Chapter 1605 Baobao's New Home
As Xuan Hao watched Baobao floating around Mui while making the same bubbly chirping sounds out of excitement, he decided that it would be fine to leave things to his disciple, as the living artifact she had created didn't seem dangerous and only floated around purifying and refining the spiritual qi that it encountered along the way. Overall, increasing the cultivation environment of the area that it passed through.
The only thing that left him a bit uneasy was the cultivation of this living artifact having reached the Early Stage of the Dao Seed Realm. However, as he continued observing it, it seemed like this high cultivation base didn't have anything to do with its high strength but instead had to do with the countless rare materials that had been used in its creation.
In simple terms, it didn't have any fighting capabilities, but was incredibly durable, to the point where even someone in the Dao Seed Realm would struggle to damage it.
Instead of saying that it had reached the Dao Seed Realm, it might be more accurate to say that it was a Pseudo Saint Rank Artifact or potentially even a Saint Rank Artifact. After all, it wasn't a cultivator, but was an artifact, even if it was a living one…
As he thought about this, Xuan Hao could not help glancing towards his little disciple and Song Jia, who were currently in the process of playing around with the newly born living artifact, Baobao.
No matter how he looked at the current situation, he couldn't see any problems arising from allowing the living artifact, Baobao, to roam the Shattered Star Peaks, as it only seemed to be something that only had positive effects given its unique ability to refine spiritual energy.
Whoosh~
And so, with that in mind, Xuan Hao decided to lift the restrictions he had put in place around the area before leaving to inform Elder Song about the situation and ensure that he would inform the rest of the sect about Baobao to prevent them from accidentally attacking.
As for someone trying to steal it away? That was easier said than done, as the artifact was not only under the protection of the chaotic qi formation inside the Shattered Star Peak, but was also an incredibly high rank artifact that was more than capable of ensuring its own safety- or at the very least inform Mui in case something happened through the bond that had been created between the two of them when it had first been born.
Not to mention, stealing away an artifact of his disciple wasn't really something that anyone would be daring enough to do. After all, it was well known throughout the Star Shattering Sect that he had beaten up a Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator from the Blue Sea Empire, something that would make even the bravest of the wandering cultivators who had recently joined the sect does not dare have any such thoughts. Especially so now that they had the opportunity to personally benefit from being part of the Star Shattering Sect.

Especially so now that they had the opportunity to personally benefit from being part of the Star Shattering Sect.
After all, even if some of them might feel confident in being able to steal away the artifact and escape from the sect before being noticed, doing so would essentially make them a traitor and enemy of the Star Shattering Sect, something that even the few Dao Seed Realm cultivators that had joined the Star Shattering Sect feared due to just how mysterious the sect was in their eyes, with the true strength of the sect being completely unknown and hidden away at the Second and Main Star Peaks.
Of course, Pei Yang knew the true strength of the sect wasn't anywhere close to what most people believed, but he had already been fully integrated into the sect and didn't have any thoughts of leaving the sect. Already having fully dedicated himself as the Elder in charge of the Alchemy Hall.
…
"A living artifact capable of purifying and refining spiritual qi… I already half prepared myself for that artifact to blow up part of the sect, but it actually turned out to be something amazing…"
Sitting by himself in his office room, Elder Song looked out at the Qi Spring Lake in distance with a somewhat surprised expression on his face as he went over the information that Xuan Hao had told him a few minutes earlier.
Although he had high expectations for the artifact that Mui had spent the last three years working on together with his beloved granddaughter, he had never imagined that it would actually turn out to be something useful. After all, with her past creations, he had half expected things to turn out like they normally did, with her blowing up a part of the sect.
However, the thing she had created this time around was genuinely something amazing that would be incredibly useful to the future development of the sect, as it would make the Shattered Star Peaks a better cultivation environment. Not only making it easier to cultivate but also causing the Dao to become clearer with the increased quality of the environment.
For now, he had decided to have Mui try and find somewhere on the Seventh Star Peak for the living artifact to live, as that would be the most beneficial for the sect considering it was where the cultivators in the Shattered Star Peaks were most concentrated.
Rustle~
And so, with that, Elder Song decided to go on a rare outing in the middle of the day that didn't involve his work or a sect event. Heading directly for the place where Mui and his granddaughter were playing with the newly born living artifact, Baobao, according to Xuan Hao…
"Grandpa!?" "Eeeek! E-Elder Song! I… I didn't blow up anything this time around!"
Hearing the two rather different responses to his arrival, Elder Song could not help smiling a bit wryly upon seeing that Mui was already about to run away after seeing him.
"Don't worry, I'm not here because you caused any problems. Instead, I'm here to help you with finding a place for your little friend to live."
"R-Really…?"
"Yes."
"Great! Baobao! Let's go look for a place you can… Float around? Hm… I guess you will just be floating around. So somewhere open?"
Seeing that Mui had calmed down and heard her words to the strange floating creature that he assumed to be the living artifact Xuan Hao had mentioned to him, Elder Song quickly went through several locations on the Seventh Star Peak that would be suitable for the living artifact to live around.
From what little he knew about it and had managed to learn through his short observation, it seemed like it just needed somewhere open where it could float around without any interruptions and it would be best if that location was away from the normal disciples and elders of the sect, as they might end up disturbing it under normal circumstances.
With that in mind, Elder Song rapidly went through several potential locations before narrowing it down to a few suitable locations that he quickly ushered Mui and his little granddaughter towards together with the living artifact.
The first location was a large open space that had remained empty and had nothing built on it yet. Only containing a few simple trees and vegetation. In a sense, it could be considered a green space normally used as a place for the elders of the sect to come when relaxing or to cultivate outside of their own quarters.
However, Baobao didn't seem to like the space much and unhappily chirped in its own bubbly language a string of complaints that none of the people present could understand. Forcing Elder Song to give up and move to the next location that was the combat hall or more specifically, the space behind the combat hall that had originally been put aside for future expansion but remained empty for now.
However, similar to the first green space, Baobao didn't like that place either and they soon moved on to the next location that was none other than the Qi Spring Lake at the center of the Seventh Star Peak… And to their surprise, Baobao immediately jumped off Mui's shoulder upon getting close to the Qi Spring Lake before floating over the lake at a speed that left all three of them stunned.
In the end, the three of them were left on the shore to watch as Baobao excitedly divied in and out of the water, absorbing some of the pure spiritual water before refining it even further and allowing the far purer spiritual water to merge back into the Qi Spring Lake.
"Looks like it likes the Qi Spring Lake…"
"Yeah…" "Indeed…"
With such a clear reaction from Baobao, all three of them quickly concluded that the Qi Spring Lake was going to be the future home of Baobao, something that was especially pleasing to Elder Song, as the Qi Spring Lake would inevitably flow out to benefit everyone in the sect.
An improvement to the Qi Spring Lake meant that the entire sect would benefit. Not to mention, it was in a secure location that was rarely accessed by others and under the constant supervision of Zu Fei. Ensuring that it would be safe.
What do you think?
