Chapter  47 - What is this smile?

The message Leo sent Sophia was to ask if Bella was going to have lunch with them.
Sophia was confused by Leo asking specifically about her friend, as she never saw Leo talking to Bella, but she still responded and confirmed that Bella would too.
Leo saw that this was perfect and gave Chris a thumbs up.
"Come on man, the girl I told you about is also going to have lunch with us, this could be the opportunity for you to meet her. Maybe something else will happen?"
When Chris heard this he felt his face turning completely red. He never imagined that such a simple and unassuming question he asked Leo would result in Leo already talking about a girl and proposing that they meet today!
Chris was nervous, all the confidence he had gathered these days hunting dozens of monsters evaporated and he immediately reverted back to being the shy kid at school who was afraid of other people.
"Dude, how can you do something like that? I don't even know her, I don't know what to say to her, I don't know what she'll think of me, I didn't even dress well! And if she doesn't like me..." At this point Chris continued saying hundreds of things as he sat on the floor with his hand on his head and spoke lower and lower.
Leo was seeing this and couldn't help it, he soon started laughing out loud, causing Chris to wake up and realize he was embarrassing himself in front of his friend.
But that didn't change that Chris was still very nervous, to the point that Leo even saw that his hands were shaking!
"Oh my god, Chris, calm down Dude, just meet a girl, you won't even need to force a subject between you. Leave it to me, I already know them, so I can introduce you, we find a subject that everyone has in common and talk about it, how about it?" Leo suggested with a smile.
When Chris heard that he wouldn't need to find a topic to talk to her about, he became calmer.
"Fine, you help me, but if I don't make it we can just wait, I still have the first alternative, right?" Chris suggested with a low laugh.
Leo looked Chris up and down and sighed. "But this first alternative apparently will take longer than I thought."
Seeing Leo looking at him like that, Chris understood what Leo was talking about and got angry, throwing a couch cushion at Leo, hitting Leo right in the face.

Leo who was not prepared felt this and was furious.
Without even thinking, he took a pillow in each hand and threw one where Chris was and another ten feet in another direction.
The first pillow touched Chris lightly before he teleported to another place to dodge, but what he received was the second pillow Leo had thrown, hitting him right in the face.
Chris was also angry and the two started a pillow fight.
While Chris was teleporting to dodge the pillows and throw pillows at Leo in the best possible places, Leo still managed to hit several pillows at him.
And Leo was using Aim-Bot and Wall-Hack to hit pads on Chris, while using Speed-Hack to try to dodge, but teleport is superior to high speed, so even with Speed-Hack maxed out Chris still hit Leo several pillows.
To a point where Leo grabbed a pillow like a knife and stuck to Chris when he was inattentive.
Leo was holding the pillow to Chris' neck as if he were threatening him.
Being held by Leo, Chris wouldn't be able to teleport without taking Leo along, and that would consume even more mana, so he just threw up his hands and surrendered.
After that war the two started laughing.
Leo was very surprised by Chris' improvement. The last time he saw Chris using his Quirk, the boy was still very inexperienced with teleporting, not quite knowing what to do once he changed his position, and always going to the closest places to avoid spending too much mana, but now , Chris had a much better sense of space, in addition to knowing better the location that would be best to teleport and he would get more advantage in a battle.
It showed Leo how important hands-on experiences were to a person, how great Chris' improvement had been just with him starting to hunt monsters on his own, depending only on himself. This forced both Chris to better handle situations where he needed to find the best chance to attack, and times when he needed to know how to defend himself.
On the other hand, Chris was also very surprised. He thought that by having a Space Quirk he could beat Leo now that he already had a lot more experience in battle, but seeing as how Leo knew how to handle the situation and even managed to figure out where he was going to teleport, Chris had to admit that it would be nearly impossible to beat his friend.
And that's considering they were in a close-range battle. Since Leo has a long-range Quirk, in a battle royale with a larger battlefield, Chris had even less confidence.
"How did you know where I would teleport to?" Chris asked Leo confused while breathing heavily as this had never happened to him before.
Leo was not as tired as Chris, as only Chris needed to spend mana during the battle, and the body of an Awaken Bronze 4 Stars was much tougher than an Awaken Bronze 2 Stars, even with Leo using the Speed-Hack, he still he had more stamina than Chris, who had never trained so hard.
"Do you think that only you have spatial sense? I'm an archer, in a hunting group my job is always to locate the enemy and shoot my arrows in the places where they will be. they can go, either to defend themselves, or to attack, or to flee. Considering you can teleport, the places you can go are wider, but can still be predictable." Leo explained while talking a lot of nonsense that came to his mind.
As much as he said that his Quirk increased his hit rate, he never said that his Quirk accuracy was high enough to predict where the target would be.
When Leo activated the Aim-Bot to maximum to throw the pads, his hands practically started moving by themselves and threw things without him controlling anything other than issuing the mental order to throw things.
With that Leo was sure that the attacks would hit, but of course, not all attacks would do damage, like his first attack, where the pillow he threw only hit for a split second where Chris was.
Even if it hit, it wouldn't count as doing damage, at most it could be considered a scratch.
After this war, the two of them tidied up Leo's apartment and got ready again, as their hair was quite messy from being hit on the head by each other's pillows.
Clothes packed, Leo glanced at his watch and saw that it was almost time, so the two of them left the room and went out into the hallway just in time to see Sophia opening the door to her apartment.
Chris was still quite shy, but as Sophia wasn't the girl Leo said he was going to introduce to him, he calmed down.
But soon Sophia broke Chris' calm.
"Hey Leo, why did you ask about Bella?" she asked confused.
Leo flashed a big smile and explained while pointing at Chris. "I saw that she was a very shy girl, but still very lively and tried to join in conversations when she had the opportunity, which gave me a great impression of her, and as my friend Chris came in today, and coincidentally his personality is very similar to hers, I thought I'd introduce the two of them to each other, how about?"
Hearing this, Sophia raised her eyebrow in surprise and looked at Chris next to Leo. She wasn't the person in charge of greeting students at the train station today, so she hadn't met Chris before that, but seeing as he's friends with Leo, and from what she's known of Leo these days, he's probably not a person. bad.
