Chapter 873 - 511: The Blood-Named Spirit King
Chapter 873: Chapter 511: The Blood-Named Spirit King
After all, Logan hadn’t known what Little Flower needed to eat, and during those days, Little Flower must have been hungry for a long time.
No wonder it was insistent on coming out of the space, it turned out to be starving, its eyes red with hunger, finally finding food. If he were that hungry for such a long time, he’d be tempted too, so he could empathize with Little Flower.
Hearing the embarrassed and even guilty voice of Little Flower, he comforted it softly in his heart.
“It’s okay, eat if you’re hungry. The Owner doesn’t blame you, I can wait here for you.”
“Thank you, Owner, you’re very kind.”
The voice from the other end, though childish, was filled with deep emotion.
...
A moment later, Little Flower seemed finally satisfied and immediately jumped back into Logan’s arms, its leaves more spread out, clearly looking very comfortable after eating its fill.
Logan couldn’t help but play with its leaves a bit.
“After expending so much energy before, you were always wilted. Who knew you liked to eat this, now you’ve finally perked up?”
Little Flower shook its petals as if in response to him.
Logan laughed and ultimately put Little Flower back into his space, where Spirit Soil was readily available, perfect for it to rest and digest.
Lexi had been afraid to approach from the beginning, only relaxing and slowly walking over after seeing Little Flower being put away.
Logan chuckled.
“Do you need to be that afraid? Little Flower isn’t going to eat you.”
Lexi couldn’t help but laugh and cry at the same time.
“Who can be sure of that, Young Master Logan? In any case, I really dare not get close to Little Flower anymore. It’s fine just like this, not seeing it is quite okay.”
Logan laughed again, but he didn’t force Lexi to face Little Flower directly.
He understood the other’s fear; if it were him, seeing a plant he had raised capable of devouring humans would not just scare him, but also make him feel uncomfortable.
“All of us have gained not insignificant opportunities, now we might need to find a quiet place to recuperate.”
Whether it was Little Flower, Little White, or themselves.
They had all gained quite a bit here and needed to find a place to properly assimilate their gains.
Maya Leaf nodded in agreement.
“My Beast Pet has eaten quite a lot of good stuff; it looks like it’s going to level up.”
“Me too, following you all, I have also received a lot of good things. Moreover, we’re encountering more and more of the Demon Race as we go. The road has become unsafe. Let’s rest up first.”
Everyone agreed without objection, reaching a consensus, and quickly went to look for a place rich in Spiritual Energy.
They found a Spirit Vein Land, which greatly contributed to their Spiritual Energy enhancement. Thereby, they all sat down, crossed-legged, and began to cultivate slowly.
While Logan was cultivating, he didn’t forget to protect Little White.
Although Little White was still asleep, its spirit seemed to improve day by day, its fur growing smoother and even showing signs of growth.
Seeing this, Logan let go of the worries in his heart and focused on full-fledged protection.
Maya Leaf found a spot and started her own cultivation.
A few days later, to everyone’s surprise, Lexi was the first to bid them farewell.
“Young Master Logan, I have to leave. I’ve received a message from the Demon Race. It’s a unified message; there must be something important. I plan to go back and check it out.”
Logan frowned instinctively.
“Go back? But most of the Demon Race that came out with you are dead, and without finishing the mission, won’t you be punished when you return?”
Lexi laughed.
“It’s okay, I have my ways. Young Master Logan, Miss Leaf, this is where we part. I hope we’ll have the chance to meet again one day.”
After speaking, he gave a formal bow to both of them and turned to leave.
Logan suddenly called him back.
“Wait a moment.”
Lexi turned back, looking at him puzzled.
“What is it? Young Master Logan. Is there something else?”
Logan took out some Elixirs from his chest and placed them in Lexi’s palm.
“I don’t have anything good to give you; take these Elixirs. They are concoctions I made recently, and the herbs are all high-quality ones from the Secret Land. They should be useful to you, and in a crucial moment, they might even save your life.”
Lexi, moved by the valuable Elixirs, wiped away a tear and pushed them back.
“No, Young Master Logan. These are too precious. How can I just casually accept them from you? You should keep them.”
“No, you must take them, Lexi. If you consider me a friend, accept these. It’s also because I’m concerned about you.”
Lexi looked at him, deeply, for a long moment, and finally accepted them.
He placed the items in his space and gave a sincere bow.
“Young Master Logan, your kindness is something I’ll always remember in my heart. Being friends with you all has truly made me happy.”
Maya Leaf stepped forward and patted his shoulder.
“It’s a shame I only have a Beast Pet and nothing impressive to offer. Lexi, then all I can do is wish you a smooth journey.”
“Miss Leaf, you’re being too serious. We truly are friends; there’s no need to count so much between us. I believe, whether now or in the future, your intentions are the most heartfelt. As for the future, I’m full of anticipation. I know I’m maybe not strong enough now, but I will keep striving to become stronger. When I appear before you again, I’ll definitely be a member of the Demon Race who will impress you, and not the companion who might hold you back. I look forward to the day when we meet again, to fighting side by side, facing the challenges of the future. I believe, as long as we work together, no matter what difficulties we face, we will be able to overcome them. Once again, thank you for your companionship and support along the way, and I look forward to our reunion.”
What do you think?
