Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

Moon Aiko was very curious to know if she could find someone else with this new system thingy.

"..." Aiko stared at her system blankly. This duo reminded her of that Darkness that followed her in the beginning and sometimes here and there.

Aiko blinked a few times and looked around. The System didn't react at all, so it seemed like she would have to find someone else to trigger it again.

'Fang Jia already likes me, so I should be able to bring her to my side later and make use of this buff with her. Dual Forging should be a thing, right?' Aiko narrowed her eyes and observed Fang Jia, who blushed slightly.

The retainers saw the strange air between the duo and coughed awkwardly. They wouldn't be able to report this to the Patriarch without being scolded...

"I will go around, so see you later?" Moon Aiko was too curious if she could find more of those Son of Heavens and stuff like that.

Fang Jia felt a tinge of disappointment as Aiko left as soon as she came.

"Do you have to go?" Fang Jia asked slowly, but she soon pursed her lips, when she saw the expressions of her retainers.

"Not really, but I want to find out something." Aiko was vague, since she couldn't really tell the real reason.

"Mmmm..." Fang Jia sighed. It seems like Aiko was not too interested in her.

"We can play later, this is important." Aiko said seriously as she stood up.

"Oh, and she is a spy from outside of your 'Palace'." Aiko pointed at one of Fang Jia's retainers.

"How do you know that?" Fang Jia tilted her head.

Aiko pursed her lips. "Well..." How was she supposed to answer this?!

"I feel bad energy from her." Moon Aiko was pretty bad at this, but at least it was somewhat believable.

"I will investigate it later." Fang Jia nodded. She did spend some time with this Fox, so she believed there was some truth in her words.

"Anyway. I will return a bit later on, I have an investigation on hand." Aiko waved her tail as she shrunk back. She was not as stealthy as Nightmare Fox, but she needed to stay in this form to see where this would lead her.

Nightmare Aiko is easily distracted and would not do her any good if she was in that form...

Aiko sneaked around the place as the activation distance for the notification was quite small.

That was unfortunate, since she needed to be really close to them and that aroused suspicion and posed quite the danger to her.

She did have her Divine Abilities, but they likewise weren't omnipotent.

Aiko carefully scurried around. All the Saintesses were looking at her warmly, which unsettled Aiko, but fortunately, they were not minor characters.

Aiko saw Bai Jing and came close to her to check on her, but even more unsettling things happened.

'What's that supposed to mean?!' Aiko screamed inside her mind.

"What did you do?" Bai Jing turned towards Aiko, like she knew that she would be there.

"Nothing?" Aiko tilted her head innocently.

"You don't have to divine me, I'm not the main character." Bai Jing shook her head.

"Pardon?" Aiko blinked with tightened lips.

"There are things like main characters and side characters. It's decided by fate or what we are trying to divine. We can decide if the character is the main protagonist, someone who gets everything or not." Bai Jing mused on this. "I'm not one of those people. Divinators are very reclusive, since one bad divination can affect their whole life." She explained.

Aiko subconsciously nodded, since she understood her.

"That's why Divinators who are aware like this are not liked by fate." Bai Jing chuckled darkly.

"But you are alive and doing well?" Aiko raised her eyebrow.

"That might be the case for now, but the higher Cultivation I obtain, the worse things will become for me and the more things I will be able to affect by my divinations." Bai Jing sighed.

Aiko nodded again, this made sense, since the more powerful you were, the more damage you could cause. It was natural that Divinators would be able to control different kinds of destruction.

Aiko said goodbyes and walked around. It seemed like her current system would not be able to identify Divinator's fate, so it was best to not try this on everyone.

While Bai Jing was not upset, it felt like she was trying to hint at the fact that other Divinators would not be as kind.

That was fine, Aiko just had to beat a few Sons of Heaven and update her system enough that even Divinators would not be able to detect her!

Aiko scurried towards where the Elders sat. Her main target was the Saintess who fed her or who allowed her to take more fruit.

Aiko saw the glare of the reminding Elders, but there were more Elders who didn't pay attention to her or scolded the others.

Aiko remembered these Elders who sat with her for a few days listening to the story.

She arrived near the Saintess who was conversing with her Master.

Aiko was surprised by this notification. It seems like even the System was unwilling to tell her who she was under.

'It seems like she will be more than just Daughter of Heaven.' Aiko narrowed her eyes and plopped her head next to Li Xiu, observing her.

Li Xiu was a cool beauty with long black hair. Her height was around 180 cm, which was tall compared to her Juniors and Seniors.

Her hair was tied by a beautiful hairpin with a small phoenix carved on it.

Aiko could not remember how she looked previously, but right now her eyebrows were very sharp and she had quite the arrogant air around her.

Her lips were pinkish, which Aiko didn't dislike and her body proportions were like in stories. She pretty much had a perfect figure even with that free-flowing dress.

Her ears were a bit shorter than her peers, and between her eyebrows was a marking of a rising phoenix with spread wings.

Li Xiu's eyes had a strange kindling inside them and Aiko felt an unsettling feeling whenever she was close to her.

Aiko was even more confused when a pair of hands lifted her up and placed her on a lap.

"Curiosity can kill people." The Stoic Master said.

"Let her be, Master. She saved my life." Li Xiu pouted.

"Because you were careless." The Stoic Master rolled her eyes.

"And I wonder who's fault that was." Li Xiu rolled her eyes.

"Don't be a brat, or you will be punished." The Stoic Master glared back.

Aiko observed the strange Master.

She was likewise a cool beauty at around 178cm. Having black hair like Li Xiu, it felt like they were a mother and daughter pair, but her eyes were too cold for that.

Her hair was tied by a sword hairpin which radiated coldness.

Aiko also felt pressure from her which she didn't experience.

As for her body... 'Holy titties.' Aiko's eyes were glued to them, since she never saw anything this big.

Her dress was quite tight, so Aiko didn't need to imagine anything, but she was a bit on the chubbier side.

Her complexion was cold, and her lips were slightly purple, it was a strange sight, but she was still a beauty. In the middle of her eyebrows, there was a strange white-blue egg.

"Foxes are perverts. You should be careful." Master Ah Cy said to her Disciple.

"She is fine~" Li Xiu rolled her eyes. "I believe that she never saw 'that' size." She chuckled as she understood Aiko's emotion right now.

"What do you mean by that, brat?" Fairy Ah Cy glared at her Disciple and the little Fox.

"I wonder~" Li Xiu hummed and sipped tea from her Master.

"Do they come with additional features?" Aiko suddenly spat out.

*PFFT*

Li Xiu likewise spat out, her tea that Master was so kind to provide.

Fairy Ah Cy's body stiffened as she looked at the small Fox. She frowned and tried to scold her, but seeing that overly serious expression... 'Is she really a Fox?'

Normally, Foxes by this point would be drooling over her body and giving suggestive remarks, but this one was a strange one.

"With additional back pain." Fairy Ah Cy didn't really dislike this Fox after this experience, or rather she couldn't.

She had never seen her Disciple choke so much and be in such a sorry state.

"So massages are important." Aiko nodded seriously. She would have to adjust her Massage Chair to recline or make a separate tool for massaging the back.

"I don't get any, since they can't stay close to my body." Fairy Ah Cy sipped her tea.

"What does that supposed to mean?" Aiko tilted her body.

Li Xiu stopped coughing and chimed in. "My Master's body is incredibly cold, so it usually freezes anyone who tries to help her."

"Oho~" Aiko's eyes sparkled and Ah Cy felt uncomfortable. "New Challenge." She smirked, this would be a good idea to research. That way she would be able to create a high-end Massage Chair that would be usable even by those with extreme conditions.

"Wait, how do you know that? Did you touch your Master?" Aiko looked at Li Xiu suspiciously.

"I didn't-" Li Xiu defended herself, but her Master was ruthless.

"She did." Ah Cy said indifferently.

"Oho~" Aiko smirked. "And here I thought you were a pure girl." She smugly observed Li Xiu.

"Nothing happened!" Li Xiu was completely red in the face and Aiko's ears perked.

"What happened?" Aiko alternated her eyes between both of them, seeking answers.

"She peeped when I was bathing." Ah Cy delivered another blow to her Disciple. She was quite amused by how her cold and stoic Disciple was blushing from embarrassment.

"That's not true!" Li Xiu yelped.

"Is that true?" Aiko's eyes shined, there was some juicy story in the air and her hair changed to a black colour. "What happened then? Some private time?" Aiko nudged Li Xiu who was blushing even more.
