Cultivation: When you take things to the extreme

Chapter 794 - 499: Secrets_2

Chapter 794: Chapter 499: Secrets_2

“The division of realms isn’t confined to one life, or one realm, some are nearly identical, while others are utterly unique.”

Jun Qing turned his gaze towards Xu Yang, “Taoist, do you know the reason?”

On hearing this, Xu Yang fell silent.

This question had indeed always haunted his mind.

As Zhuang Zhou dreamed of butterflies and traversed the All Heavens Realm, having practiced till now he had traversed many worlds, experienced many things, and accumulated many questions.

Not to mention anything else, just take the Tao Lineage inheritance; so many worlds all bear traces of Daoism, Buddhism, and Confucianism, just to varying degrees.

...

Among these Three Sects Doctrines, some are true, some are false, some are fictional, some are real, like in the mundane Martial World of the Great Zhou Great Tang, it’s purely fictitious Daoism and pseudo-Buddhism. Switch to the World of Dao and Law with Yuan Spirit, and you find true Buddhism and true Taoism, along with legends of Ancient Immortal Gods, Tao Lineage, and relics of Mana Points.

But regardless of true or false, real or imaginary, they all exist and their inheritances are strikingly similar.

In Taoism there must be the Lord of the Three Pure Ones, in Buddhism there must be Shakyamuni, in Confucianism there must be a Saintly Teacher; every world is like this. There might be minor differences in names and titles, but the essence is the same; they change yet remain unchanged.”

So, the question arises,

Where do all these Lord of the Three Pure Ones come from? Where do all these Shakyamuni come from? Where do all these Sages come from?

Are these worlds’ Ancestral Master of the Three Pure Ones, Sakyamuni Tathagata, Saintly Teachers of all times separate beings?

If so, with their great powers, how could they coincidentally use such similar names?

If not, then what exactly are these Daoist and Buddhist, these Three Sects Ancestral Masters, Sakyamuni Tathagata?

Are these worlds actually real or are they fictional?

This sort of question continued to haunt Xu Yang’s mind, and he could not find a definite answer, even leading him to question himself, questioning his own existence, questioning everything he had experienced; whether it was real or fake, could it be just a fabricated illusionary story woven by someone?

These questions remained unanswered.

Xu Yang had speculated before, but without evidence, all speculations were meaningless.

Now…

“In my view, there are only two explanations for this phenomenon that can barely make sense!”

Jun Qing spoke softly, his expression serious, “One is that among the Ten Thousand Realms, there exists a core reality, known as the only true realm. From this core, every realm in the Ten Thousand Realms is a reflection of this realm!”

“In that one true realm, there is Dao, there is Buddha, there is Confucianism, and there is Law, hence in the realms of the Ten Thousand Realms, these elements also exist, similar yet varying, changing yet constant.”

“In the realms of the Ten Thousand Realms, the Lord of the Three Pure Ones, Sakyamuni Tathagata, and Sage and Preceptor, are all manifestations of the Three Pure Ones in that one true realm, the law-body of Shakyamuni, and the thoughts of the Sage; existences that are both real and illusionary.”

Jun Qing looked at Xu Yang, his expression calm, “If so many Daoist, Buddhist, and sacred beings are like this, other beings and things might also be the same, including you and me!”

On hearing this, Xu Yang too was calm, “Although this explanation works, it’s also absurd and hard to justify completely.”

“Indeed!”

Jun Qing nodded, his voice grave, “That’s why the vast majority of Taoists agree with the second theory of the Great Dao.”

“The theory of the Great Dao?”

Xu Yang’s eyes narrowed, “What is this theory?”

“The Great Dao is three thousand, all paths lead to the same destination!”

Jun Qing smiled, “The realms of the All Heavens are real, the Ten Thousand Realms are all factual, and the reason there are so many Lord of the Three Pure Ones and Shakyamuni is because the Dao of Heaven and Earth is fundamentally the same.”

“The Three Pure Ones are Tao, Shakyamuni is Tao, the Sages are Tao!”

“Someone who practices cultivation and comprehends this Tao becomes the Three Pure Ones, becomes Shakyamuni, becomes a Sage!”

“Just as the sky is called sky, and the earth is called earth!”

“The Three Sects Doctrines in the realms of the All Heavens are not projections from some other realm but are the manifestation of the fundamental Dao of the world itself; where there is Dao, there are the Three Pure Ones, where there is Tao, there is Shakyamuni.”

Jun Qing looked at Xu Yang, his expression inscrutable, “Do you understand this explanation, Taoist?”

“Suddenly, it’s clear!”

Xu Yang, too, sighed in response, “Thank you, Taoist, for your guidance!”

This explanation from Jun Qing would be puzzling to others.

But not to Xu Yang, deeply wrought in the practices of Dao and Law.

Thus, he understood it crystal clear, deeply enlightened.

In the World of Dao and Law, the notion of Immortal Gods is tied to the various lineages of Tao. Their secrets are often linked to recollecting or invoking the names of these Immortal Gods, like the mantra “Venerable Lord in haste, obey the decree instantly!”

Yet, this Dao operates even in other worlds.

Why?

Certainly not because other worlds have the same Immortal Gods.

But because there is Dao!

“Venerable Lord in haste, obey the decree instantly” isn’t just about the “Venerable Lord”; it’s about the “Dao” obeying the decree instantly.

It’s not calling upon a god but appealing to the Dao. As long as a world has the presence of “Dao,” these principles and rules, then the Dao techniques can be applied.@@novelbin@@

Thus, everything becomes clear. The reason all realms of the All Heavens have the Three Sects Doctrines, have the Lord of the Three Pure Ones, have Shakyamuni Tathagata, is because these Three Pure Ones, Shakyamuni, fundamentally represent “Dao.”

Just like every world has a sky, has land; as long as there is Dao, there are the Three Pure Ones; as long as there is Buddha, there is Shakyamuni.

They are not projections or incarnations of some supreme being from some world but are individual manifestations of “Dao” from each world, independently existing, merely showing up in the same form.”

Taking Xu Yang himself as an example, if one day he attained the peak of cultivation in Dao Law, even becoming a Golden Immortal, starting his own world, then he too would begin claiming he is one of the Three Pure Ones, he is Shakyamuni, because he has mastered such principles and rules.

To put it plainly, this concept is akin to a “role”; every world, every “company” has such roles, having the same role doesn’t mean the individual is the same too.
