Chapter 29
Emily stood on the path where she had died over and over again.
Before her lay an open view of grass, with a single tiled path cutting through it.
Soon, that grotesque woman with long hair would appear.
Emily clasped her trembling hands together, holding her ground.
Ken will definitely help me... Ken will definitely help me...
Until now, she had been brutally killed every time, but this time was different.
A reliable ally was watching over her.
With that thought in mind, Emily stood still, waiting for her enemy to arrive.
Meanwhile, two people watched her from the bushes at the edge of the path: Ken Feinstein and Alicia Mason, the event's helper NPC.
“…I feel like a spy. It’s making my heart race.”
“This is really important. If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t be able to save her.”
“I understand. She saved my project from being destroyed, after all. I’ll do my best!”
Next to Ken, Alicia Mason—who was hiding with him—spoke with an air of excitement.
Ken had been surprised earlier when Emily showed up with this girl during his morning training with Siegfried.
“…Ken.”
Emily had approached the training grounds, looking anxious, with Alicia standing beside her.
It was a confusing situation, but it only led to one conclusion.
Emily was caught in a time loop.
It must’ve been my previous self in the last loop who told Emily to bring Alicia here.
Ken quickly pieced the situation together.@@novelbin@@
He had instructed Emily to wait at the academy until the woman appeared, while he took care of Laphne’s nursing and made his preparations.
He modified the bone sword he had crafted earlier, embedding a golden spirit stone into it and adding rune inscriptions.
These runes were part of a tracking spell Ken had learned while repairing Aspetra.
What do you think?
