Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

Chapter 398 – Aiko’s Might

Mei fixed her clothes before storming outside.

"Fairy- AGH! MY HAIR LET GO OF MY HAIR! NOOOO, MY EARS! MY FLUFFY EARS!"

Aiko blinked towards the doors, it seemed like Mei was going wild, so Aiko patched up her clothing.

Suddenly something jumped on her full of curiosity.

"How was it, how was it?" Yuxi kept pestering Aiko for an answer.

"Feels nice right?" Wanshu smirked at Aiko for her dislike of intimacy.

Aiko's fur changed to black and she tackled both of them.

"Just you wait! I will make the greatest massage tool and make a mess out of you!" Nightmare Aiko pouted before leaving the room.

The Twins gulped as it didn't feel like they got the losing end of the deal.

'What do you think?' Wanshu asked Yuxi.

'Don't ask me, Aiko can be scary.' Yuxi was scared, but also excited about what Aiko might come up with.

'True.' Wanshu nodded and stopped their thought conversation.

...

Aiko walked outside, but it was quite an impressive mess. Pieces of hair and fur lay all around her, the whole room was a mess like two cats were chasing each other, but only one was losing its fur.

The furniture was scratched and destroyed, yet it didn't even take Aiko a minute to get out of the room. What in the world happened?!

Aiko suddenly paused. 'To begin with, how did the Twins manage to get inside?' That was an important part for Aiko. 'Why didn't they join us...' She pouted slightly before walking outside with fixed clothing.

The outside was an even bigger mess. Swords were lying on the ground and more fur was scattered around. There were even patches of blood here and there.

*Boom*

Aiko jumped at that sound with a tremor.

"Surely Mei isn't tearing down this place, right?" Aiko suddenly shivered.

*Boom*

"Surely not..." Aiko's expression changed to a distressed one.

*Boom*

"Gosh, Jade Fox, what are you doing?!" Aiko yelled, but in return, she only got-

*Boom*

Yet, it seemed like Mei had enough and was purging the bastards that interrupted her.

'I wonder what those Elders wanted.' Aiko tilted her head as she walked through the flying ship.

She was not really looking forward to what Mei was doing, so she was taking her time with it.

...

Eventually, she managed to walk outside. There was even more mess around and some kind of messenger was waiting on the sideline shivering from fear.

"What's wrong?" Aiko approached him.

"Are you Vicious Cub?" The messenger sobbed, trying to run away, but he couldn't since there was still a message to deliver.

"Oh, do you have something for me?" Aiko tilted her head.

'Is she really a Vicious Cub? Isn't she a bit too big?' The messenger was confused, but the Energy signature would not lie.

Aiko was still in her adult form, since she didn't bother changing into her small form.

"Please place your hand here to register the delivery." The messenger sobbed. It seemed like another fraud was trying to rob him.

The stone block that Aiko placed her hand on glowed slightly, confirming that she was the recipient.

The messenger's eyes bulged and he alternated between the stone block and the Vicious Cub.

"What?" Aiko tilted her head. Her clothes were a peg smaller, so certain parts of her body were outlined really well.

The messenger coughed awkwardly. "Nothing. Here is the message, and I have already confirmed your authenticity. That will be all, bye!" He gave the Vicious Cubs all the things that she needed before running away. He didn't want to deal with this, especially since a certain scary Fox was walking around pulling out everyone's hair!

Aiko tilted her head as he ran away. 'Is he shy?' She knew that her clothes were slightly smaller, but this overreaction was a bit abnormal.

Aiko took the small Jade and read through it. Her body froze in place, these were not good news.

'Lady Liu passed out...' Aiko sighed. She felt like it was just yesterday that Lady Liu taught her.

'Although she would scold me for how I look now.' Aiko giggled to herself.

Reading more of the message, she raised her eyebrow.

'You tried to keep Lady Liu's Soul so that she wouldn't disappear, but failed miserably? That's obvious, Lady Liu can't be kept that easily...' Aiko nodded to herself, but from the corner of her eyes, she noticed something.

'Eh? Isn't that Lady Liu?' Aiko felt like that Ghost was familiar.

'Lady Liu might visit you, so I beg you to help her however you can. I have failed to subdue the Heavens, but we can't let her go up and suffer for thousands of years!' Aiko sighed. 'So much work to do.' She smacked her lips as her tails smacked the deck.

'Are you Lady Liu?' Aiko mouthed her thoughts to the Ghost.

The Ghost smiled gently.

Aiko was genuinely shocked. Lady Liu was this reserved, graceful lady, yet that Ghost was wearing sexy and glamorous clothing, with phoenix hair pins and other hair accessories. She was the complete opposite of Lady Liu, outside of the attractive face and the way she behaved.

[#### Eyes]

Aiko's [#### Eyes] involuntarily activated, revealing the hidden chains that were strapped all around her body, trying to choke her and pull her towards the sky.

Aiko was puzzled, but her mind was certainly not blank. There was this nagging feeling that if she could break at least one of those chains, it would make her incredibly happy.

The strange thing was that the happiness didn't come from easing Lady Liu's situation, but from the breaking itself.

Good/Evil: ???

Aiko smiled from ear to ear, but it was not her usual smile. There was something nagging in her mind and she didn't really reject it.

Her tails also changed into [Little Nightmares], but their form was likewise different, more sinister.

'Don't try to fight this.' Lady Liu mouthed her thoughts, but Aiko was too excited about those chains...

*Boom*

The place where Aiko shot out from crumbled, like it was devoured by something. Not only that, but the Qi inside the Ink and other instruments completely vanished, as if fearing her presence.

Aiko was a little devil who approached a beautiful princess, yet neither of them was scared.

Lady Liu was shocked more than anything. She didn't expect that one of her pupils would have 'THAT' Origin.

Lady Liu wondered how far Aiko would be able to go, with the whole Immortal World going against her.

'You should live happily.' Lady Liu smiled, feeling the pull of the chains.

'It's been a while since we were able to do this.'

'Tell me about it, it's exciting~!'

'You two should focus, it's been a while since we could inflict damage on the Immortal World.'

'Hold your horses and don't completely destroy the Immortal World, we need our Princess to enjoy it. Only after it's useless to our Princess can we destroy it.'

'But nobody said we can't deal damage to the Heavenly Dao.'

The Tails talked excitedly between each other, sending a shiver down Lady Liu's back. She couldn't believe that 'those' guys were able to escape their confinement. It felt like history was writing in front of her.

[Jaws of ####]

The whole world darkened as immeasurable force descended. Aiko had her Lantern out, so that she could store Lady Liu inside it. As such, the distance was short and only paid 10 million Vitality.

Everyone noticed something wrong with the world as a huge eye appeared up in the sky as if someone called it here.

The [Little Nightmares] rushed at the chains, trying to buy time for the big eye to do something.

Lady Liu no longer felt any pull from those chains, but that didn't mean she was not scared. The eye above her could see through her Essence and Origin, yet it didn't try to harm her.

She gulped nervously as the surrounding space tore open and uncountable rows of white teeth chattered at them.

"Munch Munch!" Aiko pointed towards those chains.

"Munch." She then pointed at Lady Liu and made an extravagant X with her arms.

This made Lady Liu chuckle and thousands of tiny eyes trained on her, making her sweat.

The uncountable rows of teeth immediately bit into the chains.

One would expect that those chains would be nearly indestructible, since they were able to bypass both Immortal World and Mortal World barriers AND violate the basic Laws.

Yet those same chains were just crunchy candies in front of those rows of teeth, they offered no resistance against it.

The severance was quick and painless for Lady Liu, but the same could not be said for the guys on the other side...

Not only did they lose the Great Dao Numinous Treasure and a piece of their Soul, but also their main target.

The Darkness swallowed Lady Liu, and Aiko checked her lamp.

Mei tore the hair from one Fox Elder before moving to another. She would make them all go bald and destroy their Treasures for their transgression!

She was destroying the flying ship by accident, since it took a lot of energy to make the Treasures blow up.

Suddenly the whole place darkened and Mei's body shivered.

Not just her, but everyone could feel the pressure of something that shouldn't exist in the Mortal World.

Mei quickly looked outside. Aiko was in front of Ghost, doing something. Her Tails were even more fiendish than before.

'It's really 'THAT' Origin...' Mei leaned against the wall. It would be impossible to go outside until Aiko calmed them down.

They were the harbingers of destruction and those that swallowed worlds like candies...

The world around Aiko collapsed as Darkness swallowed the both of them.

Mei was not as worried, because she felt that connection with Aiko and it was not severed or changed, so she just had to wait it out.

...

The Darkness subsided and Mei went outside. Just because she had that connection didn't mean her worry was completely gone and she would rather check on Aiko herself.

She approached the deck as Aiko stumbled down. She looked clearly tired, not exhausted. Her form was small, and she was holding a Lantern.

Mei knew about that Lantern, but never really cared about it, since there were more powerful Treasures in the outside World.

She approached Aiko slowly, picking her up gently. Aiko's tails scared her Soul a lot, but this was still Aiko and she would not hurt her, or at least that's what Mei believed.

She transported Aiko to their room as the Darkness slowly subsided. It seemed Aiko got more and more tired over time, so Mei would place her on the bed and let her rest properly before asking questions...
