Chapter 259 More Merits.
Command didn't want that to happen. They didn't want a massive confrontation so soon. They wanted to destroy the power of the elves little by little and stall for more time.
They made their wishes known in the messages they sent to every soldier. At that time, Kelvin was neck deep in fighting.
He wasn't just massacring bugs anymore. He actually had to fight for his kills now.
The enemies he fought with first were the trapper spiders. They attacked him with their webs from a safe distance.
While Life Core worked on them, its effect was finished because they didn't have any wounds that he could take advantage of. The ability was far from lethal to them, so he could only passively dodge their webs or cut them.@@novelbin@@
The webs were actually very powerful means of attack. They were like bullets with enough power to penetrate his force field easily. It was as if his force field wasn't there.

Fortunately, he still had Juggernaut's Armament, but his red translucent armor couldn't protect him from being snarled by the webs. He had to cut them off quickly or be dragged away.
He didn't want to be in a compromised state while fighting the war beetles. So he always tried to dodge them or cut them.
This turned out to be the most difficult thing to deal with about the attack because as long as he could move his blade arms, the war beetles and the termites behind them couldn't overwhelm him.
He was small, and they were big. Actually, they were very big. Each insect was at least three stories tall. Their legs alone were bigger than him. But their size was both their strength and their weakness.
A large area of space had been cleared around him in the insect swarm, so they weren't touching him or blocking his sight. But the droning, gnawing of their mouths and buzzing of their wings saturated the air with noise and prevented him from hearing anything else.
Still, his eyes could be used, and that was good. Especially his infrared vision and Extraordinary Perception ability. They let him see insects that would put elephants to shame, rushing towards him in an attempt to run him over and stump me.
He couldn't focus on the war beetle too much because of the white web slingshot in his direction. He had to move about constantly to dodge while also sparing the war beetle his attention.
It was until the war beetle was right in front of him that he could focus on it. The massive size disparity meant that with the war beetle in front of him, he didn't need to worry about the web slings or any other colossal insect.
He was just too small for more than one colossal insect to fight effectively at a time. That was his advantage and to be their undoing.
Because of his small size, he was able to dodge the large horn of the war beetle easily and roll between its legs. Then he shifted his arm into a diamond blade and cut every tiny leg within reach of his arm.
He could extend his arm to become longer than normal, so every leg on his right became within his reach simply because he wanted to reach them.
The war beetle losing half of its walking appendages and the losses being on the same side meant that it couldn't stand anymore. It slumped to the ground and fell right on top of Kelvin.
Kelvin had 360-degree vision, so he was always aware of everything going on around him and could prepare for the fall of giant insects.
He lengthened his two blade arms and brought them together as if he were praying. Then he waited for the colossal creature to fall on him.
As soon as the insect impaled itself on his arm, he swung his arm forward and cut open the abdomen of the insect. This created a large opening on its abdomen that Kelvin rushed into.
Wrath complained as hot and wet insect flesh enveloped them, "Eww, I've got smelly bug innards all over me."
He couldn't speak or risk having the disgusting innards enter his mouth. But he did roll his eyes at her for complaining about a problem that doesn't exist for her.
She was a shadow form that couldn't interact with the physical world, so the innards all passed through her. So he rolled his eyes at her.
She said, "Hey, I saw that."
He didn't reply and focused on cutting his way out.
The giant insect chittered painfully as a large wound was cut into its body. It couldn't move, so it could only writhe on the ground even more when an object the size of an adult man entered its body.
It didn't stop writhing when Kelvin dug through its insides and came out by its sides. It had immense life force and would have continued writhing for a week, but Life Core took a strong hold of its life force and wrung it out of its body by force.
It caused its movements to slow down until it couldn't move at all. Then it finally died.
Its death took 30 seconds from the moment Kelvin came out of his sides from inside of it. During that time, he rushed towards the war beetle beside him and engaged it.
The war beetle was ramming into the force field, creating loud noises of collision and causing it to shake. It noticed him as soon as he came out of its breathen and swung its horn to cut him in half.
He already sensed the danger before the blue horn swung towards him. But he didn't bother to deal with the horn. He just cut open the side of the war beetle by swinging his two blade arms and entered through the gap he created.
He passed through the body of the war battle and continued to attack the third one. The third one swung his appendages at him, but he cut them off and was able to finally gain access to its sides.
What do you think?
