"What's with the additional twenty points?" Ryuk couldn't help but ask, noting the extra bracketed points present on his stats interface.
[It seems there exist various forms of Apex Energy not easily accessible to others, but present in various natural Apex treasures.]
[One of these energies is the Source Energy, found in the Rejuvenation Pool, a natural Apex treasure.]
[While Apex Energy containing Source Energy is typically used to treat injuries and clear fatigue in the way the Fallen Family expected it to be used...]
[The host's Nanobody seems capable of extracting the source material of this energy directly into his body to boost physical stats.]
[This is a feat that ordinary bodies are incapable of.]
[The Source Energy is normally impossible to extract directly or is only mildly absorbed, but the host's special Nanobody negates this limitation.]
[This caused a situation where instead of simply treating the host's injuries, the host directly absorbed the Source Energy from the rejuvenation liquids, significantly boosting his stats.]
[This is the reason for the additional bracketed points!]
The system explained as Ryuk sat down, unable to muster a word.
"But... but isn't it insane? All of my physical stats just almost doubled from something as simple as a bath!?"
[It is important to add that the host's badly injured body is the major reason for this massive increase.]
[If the host had been uninjured, then the host's cells would have fought against the Source Energy, and there wouldn't even be space for it in the first place.]
[Still, the host can truly thank his unusual body for this...]
The system said, and Ryuk exhaled loudly.
"Seems like my nanobody isn't just for show. Just what more specialties is it hiding that I don't know of yet?" Ryuk thought to himself as he raised his hands and clenched his fists.
The doubled increase in strength was incredibly clear, and the feeling was nothing short of intoxicating. Somehow, he wanted to experience that feeling once more, and his eyes started to look at the waterfall of the Rejuvenation Bath.
It was needless.
[If the host is thinking of doing that again, it would be a bad idea. The host's current cells have been inflated with Source Energy to their maximum. The host needs some time for this energy to stabilize, and Source Energy is best used when the host's cells and organs have received major injuries and thereby space.]
[Is that clear?]
The system explained to Ryuk, whose eyes narrowed before he nodded.
Suddenly, Ryuk's eyes flashed as he remembered something.
According to Quinn, classes begin from 7 AM to 2 PM. That should be seven hours, just the number of hours required for this phase of the class.
So technically, this class should be the only one for the day. Most of the students would be in the training rooms now, and that girl had invited him to train.
'Might as well go check that out,' Ryuk thought before his gaze drew to his half-naked body.
"Well, after getting a new pair of clothes, of course..."
---
The Fallen Arisen Training Hall
The gigantic words were clearly written on the structure right in front of Ryuk.
Dressed in a new white shirt and trousers, Ryuk exhaled loudly before entering through the glass door.
The second he stepped in, it was like he had walked into a war zone, as he felt reverberations of power through the walls around him.
The structure was a simple narrow hall with doors on the sides, and it was from these doors that Ryuk could feel the vibrations—most likely the Fallen Geniuses themselves training.
He remembered the girl had told him she would be at the end of the training hall, so Ryuk kept moving downward until he arrived at the last room in the place.
Here, he felt a monumental amount of vibration that was twice as intense as the rest, and his heart unconsciously began to beat faster.
Raising his hand, Ryuk knocked thrice but received no reply.
It would have been strange if he had, considering how loud it currently was.
With a sharp inhale, his hand reached for the knob, and he opened the door before stepping in.
"What the!?" Ryuk exclaimed in shock as he ducked his head, just in time for a body to crash straight into the wall above him, sending dust and bricks raining down on him.
Cough.
Cough.
A bit of coughing ensued, and that seemed to finally stop the vibrations as the hall quieted down and Ryuk waved through the dust.
The scene before him was one of absolute decimation.
Robotic pieces of bodies were strewn all over the walls, their bodies still sparking with electricity. Torn robotic arms and legs, ripped-out energy cores—it was like some beast from hell had been unleashed upon the robots.
Turning his gaze away from the broken robots, he soon found the 'beast-from-hell' that was responsible.@@novelbin@@
A girl stood in the training area, her hair tightly bound into a high ponytail, some stray strands sticking to her sweat-slicked forehead.
She wore a fitted battle singlet that clung to her athletic frame, highlighting her toned shoulders and chest, which were bigger than Ryuk's.
In her gloved hands was a bottle of some green liquid, and she had a smirk on as she stared at Ryuk.
"You're late, pretty barbarian..." Morgaine said to the boy, who shrugged helplessly.
"The class ended up being harder than I expected..."
He murmured back as Morgaine chuckled and the bottle in her hand disappeared.
"I heard about it already. It's a miracle you're even standing here at all. Some of them said you wouldn't be able to rise from the bed for the next couple of days..."
She said, and Ryuk's eyes narrowed.
Just how had she known that? She wasn't in their training today. They were just ten of them in that class.
That meant somehow, information must have spread.
"I'm here for the training. What do you do?"
What do you think?
