Cursed Villainess’ Obsession

Chapter 119

We were caught off guard by an unexpected ambush, but we managed to complete the mission successfully.

“Is it enough to just make the blade?”

…We were only able to complete half of it.

“There’s a bit of a problem with that….”@@novelbin@@

Thanks to the information we got from Provan the priest, we successfully found the Tears of the Goddess and finished forging the blade of the Demon Sword. However, the problem lay in the fact that we only managed to complete the blade itself.

A sword isn’t functional with just the blade. While a scabbard might not be strictly necessary, a handle is essential to wield the weapon properly.

Initially, when I read the forging manual, I thought that solving the issue with the Tears of the Goddess would make everything else fall into place.

“The weird thing is, every time I attach a handle, it just breaks apart.”

The blade of the Demon Sword, tempered with the Tears of the Goddess, acted as if it had a mind of its own, rejecting any handle like a picky child refusing food. If I forced it, the handle would shatter, as if overturning the dinner table in protest.

‘If I were to just hand this over to Reynesis as it is….’

The blade itself was perfectly forged, meaning it could technically fulfill its purpose as a weapon. Even without a handle, one could theoretically wield it barehanded.
