Chapter 85: Chapter 85 This Divine Skill is Fated for Me!
Golden Cloud Mountain Workshop.
It is one of the several large official workshops opened to the public by the Chi Yuan Immortal Sect.
This workshop backs onto a Spirit Vein of at least a second-tier top-grade and numerous valuable spirit mines have been discovered nearby.
Therefore, the Immortal Sect attached great importance to this place and relied on this Spirit Vein to arrange a multi-layered pseudo third-tier Big Array.
With a Foundation Establishment Great Cultivator stationed there and a Spiritual Artifact activating the Array Eye, even if a Golden Core Great Power were to come, they would only beat a hasty retreat.
When Su Ping, transformed into White Crane Child, arrived at the foothills of Golden Cloud Mountain,
he discovered that several new small towns had been built right at the foot of the mountain.
The towns were primarily made of two or three-story wooden buildings.
The inhabitants were at least Martial Artists dressed in fine clothes, and Loose Cultivators were not uncommon.
When Su Ping arrived at the entrance of a small town and beckoned lightly, a keen-sighted Loose Cultivator came running over, humbly asking what the Immortal Master needed.
Su Ping gave him a Qi Blood Pill, and learned about the changes in Golden Cloud Mountain Workshop from this gatekeeping Loose Cultivator.
Lately, the Immortal Sect Territory had been unsettled, and a Foundation Establishment Great Cultivator of Golden Cloud Mountain Workshop suddenly announced that as long as a certain amount of Spirit Stones were provided every month, non-sect members or retired Cultivators were allowed to build cities at the foot of the mountain with a certain number of their clan members.
Upon hearing this news, some Immortal Cultivation Families arranged for some of their side-branch members to come near this large workshop.
With the word spreading, numerous Loose Cultivators sensing danger decisively gave up being rich landowners in the countryside and brought their families to seek refuge with these Immortal Cultivation Families.
This caused the population of quality people at the foothills’ towns to grow more and more, also gradually taking on a prosperous trend.
These small towns where they resided may not have the protection of Golden Cloud Mountain Workshop,
yet they were also given the verbal promise that in case of emergency, they could be the first to receive the moon’s reflection by the water and enter Golden Cloud Mountain Workshop for refuge.
Then, inside the protection of Golden Cloud Mountain Workshop’s Formation, a number of small cave mansions with varying statuses had been built recently for renting out.
Cultivators and even Loose Cultivators who could afford it were allowed to take their families in for rent, thus enjoying better security under the protection of the Formation.
As demon beasts that slipped through the net began to appear in the Mortal Realm more and more frequently,
business for these cave mansions also flourished.
The Loose Cultivator’s eyes filled with envy and longing when he mentioned this.
He, too, wanted to bring his wife and children to live in a cave mansion.
After Su Ping learned this information, he inwardly sighed that the Manager of Golden Cloud Mountain Workshop was indeed someone who knew how to earn Spirit Stones.
However, judging from what he had seen along the way,
Golden Cloud Mountain Workshop was still relatively peaceful; at least the order around was well maintained.
That Foundation Establishment seemed to be someone who followed rules, which was very important!
There were also no events like the emergence of ancient relics or cities being blood sacrificed stirring things up.
Please with what he learned, Su Ping gave the Loose Cultivator another Qi Blood Pill, and amid the flattery and envious gazes of others, he left the foot of the mountain and headed towards the entrance of the workshop’s Formation.
At the entrance of the Formation was a giant stone gate a hundred meters tall.
The plaque on the gate bore the words “Golden Cloud Mountain Workshop” in Immortal Text.
A light barrier of pale white extended from both sides of the stone gate, encircling the entire mountain,
with fairy mist floating in the sky, appearing unexceptional, yet it blocked all detection, including Divine Sense. Anyone attempting to fly in directly would immediately be attacked by the Formation and meet death without a place to be buried!
“A Cultivator I’ve not seen before?”
“Hmm?”
“He’s a late-stage Qi Cultivation Great Cultivator who specializes in Body and Magic Dual Cultivation!”
The gatekeeping lieutenant, an Outer Sect Disciple who had just reached the Fourth Layer of Qi Cultivation, held a Copper Mirror Magic Artifact and was entrusted with a heavy responsibility.
At first, he was nonchalant; not being able to see Cultivation was not unusual here, as many Cultivators had artifacts to conceal their Cultivation levels.
But upon discovering the true Cultivation level of the Cultivator who appeared to be a white-robed Taoist boy through the Copper Mirror,
this Outer Sect Disciple took a sharp breath and quickly put on a sincere smile as he actively stepped forward to welcome him.
“Taoist name White Crane Taoist?”
“From the Moonlight Listening Wind Temple deep in the West Desert?”
The Outer Sect Disciple personally handled the registration for Su Ping to enter the workshop.
Although he didn’t quite believe that this young Cultivator before him, who clearly was a genius, really came from the West Desert, especially from an insignificant small sect,
after testing the Spiritual Power imprint and confirming that the person before him was not one of those Evil Cultivators or traitors wanted by the sect,
the Outer Sect Disciple chanted a spell and with the Copper Mirror Magic Artifact emitted a beam of blue light onto the wooden tablet.
He then respectfully handed the wooden tablet to Su Ping:
“White Crane Taoist Friend, please keep this safe. This is a temporary pass to enter Golden Cloud Mountain Workshop, valid for 24 two-hour periods. Please leave or extend the time before the hours expire…”
Su Ping promptly thanked him, and after paying the entrance fee, he stepped through the stone gate.
Whoosh!
Upon entering the stone gate, Su Ping was finally able to see the true face of Golden Cloud Mountain Workshop!
Golden Cloud Mountain Workshop, indeed one of the Immortal Sect’s noteworthy large-scale workshops made available to the public!
To call it a workshop didn’t do it justice—it was more like a Mountain City, an Immortal City, built along the mountain’s slope!
In comparison to the layout of Nine Leaf Mountain, this place was no less than a shanty!
Looking towards the mountain’s peak, Su Ping could see an oval-shaped floating platform that covered tens of thousands of square meters, only connected with the buildings on the mountain top by several wooden corridors.
Immortal Boats of various shapes and sizes, from the Central Domain or even further places, docked on the platform.
Every so often, Immortal Boats tens or even hundreds of meters long would rise into the sky, breaking through a golden film before vanishing into the Cloud Sea.
What do you think?
