Chapter 1591 1591: Xuan Gui (3)
As he left behind the Frozen Wastelands together with Xuan Gui, unknowingly avoiding a terrifying demonic cultivator, Xuan Hao casually slipped past the border defense of the Blue Sea Empire and made his way to a deserted location in the Inner Region of the Blue Sea Empire. His current comprehension of the Dao of Space allowing him to enter the Blue Sea Empire together with Xuan Gui without anyone noticing.
"This is… The Blue Sea Empire…?" Asking with a look of shock at her face standing beside him, Xuan Gui could not believe that she had just been in the Frozen Wasteland one minute before suddenly finding herself inside the Blue Sea Empire a few minutes later. The passage through the spatial streams was nothing more than a blur to her, her comprehension of the Dao of Space far too low to even begin to comprehend what had happened.
"Indeed, this is the Blue Sea Empire or more specifically, the Inner Region of the Blue Sea Empire. Away from any cities that might give away our arrival to the Blue Sea Empire." Nodding his head as he said this with a look of understanding in his eyes, Xuan Hao understood what she was feeling at this moment. After all, the distance they had traversed in a few minutes was vast and impossible to cross even for someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm in a short period of time.
"You don't have to worry about being discovered even if you remain here to prepare for your attack on the Blue Sea Empire, they won't be able to detect my entry even if there was someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm stationed at the borders."
"This… Thank you… I will remember this if I manage to survive this…" Her voice barely a whisper, Xuan Gui smiled thankfully before the two of them parted ways, Xuan Gui leaving to figure out how to most efficiently sabotage the Blue Sea Empire from the inside, while Xuan Hao didn't want to spend too much time inside the territory of the Blue Sea Empire. Worried that staying around for too long could result in him being noticed by the Blue Sea Empire.
After all, even if he was confident in not being noticed when he had snuck Xuan Gui into the Blue Sea Empire, he also understood that it was highly likely that the Blue Sea Empire had some kind of way to tell if someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm or above entered their territory.
Even if he himself wasn't in that realm of strength and it was unlikely that he would be detected with his outward strength still being concealed as nothing more than a normal Domain Lord Realm cultivator, he didn't dare take any chances… And to ensure that his presence didn't potentially cause any problems for Xuan Gui, he made sure to move some distance away from where he had left her before once again using the Dao of Space to teleport out of the Blue Sea Empire and back to the Star Shattering Sect.
Luckily for both of them, his worry was for nothing, as the Blue Sea Empire didn't notice his intrusion into their territory, being far too busy dealing with the demonic cultivators at their borders.
Not to say that the Blue Sea Empire wasn't prepared for someone trying to break into their territory, just that they had no way to defend against someone who had comprehended the Dao of Space to the Perfection Realm, or, at the very least, they didn't have any defensive measures in place covering the inner region of their territory.
Ironically enough, they did have someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm keeping an eye on the Star Shattering Sect to ensure that the sect didn't take advantage of their current situation to ambush them, but the locations that Xuan Hao had left were the Shattering Star Peaks and the Frozen Wastelands, two locations that wasn't covered by the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator from the Blue Sea Empire. Ensuring that his quick visit to the Blue Sea Empire to drop Xuan Gui off had gone completely unnoticed.
…
"Finally, it's time…" As she turned back only to see that Xuan Hao had completely disappeared from view, Xuan Gui could not help muttering this to herself as a look of determination appeared on her face.
For years she had been waiting for an opportunity to take revenge on the Blue Sea Empire that had pushed her to become a demonic cultivator in the past and now she finally had that opportunity.
More importantly, with her current strength at the Peak of the Demon Lord Realm and the Blue Sea Empire's stronger cultivators busy dealing with the demonic cultivators trying to break through their borders, she had a real opportunity to do some serious damage to the Blue Sea Empire, as the only people still present in the territory would be limited to those in the Soul Ascension Realm and Earth Immortal Realm (Dao Seed Realm).
The only locations she had to avoid being the borders and the capital city, as she understood that no matter how the war had progressed so far, they wouldn't leave their capital city or borders completely undefended. After all, that would just leave them open to others, taking advantage of their situation and taking down their empire while they were busy fighting off the demonic cultivators.
Even if it was unlikely considering that the threat of the demonic cultivators was something that the conquers would then have to deal with, it wasn't out of the question. Especially considering that taking down the capital city of the Blue Sea Empire would also give one access to the vast resources and treasures that the Blue Sea Empire had accumulated over the years, something that would undoubtedly be tempting to other major powers.
After all, even though the Blue Sea Empire might not be one of the longest established major powers, it was by far one of the strongest and in turn one of the wealthiest major powers on the continent.
What do you think?
