Chapter 338: Ch-338: Kicking the box

Tang Nian, just like my Min Family, her Tang Family is also one of the top families from the capital," Min Li whispered to Wang Ming, who nodded in understanding.

'Tsk, all top families are arrogant. Maybe I should start acting more arrogant too,' Wang Ming contemplated.

"Also, she's like her sister, who is the personal disciple of the Sect Master of the Heavenly Sword Sect. She is also a candidate for the tournament," Min Li informed him.

Wang Ming's eyes widened as he recalled his time in the secret realm, where he had met the princess, and the personal Disicple and the sect master of the Heavenly Sword Sect.

'I see... So she's her sister. No wonder I felt her face was familiar,' Wang Ming thought as he followed the girls to the hunting grounds, which were filled with disciples.

"What are you looking at?" Tang Nian asked with a frown as she noticed Wang Ming staring intently at her face, which made her feel displeased.

'Tsk, what can you expect from Yang-Yin Sect disciples — a bunch of perverts. I still don't understand why Min Li went to that sect,' Tang Nian thought but kept her expression neutral as to not take make things awkward for Min Li.

"Hmm, nothing. I just thought your face looked familiar," Wang Ming said with a shrug, ignoring her glare.

"By the way, why are you wearing a mask?" Tang Nian asked curiously. Though she had just met him and probably shouldn't poke her nose into other people's business, she had a terrible habit of not being able to contain her curiosity and wanted to know everything.

"Would you believe me if I said I'm just too shy and found this mask on the roadside?" Wang Ming replied in an indifferent tone.

'Tsk, what arrogance. For some reason, I really want to beat him up,' Tang Nian's eyebrows twitched. Honestly, from the moment she saw him, she'd been feeling the urge to pummel him, though she couldn't explain why.

"By the way, Min Li, are you heading to the hunting grounds?" Tang Nian asked after seeing Wang Ming was not going to say anything.

"Hmm, yes. I'm going with Wang Ming. Do you want to join us?" Min Li offered.

"Sure," Tang Nian replied with a casual shrug as she followed the pair toward the hunting grounds.

"Woah, there are a lot more people here than in the first area, that's for sure. And some of them are even at the Foundation Realm," Min Li exclaimed as she saw the large number of people fighting monsters — some killing them with ease, others struggling, and a few even getting killed by the beasts.

"Yeah, a lot of disciples from other participating sects are here too," Tang Nian added with a raised eyebrow as she spotted a few Heavenly Sword Sect and Yang-Yin Sect disciples.

"Tsk, this place is too crowded. How are we supposed to hunt beasts like this?" Tang Nian clicked her tongue in irritation and was about to tell them to leave when she suddenly noticed Wang Ming stepping forward before she could.

'He's going to do something to provoke everyone, isn't he?' Min Li thought as she recognized that familiar mischievous expression Wang Ming always wore before causing trouble.

"Hey, what are you planning to do?" Min Li whispered.

"You know those monster-attracting bombs I bought? I'm going to use them. But first, I plan to warn everyone so they don't get caught up and hurt," Wang Ming replied casually.

"Really?" Min Li asked skeptically, and Wang Ming nodded.

'Well… if he puts it that way, maybe some people will understand. No one wants to die, after all. Maybe they'll back off for now,' Min Li thought hopefully.

"Alright, everyone!" Wang Ming suddenly shouted in a loud voice. All the players fighting paused in surprise — some even got killed in that momentary distraction.

"Everyone, please clear the area if you don't want to die," Wang Ming continued.

Min Li's jaw dropped, and Tang Nian looked him up and down in shock. Neither had expected him to be this bold.

'Goddammit! I know what he meant, but the way he worded it…' Min Li nearly pulled out her hair in frustration. His words sounded less like a friendly warning and more like a threat — as if he'd kill them if they didn't leave. Sure enough, silence fell over the crowd before everyone turned toward Wang Ming with anger in their eyes and began cursing at him furiously.

"Bastard, what did you just say?!" one of them screamed at Wang Ming.

"Damn, who the hell is he? How arrogant!" another player shouted.

"Fuck! I've never been threatened like this in my life — not even my parents scolded me like that!" someone else from the crowd cursed.

"So bold, so arrogant! If I don't leave, he's going to kill me? I'd like to see him try!" another person snarled.

"He's wearing a mask to hide his face. What a coward," someone said with disdain, glaring furiously at Wang Ming.

"Huh... why are they reacting like this? I was warning them for their own good," Wang Ming asked, turning to Min Li and Tang Nian, both of whom looked at him with twitching lips.

"You're even bolder than my sister," Tang Nian muttered in disbelief.

"Well, whatever. I warned them... they can't blame me for what happens next," Wang Ming said with a shrug as he pulled out a large box.

"You're not planning to use them all at the same time, right?" Min Li asked nervously, sweat dripping down her forehead as she started to realize his intentions — and even more sweat appeared when she saw his smirk.

After placing the box on the ground, he opened it, revealing numerous spherical objects. With a smirk, he kicked the box high into the air, and soon the orbs began raining down onto the ground. As each one shattered after hitting the ground, a thick black smoke emerged from within.

"Oh fuck!" everyone in the crowd cursed in unison as they recognized the objects.
