Chapter 181 Unbelievable Strength
With absolute precision, Max swung his sword just as the creature reappeared before him—
But—
BANG!
A blackened fist collided directly with his sword, stopping it dead in its tracks.
Max's eyes widened.
The force behind the strike was inhuman—like he had just slammed his blade against an indestructible wall.
A violent shockwave exploded from the impact, sending a sharp jolt of pain tearing through Max's wrists and arms, his bones screaming from the sheer force.
'What—?'
Before he could recover, an overwhelming gust of wind blasted against him—
Then—
BOOM!
Max was launched backward like a missile fired from a cannon.
His body skidded violently across the stage, tearing through the shattered tiles, each impact rattling his bones, the friction scorching through his defenses.
His vision blurred from the sudden force—
Yet, even as he tumbled across the battlefield, Max's mind remained razor-sharp. Continue reading at My Virtual Library Empire
'What the hell was that power?!'
For the first time in this battle realm—
Max had been completely overpowered.
'This is so painful!'
He clenched his fists, his fingers tightening around his sword hilt as he tried to suppress the numbing pain coursing through his arms.
That attack—
It was dangerous.
Even with the protection of his 300 Dragon Scales, he had still felt the shock reverberating through his bones. The sheer impact had nearly made him lose his grip on his weapon.
And he was sure of one thing—
If it had been anyone else, their arms would have been completely shattered.
At the very least, they would have been left crippled, unable to fight.
That was how powerful the creature's attack had been.
Yet, something didn't add up.
Max's eyes narrowed as he studied the black-masked being before him.
The aura it was releasing was only at Level 10 Adept Rank.
But then—why did it feel so much stronger?
Why did it feel like he was facing something beyond that level?
'This isn't normal.'
His instincts screamed at him—this wasn't just raw strength.
He noticed another thing.
Another chilling aura seeped from the creature, separate from its Adept Rank energy.
And it was leaking out.
'This energy... it's like mana but not at the same time.'
He couldn't understand what was wrong with the energy the creature was overflowing with aside from the fact that it was kind of chilling and gave off a very eerie aura.
Max gritted his teeth noticing all that.
'I need to be careful. This thing… it's not fighting like an Adept Rank at all.'
"You survived that? Interesting."
The creature's voice echoed unnaturally across the battlefield—cold, emotionless, yet filled with something unnerving.
It had no mouth.
No lips to shape words.
And yet, the voice existed.
"I never thought humans were this durable."
Max remained silent.
His Three Dimensional Body was pushed to its absolute limit, his senses stretching in every direction, catching even the smallest disturbances in space.
Every breath the creature took.
Every shift in its eerie, pulsating aura.
Every unnatural flicker of movement—Max caught it all.
But he didn't react.
Instead, he simply watched. Waited. Calculated.
With all his agility skills active.
The creature studied him back, its glowing white ring staring into him—deeply, as if looking beyond his body, beyond his power… beyond his very soul.
Then—
"Or maybe…"
The creature's voice dropped slightly, its tone unreadable.
"You are an exception."
A slow, creeping tension filled the stage.
As if something far worse was about to happen.
Max's eyes focused entirely on him but then he vanished.
His pupils contracted sharply—a sudden rush of danger screaming in his mind.
The creature had vanished.
Not just moved fast—it had completely disappeared from his perception.
Even before his Three Dimensional Body could track it, a devastating punch landed squarely in his gut.
"Fuhh—!"
A mouthful of blood erupted from Max's lips, his body hurled through the stage like a meteor, smashing through the air with terrifying speed.
The pain was unreal.
It wasn't just raw power—it felt like something had pierced deep inside him, shaking even his Dragon Scales' defense.
But even through the agony, his mind was spinning, struggling to process what just happened.
'How is he this strong?!'
Before he could even stabilize himself—
"Hehe, you are indeed an exception!"
The creature's sinister laugh echoed from above.
Max barely had time to lift his gaze before he saw it—
The creature was already midair.
It hovered right above him, its claw-like fists clenched, preparing to strike while Max was still airborne and vulnerable.
He hadn't even stabilized from the previous attack.
His body was still gliding uncontrollably through the air, the force of the creature's punch sending him hurtling like a ragdoll caught in a hurricane.
His bones ached. His muscles screamed. His vision blurred.
But there was no time to recover.@@novelbin@@
No time to breathe.
Because—
The creature wasn't done.
"How about some more?"
The creature grinned, its black fist surging downward—aiming straight for Max's heart.
Max's eyes widened.
'Damn it!'
No time to dodge. No time to move
Instinct took over.
His Abyssal Coating skill activated in an instant—black energy surged from within, wrapping his arms in a dark, abyssal coating, reinforcing his defense.
Almost immediately, he crossed his arms over his chest, bracing for impact.
Then it came.
Boom!
The creature's punch connected.
A thunderous shockwave exploded outward, crushing the air itself, sending violent tremors through the entire stge.
Max's body plummeted straight down.
CRASH!
He slammed into the ground with earth-shattering force, the sheer impact creating a massive crater, dust and debris erupting in all directions.
The Battle Realm fell into a stunned silence.
"I am very curious how you handled that."
The creature's voice carried amusement as it slowly walked toward the crater.
But as it approached—
It saw no trace of Max.
Instead—
At the very center of the shattered ground, resting quietly like an omen of destruction, lay a black flaming lotus.
Its fifteen petals flickered ominously, pulsing with an eerie rhythm, the flames whispering secrets of annihilation.
The creature's glowing white ring narrowed slightly as it gazed at the lotus.
Then—
BOOM!
The lotus detonated.
A cataclysmic eruption of black flames surged outward, consuming everything in an instant.
The very air twisted, the ground trembled, and an unnatural heatwave spread across the stage as the dark inferno swallowed the creature whole.
Silence settled the Battle Realm for a moment.
When—
An eerie laughter slithered through the stage.
"Hehe… You are good. Very good."
The voice was twisted, amused, echoing from within the black flames still raging on the stage.
"No wonder he lost against you."
Max's frown deepened, his pink eyes narrowing.
He stood at the far end of the stage, watching the blazing inferno that was supposed to have devoured the creature.
But even as the black flames roared, the presence inside them remained untouched or so it seemed from his voice.
'He's still fine after that?'
Max had expected the creature to survive, but with heavy injuries.
His World Destruction Flame Lotus was mastered to Master Rank1, strong enough to tear through even the toughest defenses.
And it wasn't just any fire—
It was his own.
His black flames.
Even if the creature had some form of resistance, it should have suffered.
Yet—
From the way its voice carried amusement rather than pain, it was clear—
It wasn't injured at all.
Max's fingers curled tightly around his sword hilt.
'Just what the hell is this thing?'
