“No more why! I said I’m not doing it!” said Beiming Han, calmly putting his phone away.

Huangfu Ye watched his brother’s sullen antics with stifled laughter. It was clear that he was eager to do so, but he was acting nonchalant.

In the afternoon, Gu Qingxin received another call from Ye Yingsu, inviting her to the same amusement park they had visited before.

Gu Qingxin held the phone hesitantly for a long time. She was quite reluctant to see Ye Yingsu. She was afraid that Ye Yingsu would say those words again, and even more afraid to face Xiao Yi’s innocent eyes.

Doing so would stir profound guilt within her, as if it were her fault that Ye Yingsu couldn’t marry Beiming Han, and that Xiao Yi couldn’t have a complete family.

Eventually, Gu Qingxin decided to accept the invitation. Some things could not be avoided simply because she did not wish to face them, there must be an end to everything!

Her foot injury was almost healed. As she was going to play with Xiao Yi, Gu Qingxin purposely went back to her room and picked an outfit, a cherry blossom-pink tracksuit, paired with white canvas shoes, and a cute pink bag, in which she packed everything she needed. Clad in this attire, she left the house.

By the time she reached the amusement park, Ye Yingsu and Xiao Yi were already waiting for her. On seeing her, Xiao Yi quickly ran towards her. Gu Qingxin squatted down to catch him and asked, “Xiao Yi… It’s been a while, haven’t you missed me?”

Xiao Yi grinned and nodded vigorously.

Gu Qingxin touched his head, her heart aching even more. If Xiao Yi was a normal child, perhaps she wouldn’t feel this pained. Unfairly though, he couldn’t even speak.

How could she not be heartbroken?

Ye Yingsu looked at Gu Qingxin, dressed head to toe in pink, with disgust, and said two words, “Childish!”

Gu Qingxin looked down at her outfit and felt it was quite good. How was it childish?

With last time’s experience, Ye Yingsu directly followed the two into the children’s play area. The three of them had a lot of fun, and even Ye Yingsu had a rare smile on her face.

When Xiao Yi wanted to use the bathroom, Ye Yingsu went with him. Gu Qingxin, feeling tired, wiped away her sweat, went to the rest area for a sip of water, and decided to take a break.

Five minutes later, there was still no sign of Xiao Yi and Ye Yingsu. Gu Qingxin needed to use the bathroom as well, so she rose and proceeded towards it.

As soon as she entered, she saw many people sprawled across the floor – both adults and children.

Gu Qingxin was startled, her first instinct was to find Ye Yingsu and Xiao Yi. “Miss Ye, Xiao Yi, where are you?”

She pushed open the door to the ladies’ restroom, but it was locked from the inside!

She swiftly turned to leave, hoping to find help and tell Beiming Han about the situation.

However, it was clearly too late!

The restroom door was opened. Gu Qingxin felt her bag being grabbed. She was forcefully pulled into the restroom, the thud of the door closing echoed ominously, before her were a pair of ruthless black eyes.

She wanted to scream for help, but the stranger waved a hand and Gu Qingxin slumped down unconscious.

“Take her too!” The man was wearing a black hooded cloak, a mask covering his face, leaving only a pair of eyes gleaming with pale blue light visible.

“Yes!” Another man immediately picked up Gu Qingxin and left through a window.

Beiming Han, who was currently in Bai Jingqing’s office, suddenly felt an inexplicable tightness in his chest. He couldn’t help frowning and placing his hand over his heart.
