Seeing the two of them come in as new guards froze me in place.

In Mary’s case, when our eyes met, she blushed and waved gently with an expressionless face.

Emily, on the other hand, smiled wickedly with eyes that resembled a predator eyeing its prey when our gazes locked.

‘…Now that I think about it, getting help from the guards would make escaping easier.’

I had naturally assumed that the two of them would enter this place as prisoners, just like Raphne and me.

My thinking was too shortsighted.

Regardless of how well I got along with Diana, if we couldn't escape, nothing else mattered.

If all four of us were prisoners, escaping would be challenging. But if I had Adrian’s power to get two of them on the guard's side, the difficulty would drop significantly.

“Yes, they would like to talk about what happened yesterday with Emily and Mary. Follow me.”

It seemed that with Adrian’s power, they had manipulated their paperwork to make them appear as guards with considerable experience.
