When life got better and we wanted to bring her here, she blackmailed us with her life to stay in the countryside, leading to today’s problems.”

“Mom, it’s not your fault, it’s because my sister doesn’t understand,” Rose consoled Jade sensibly.

“If only your sister were half as good as you, things wouldn’t be this way,” Ron Woods sighed.

Rose graciously accepted the parental praise and turned to face Cyan Marshall again, “Mrs. Hughes, I apologize if my words offend you, but I feel it must be said by me, by someone from the Woods family.”

“Say what you must, speak your mind today,” Cyan Marshall stated, her face calm, showing neither delight nor anger.

“I wish to say, Brother Oliver is the Hughes family’s eldest legitimate son and the only nephew of the Marshall Family’s Third Young Master. With that status, even if he didn’t choose from all the prestigious daughters in Peace City, he should choose someone excellent in every way, one whom others admire.

Not someone like my sister, raised in the countryside, with poor conduct, unjustly lowering Brother Oliver!”

Rose’s words touched the hearts of the Hughes family elders, instantly earning their support.

“Before revealing the result, may I ask my sister a question?” Bella suddenly spoke.

“What do you want to ask?” Rose frowned.

Other elders of the Hughes family were equally surprised.

“This moment isn’t for stalling with pointless questions, reveal the results already.”

“Exactly, delaying to make excuses, I say just tell us directly.”

“Doctor Tanner, just say it.” Uncle ordered the female doctor.

“Since Bella has a question, let her ask it first.” Cyan Marshall backed Bella up.
