Chapter 912: Chapter 524: The Sky God Clan_2

Although it seemed that Logan’s words carried a hint of reprimand, his face was adorned with a trace of a smile, as if amused that the server could actually think so.

The server was somewhat dumbfounded; he stood there for a moment as if his brain was rapidly spinning.

“That’s not what I meant, she must be your sister.”

Little White heard this and felt confused by the term ‘sister’.

“What is a sister?”

Before Logan could explain, the server immediately widened his eyes as if he had stumbled upon some juicy gossip.

...

“Could it be that you’re not siblings and you actually…”

Logan hadn’t been taking these words seriously, but the server had been becoming more and more outrageous. If not for Little White at his side—he feared she might pick up bad habits—he wouldn’t have bothered with him.

However, with things having come this far, Logan was starting to get angry. Why couldn’t he understand and insisted on arguing with him?

Logan felt that this matter was becoming endless and slightly furrowed his brow.

“Forget it, don’t mind him. He seems a bit off. Acknowledging him makes us seem like we have issues too.”

Upon hearing this, the server let out a sigh of helplessness, convinced that he was completely right and that Logan was just lashing out in embarrassment after being seen through.

“Esteemed guest, I respect your personal space and choices. If you do not wish to communicate with me, I completely understand and will not insist. However, what disappoints me is not only did you choose silence, but you also attacked me personally. Such behavior lacks the basic courtesy and is unbecoming of your stature. I sincerely hope we can interact in a more civilized and respectful manner.”

Logan was somewhat angry. After all, being made fun of was one thing, but he was concerned that if Little White picked up any bad influences, that would not be good.

“Who is the one attacking whom, calling me her father? I look so young, how could I possibly have such a grown daughter? By that logic, wouldn’t I be a middle-aged man? Good one, server, you’re deliberately setting me up, aren’t you!”

Realizing his mistake belatedly, the server smacked his forehead and showed a bitter smile.

“Guest, don’t be so agitated. I admit my words lacked logic. Please don’t be angry.”

Logan let out a sigh of resignation and didn’t want to continue the nonsensical tussle with the server—it would only get darker.

“Forget it, I won’t discuss this with you any longer. Little White, let’s go. There’s no point in wasting time on meaningless people.”

The server had simply wanted to speak well of Logan to tempt him to stay for a meal, but now it seemed they had strayed further and further from the main point.

Now the server had no choice but to pluck up the courage and speak.

“Guest, it’s mealtime now. Why don’t you eat something before you leave?”

Logan glanced instinctively inside the inn. There were too many people eating; waiting looked like it would last until just when, naturally, he was unwilling to wait.

“Forget it, I won’t wait. The food at your inn is indeed quite good, but the wait is too long. I’ll just grab a bite outside.”

The server felt a sense of helplessness—it had taken so much effort to build up to this point, and yet he still couldn’t keep Logan.

He sighed—it was certainly not easy these days to entice guests to stay for a meal.

Collecting himself, the server continued to attend to the other guests waiting for their meals.

Little White didn’t understand why, but she felt that Logan was somewhat angry. She tilted her head slightly, her delicate little hand gripping Logan’s.

She followed by Logan’s side, behaving obediently and adorably, a stark contrast to the Little White who had been causing all sorts of trouble in the room earlier.

Logan gazed at Little White’s delicate features and subconsciously pinched her face.

“Little White, you really are too cute.”

Little White didn’t like him pinching her face, as it made her seem too easy to bully.

“Could you be gentler! Every time you pinch my face, it stays tomato-red for such a long time.”

Little White complained puffily. Although she said this, she hadn’t realized that Logan’s touch was actually very gentle, and her flushed face was purely out of embarrassment.

After coming to his senses, Logan was a bit flustered, thinking it must be because of his martial training that made him a bit heavy-handed.

Little White, being so delicate, naturally couldn’t withstand his pinching.

So, Logan let go and patted her head.

“Alright, I won’t pinch anymore. Don’t be mad, okay? I’ll take you out for a walk. You’ve been wanting to see the outside for a while, haven’t you?”

The market outside bustled and buzzed with noise, the shouts of the vendors continually rising and falling like colorful musical notes leaping through the air. Little White walked among them like a curious kitten, deeply captivated by various pretty and cute trinkets. Her gaze lingered over the stalls, where the crystal-clear, glittering jewelry shone like stars, making it hard for her to look away.

Each time Little White stopped at a stall, she would gaze longingly at the jewelry, seemingly enthralled by their captivating charm. Her eyes twinkled with excitement and curiosity, almost as if expressing her endless affection for these beautiful small objects.

By her side, Logan looked on with a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. He understood a girl’s fondness for shiny jewelry and stood quietly beside Little White, watching her immerse herself in this dazzling world, feeling a warmth and satisfaction in his heart.

“Do you like it? I can buy it for you, don’t be shy. Whatever you want, we can get it.”
