Death Mage with an SS-Rank Talent

Chapter 30 - 30

Chapter 30: Chapter 30

Similar to how it was after awakening, Aaron woke up, got ready had breakfast and took the packed lunch for later before he set off for the dungeon diving. This was his schedule right after awakening, which was paused for a few days but now resumed.

In a world like this only strength is respected.

His awakened profession is Death Mage, which no one sees as a perspective profession for themselves. They all see that the Death-related professions have no future at all.

All of this was due to the lack of death-related skills.

People have been awakening for a long time and that means there should have been a lot of Death related professionals.

Yes, there were but many died because of the "Death Curse".

When a professional reaches the threshold of a certain rank, a Rank-Up Quest will be issued. Only by completing the quest can someone reach the next rank.

The first rank up is at level 20. After ranking up, one would be Rank-1 and only then can one would be able to reach level 21. If they can't upgrade their rank, no matter what, they can't reach the next level.

These rank-up quests would be easy and common at lower ranks but as they rank up, the quests would become related to their professions and sometimes unique just to the professional.

This is why higher ranks are tough to achieve, especially Rank 7 and above.

From Rank 4, the quests would be related to their professions. It means that Death related professions have to complete death-related quests from Rank-4.

A lot of people died doing those quests.

For Rank-4, not many died as there were deaths among other professionals as well. It was while trying to complete the Rank-7 upgrade quest that most death-related professionals died.

So, many were stuck at Rank-6 or below in these professions. This is the main reason why these professionals are not so popular, not because they lack skills.

Yes, they lack skills that High Ranking powerhouses could create but still, that doesn't make them weak as not many professions have those skills as well.

It was because there are no Rank-7 and higher death-related professionals alive in the world. This is why they are not so popular, but commoners think what they do.

---

Anyway, that was all for the future Aaron to worry about. The only worry that Aaron got was to reach level 20, where he could get the first rank up.

At Rank-0, for every level up, he could only get +5 FSP and +2 SP, but once he can reach Rank-1, that would increase to +10 FSP and +4 SP.

Those increase for every rank up. Levelling up would enable a professional to increase their attributes and also skills. Skill Points are in very high demand for professionals, as a skill ranks up, improving them would be a nightmare for the professionals.

Those Skill Points would reduce those nightmares. So, Skill Points are very much needed by all professionals. It means a rank-up is a must for everyone.

Even though Aaron has 10xSP and 10xFSP, it doesn't mean that he would say no to more.

One should know that, though levelling up is the common way to earn those, this is not the only way to earn those.

There are treasures that can improve attributes. Though they are fixed to a certain attribute and can't be used as FSP, nonetheless, those FSPs are used to improve attributes in the end. These treasures can directly improve an attribute.

This is also a drawback if the professional wanted INT or WIS to be improved but the treasures he found were STR or some other attribute.

Yeah, spellcaster professionals would be interested in improving INT or WIS more than other attributes. It was their entire profession depends on those attributes mainly.

So, FSPs are way better than those treasures as FSPs can be used however they want. Treasures have fixed attributes.

Similarly, Skill Points can be gained by level-ups but there are Skill Upgrade Stones which are useful to upgrade skills. There was an issue though. Skill Upgrade Stones are classified into three levels.

Low-level, Mid-level, and High-level Skill Upgrade Stones.

Low-level stones can improve the skill to a max of Rank-3, while Mid-level stones are required for the skill to reach Rank-4 to Rank-6. For Rank-7 to Rank-9, High-level stones are required.

Low-level stones are okay as they were available a lot. Though they are considered rare by the common people, among the rich and powerful, there are a lot of them circulating.

Mid-level stones though, there are not even a hundred found to this date and one can easily guess about High-level stones, the total number only touched double digits.

So, finding those stones to upgrade skills would be a nightmare for even the rich and powerful ones. They can use those stones to quickly upgrade their skills to Rank-3 but that's where the development would stop.

After that, everyone has to depend on SPs. Even the rich and powerful can't spend money on what they can't find. This makes those SPs very useful for everyone.

Aaron as he has no need to find those stones. He can get as many as many SPs as he wants, as long as he levels up and ranks up.

He doesn't need to worry about anything else in that area.

Though he may lack skills that seniors from death-related professions created, there are still skill scrolls, which would drop from monsters out there.

These skill scrolls, unless specified, would most likely be random skills. Random is not random actually. The skill scroll would give a skill that the professional can use, maybe a common one or actually related to that profession.

So, people thinking that death-related professions are weak as they lack skills was wrong.

The problem was there was no Rank-7 or above among them and as they couldn't grow after Rank-6, the SPs and FSPs that they got would stop.

It means they can't improve their attributes or their skills.
