Chapter 301 Another Hunt.

The ability is not wasted on her as she used it well against him, but he is sure that he vna use it better than her. It is a conjecture that he can verify.

He can already see just how strong he would become with such her ability. He believes that it will be as impactful as the Speed Force ability, if only for the ability to fly that it will grant him.

Unfortunately, he had to give up on the hunt when he saw they were calling for more reinforcements before going to the wilds.

He instructed Glory-4 to kill the tracker while he switched places with Glory-1 and Glory-2 to appear beside the unconscious Reflex.

Then he absorbed Reflex's ability and destroyed his body. When he was done with that, he destroyed the shadows and recreated them.

The tracker was already dying thanks to losing a large amount of life force. It was a slow death since he didn't have any injury on his body.

They were very familiar with the Count and the way he killed people, but they still didn't understand why their tracker had become weak all of a sudden and was having difficulty walking.

It was because the attack of the life siphon was hidden. Its effect could be mistaken for anything.

Even if they knew that the weakening was the effect of life siphon, they still wouldn't be able to save the man. The best they would have been able to do is delay his demise.

The tracker had already lost their trail after he destroyed Reflex's body with lightning and took back his shadows. But killing the tracker meant that he wouldn't be able to threaten them again.

Glory-4 continued to keep watch on them while he assessed Reflex's ability.

He said to Reflex's ghost, "Wherever you are, I misjudged you."

Reflex's ability is called Spatial Anchor. It was already impressive when he thought it could only create anchors that he could use to return to places he had been in the past. But Reflex had developed it in the two months that he was away.

The spatial anchors can also be created on objects, not just fixed positions. This has increased its potential massively. Not only can it be used to retreat, but it can even be used to attack.

He tested it by putting an anchor on a rock. Then he threw the rock into the sky with all his might. There was a loud sonic boom as the rock crossed the sound barrier.

When the rock reached its apex, his figure disappeared as he teleported to it. He left the ground entirely and appeared high up in the sky.

When he appeared, he was holding onto the rock the way he had held onto it when he placed the spatial anchor on it. The difference was that he was no longer on the ground.

His appearance caused the rock to stop moving and begin dropping to the ground. He was also dropping with it.

But then he threw the rock into the sky again. It created another sonic boom as its speed surpassed the speed of sound.

The rock climbed higher into the sky. So when he reappeared holding it, his position had also become higher.

He repeated this action again and again, trying to see if he could leave the planet with it. He kept throwing the stone higher and higher.

Unfortunately, he never left the planet. He only crossed a large distance across the surface of the planet. The stone wasn't fast enough to leave Earth's gravity, so he couldn't leave it either.

He said to himself as he began to plummet to the earth, "This is not bad at all. Who says only those with telekinesis can fly?"

When he saw the ground becoming larger and larger as it rushed up to meet him, he decided to be honest with himself.

He said, "I have to admit that those with telekinesis can control their fall better than me."

But he was not without a solution. He could throw the stone and teleport to it when it is about to reach the ground.

But he gave up on that idea because changing his position won't kill his momentum. The reduced distance won't rob him of the speed that he is already moving with. So he will still hit the ground heavily.

Besides, it will be very difficult for him to tell when the stone is close to the ground. Fortunately, he had other ideas.

He could have one of his shadows replace him, or he could visualize the tower of destiny in his mind to return to the core of the world. He chose to use Reflex ability to return to where he was on the ground when he first threw the stone.

When he did, he found someone there waiting for him. It was an old man with white hair.

The man was standing right beside the spatial anchor that he had created, so he appeared right in front of the man, looking at him in the eye.

The old man said, "I found you on my first try. It seems I am in luck."

He was frowning and obviously angry when he said that. He didn't sound happy to find Kelvin.

The presence of the old man had shocked him. But then he heard what the man said, and he became spooked.

He punched out at the same time the man activated his ability. Someone came out of the old man's body and grabbed his fist.

There was a large boom as his punch was blocked. He felt some pain in his hand, but that didn't stop him from punching out with his other hand.

This time, his hand had turned into a diamond blade. He pierced it into the arm of the person blocking his punch.

The person punched his diamond arm without fear. Their punch shattered his diamond blade and his shoulder. Then they crushed his fist in their hand.

He had seen the danger before it happened, but he couldn't avoid the destruction of his arm and shoulder because the person was faster and stronger than him.

But things got worse from there. More powerful people came out from the old man's body. It was as if his body was a portal.

Every person that came out of his body was different, but all of them were at least the X rank. The color on their bodies that Extraordinary Perception could see was close to black. It meant each of them was fatally dangerous to him.

He already knew the identity of the man after he saw this. He had seen the man fight many times, and he could sense that those people coming out of the old man's body were not living things. So his suspicions were confirmed, and he knew what he should do next.

His figure became dark as a shadow replaced him. Then the shadow died immediately.

He didn't let the shadow resist for him because he didn't risk Icon getting it and turning it into a puppet.

He retreated completely and thoroughly. There was just no way he was going to fight the killer of champions and the first demigod of Earth-12 with power at the A-rank. That was just asking for death.

One of the puppets looked around where he was. It had a large eye like that of a cyclops. Its single eye created a light that it used to sweep where Kelvin was. But it didn't see anything.

Icon was surprised by this. He asked himself, "If he is not hiding, then where did he go?"

"Can he even hide? He didn't have this ability before? Could it be that he gained new abilities?"

He was solemn as he considered the possibility.

He frowned and said, "This is why he is so terrifying. Heck, it is why I was so terrifying. We are capable of so much growth in so little time."

He thought he knew everything about Kelvin, but it turned out that he didn't. This caused his hunt to fail.

He knew that Kelvin could sense danger, including the intent to attack him, so he used one of his puppets to hide and stayed away from Kelvin.

He also knew that Kelvin planned to get Reflex's ability, so he went to stalk the boy. He watched as Kelvin's shadows kidnapped the boy and followed it with his puppet that was a speedster.

He had been waiting here for Kelvin before he swapped with his shadow. He didn't expect that at all.

That's when things first went wrong. He expected Kelvin to come over from the city and planned to ambush him. But Kelvin just suddenly appeared here.

He changed his plan from ambushing to surrounding the location and setting up a barricade so that Kelvin wouldn't be able to escape.

He didn't think he had anything to worry about with Reflex's ability since Kelvin wouldn't be able to use it to leave the barricade he was forming.
