Divine Convenience Store

After returning to the Verdant Sky Pavilion, Yu Qingyan only spent a few minutes discussing the recent announcement of the Divine Convenience Store to its Golden Patrons with her grandmother before she set out alone to Fanling City.

When she arrived before the store, the last of its customers had just stepped out and the 'Open' sign at the front had been flipped to close.

Her face was filled with a slight sense of urgency as if she was running out of time. Somehow, her objective to the visit changed from just reporting about the accomplishment of her first venture as the Official Distributor of the Divine Convenience Store to being the representative of the Verdant Sky Pavilion inquiring about the immortal-grade products.

Lin Mo immediately saw her and walked over, opening the door for her and inviting her in.

Luckily for her, Lin Mo's message earlier informed her that he's willing to showcase the products to her first. After all, she's coming in for the report and maybe restocking her inventory for her next trip. It saves them both the time of arranging a separate meeting later.

Taking the few steps up, she peeked through the glass doors and took in the now-quiet atmosphere of the Divine Convenience Store.

Lin Mo instantly noticed her arrival and opened the door for her. Given that the revenue from her caravan would also be calculated for the store's evaluation, he naturally waited for her.

They looked at each other and faintly smiled before politely bowing.

Lin Mo stepped aside and invited her in.

As Yu Qingyan entered, the familiar otherworldly yet comforting fragrance greeted her. It mingled with the unique, almost divine ambiance that set the store apart from any other establishment she had ever visited.

Lin Mo closed the door behind her, flipping the sign to 'Closed' properly before turning to face her.

"Miss Yu, welcome back," He greeted, a small knowing smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "You seem… eager. Xiao Ya. Get our guest a can of Heavenly Dew Soda. Take one from our lounge."

The young girl at the counter immediately dashed away.

"How strange, Shopkeeper Lin. You're not this generous usually."

Yu Qingyan's eyes flickered with delight as she accepted his hospitality with a graceful smile. "Is this a special occasion?"

Lin Mo chuckled. "Considering your contribution, you deserve at least this much."

Moments later, Xiao Ya returned with a can of Heavenly Dew Soda, its surface covered with condensation. With a slightly mischievous smirk that she had picked up from Liu Xiaoyu, the young girl placed the can in front of Yu Qingyan before retreating to the counter.

Giggles then echoed in the silent store. Lin Mo sharply turned his gaze to his assistant and employee who immediately dashed away after teasingly saying, "Alright, Boss. We'll leave you two alone. Call us when the Evaluation arrives."

They're gone before he could respond to them.

'Those two. What kind of misunderstanding is going through their head?' Lin Mo thought.

Meanwhile, Yu Qingyan's attention was already stolen by her favorite drink.

She delicately lifted the can, examining it with the same appreciative gaze. Although she still had a few cans stored inside her spatial ring, she'd naturally not reject something Lin Mo had given her for free.

She popped open the can with a crisp 'pshh' before taking a small sip. Almost immediately, her eyes widened slightly as a cool, invigorating sensation spread through her body. Lin Mo observed her reaction with amusement. "Satisfied?"

Yu Qingyan clicked her tongue, "There you go again. Don't twist my words, Shopkeeper. No wonder even your people now think something is going on between us."

She used her spiritual energy to force her mind to calm down. Then, she cleared her throat and retrieved another spatial ring, offering it to him.

"Let's set your teasing aside, Shopkeeper. I'm here to report my first venture as your Distributor, as well as… inquire about the Immortal-Grade Artifacts. Here's the complete revenue from the sales, minus my margin. It should match your expectations. 5000 high-grade spirit stones."

Lin Mo smirked but chose not to tease her further, his demeanor shifting back to business.

He accepted the ring without checking the contents immediately, trusting her calculations.

"That was fast. You barely even had time to rest after your trip."

She shook her head. "In my line of work, time is a luxury. The moment I saw the Store Bulletin Board update, I knew my sect couldn't afford to delay this discussion."

"Anyway, I trust you've already checked the detailed breakdown of our sales, which sects and clans purchased what, and the general reception of the products through the Distributor Interface. I've also sent you my personal assessment of potential markets we should prioritize earlier."

Lin Mo nodded approvingly, "Mhm. I'm in awe of your efficiency, Miss Yu. Your network is even more extensive than I thought. Looks like I'm still a frog in the well, I have a lot to learn from you."

Satisfied at his reaction, Yu Qingyan's lips curved up, "Naturally. My reputation isn't just for show, Shopkeeper. Don't worry. I'm now a partner of your store. I'll naturally lend you my skill and reputation to succeed."

"That is much appreciated, Miss Yu. Now, let's move on to your inventory capacity. You've probably seen it already, you're already qualified for an upgrade."

Lin Mo chuckled. "Miss Yu, do you think I'd try to fleece my best and only Distributor?"

She smirked. "I wouldn't put it past you. You've shown yourself to be quite… creative with words when it suits you."

Lin Mo shook his head, amused. "No, this is the standard rate for the first rank-up. The costs will increase further down the line, but so will the benefits. It's up to you whether you wish to upgrade now or wait."

Truthfully, he also didn't expect this one. He thought he could easily rank her up without any additional cost but it seems the designer of the Divine System Interface had other plans.

Thinking about it, he could only use the system inside the store yet Yu Qingyan could access a part of it through the Jade Token that he handed to her.

If he wasn't wrong, there should be some underlying intention about it. It's like the Divine Interface System is extending its tentacle out of the store.
