Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 166 An Opportunity

Aelric took a slow step back, his smile unwavering. "If you've heard of me before coming to this temple, then you should know my class—Royal Armory."

He shrugged, as if it were nothing special. "Its function is simple… to store weapons."

As he spoke, the space behind him shimmered, and ten weapons slowly emerged from the void—swords, spears, axes, halberds, and more. Their edges gleamed under the temple's light, humming with restrained power.

"And, of course," Aelric continued, his golden eyes locking onto Max, "I can summon them at will."

Max watched as the weapons floated behind Aelric, nodding in understanding. "So, a walking arsenal, huh? Not bad."

Aelric's grin widened. "Not bad? Then allow me to demonstrate."

The air around him trembled. The number of weapons multiplied—ten became a hundred, a hundred became a thousand, and within seconds, the entire stage was filled with an overwhelming presence. Ten thousand weapons hovered in the air, each one sharp, deadly, and ready to strike.

Aelric extended his hand, a golden longsword materializing in his grip. "It's a fitting class for someone who doesn't have much interest in battle."

Max's eyes narrowed as he watched the weapons materialize one after another, their metallic gleam reflecting the temple's dim light.

Ten.

A hundred.

A thousand.

Ten thousand.

The sheer number was overwhelming, covering the space around Aelric like a sea of floating blades. Each weapon vibrated faintly, as if itching for battle.

Max exhaled, his fingers instinctively tightening. This was no ordinary opponent.

Aelric's calm smile never wavered.

"Impressive, isn't it?" he asked, his voice carrying an air of supreme confidence. "I can summon an armory beyond count, each weapon imbued with power fitting for royalty."

He added with a shrug, "Moreover, since I am the Crown Prince of the West, I have no shortage of such weapons around me."

He took another step forward, the weapons shifting in unison with his movement.

"Now, shall we begin?"

Without waiting for an answer, Aelric lifted a single finger—

Whoosh!

A hundred swords shot forward like streaks of silver lightning, their razor edges gleaming with lethal intent as they tore through the air toward Max.

The battle had begun.

Max reacted instantly. His figure blurred, vanishing and reappearing as he weaved between the incoming blades with terrifying speed. His three movement techniques layered together, turning him into a ghostly mirage, untouchable yet ever-present.

Bang! Bang! Bang!...

Each sword that missed him crashed into the stage, shattering the thick stone tiles beneath. Dust and debris exploded into the air, filling the battlefield with the echoes of destruction. But Max was already gone, slipping past the relentless storm of blades, his eyes locked onto Aelric.

"There is nowhere for you to run!" Aelric declared, his voice carrying a confident edge as he commanded another barrage of weapons to rain down upon Max.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

Blades, spears, axes, halberds—hundreds of weapons surged toward him like a storm of steel, filling every possible escape route. Their sharp edges whistled through the air, gleaming with deadly precision.

Max's eyes narrowed. He understood dodging wouldn't cut it out here. He had to put up a fight if he wanted to stand a chance against all these weapons.

Using his Magic Sword Barrage, Max conjured a hundred blue glowing swords of his own. A moment later, he sent them flying toward the army of weapons coming down at him.

Clang! Clang! Clang!...

A deafening symphony of steel against steel echoed through the Battle Realm. Max's swords met Aelric's weapons in midair, each impact sending bursts of sparks and ripples of energy outward.

Boom!

Shockwaves spread with every collision, shaking the ground beneath them. The sky above was filled with a dazzling dance of flashing blades, neither side giving way. Blue swords shattered but they repelled the other weapons, spears bent, and axes spun wildly before crashing into the ground, breaking the tiles beneath them.

For a moment, Max's blue glowing swords blocked all the weapons coming at him, but he understood that it couldn't defend him for long.

His hundred blue glowing swords were like a drop of water in the vast ocean in front of Aelric's army of weapons. They simply couldn't be compared at all.

And just like what Max had expected, it happened.

His hundred blue glowing swords were overwhelmed by a thousand weapons, outnumbered and destroyed after being continuously attacked by so many weapons.

In the end, Max found himself surrounded by an army of weapons, gleaming at him as if they were waiting for a moment to devour him whole.

"What's your next move, Max?" Aelric asked, standing casually. "Will it be that attack you used against Arthur? Or will it be that mysterious aura that rivaled a level 3 aura despite being only level 2?"

Max glanced at him, feeling a bit speechless. 'He has indeed observed me closely, so I take it he would have a counter for every attack I've already used in the Battle Realm,' he mused, recalling how easily his hundred blue glowing swords were handled.

Max glanced at the army of weapons surrounding him and wondered something. He recalled that even though his hundred blue glowing swords were stronger and sharper than all the weapons surrounding him, they failed to even destroy one of these weapons.

This begged a question. Were the ranks of these weapons so high that they were simply indestructible, which was unlikely? Then the matter came to the materials used to form these weapons.

As Max contemplated all this, he turned to Aelric. "My swords were stronger, but they failed to even destroy one of your swords... I wonder what the reason is?" he asked curiously, not expecting an answer, just testing.

"Oh, that?" Aelric smiled embarrassedly. "My Royal Father used Chaos Stones to make these swords. You should know, despite being the King of the West, he is one fine blacksmith—probably the best in the entire Valora Continent." He said the last part proudly.

Adding, he continued, "So, he added a Chaos Stone to each of these ten thousand weapons to make their durability a notch above other weapons, despite being uncommon and rare rank weapons."

"Oh," Max nodded in understanding. "I see." But inside, he was bubbling with intense excitement. The very thought of hundreds of thousands of weapons before him containing Chaos Stones awakened the desire within him to devour all the swords.@@novelbin@@

It wasn't every day that he would get a chance like this... A chance that could increase his defense to an unimaginable level.
