Chapter 21: Chapter 21: Proud Young Master Oliver Kneels to Apologize to Her Chapter 21: Chapter 21: Proud Young Master Oliver Kneels to Apologize to Her “How could I have a shameless daughter like you!” Ron Woods angrily pointed at Rose Woods.
“What did I do? I’m naturally more noble than Bella Woods. Everything she gets should rightfully be mine.” Rose cried, covering her face.
“There must be something wrong!”
Rose looked at Bella with hatred: “There are marks on her, I want to strip them, strip them all!”
She got up madly to charge at Bella, but Ron kicked her to the ground: “Are you going crazy again?”
Ron didn’t hold back with his kick.
“Enough, enough.” Jade Patel rushed up to hold Rose, crying: “Don’t hit her anymore, you’ll hurt your daughter.”
Protecting Rose, Jade was kicked several times but willingly endured it.
Bella just quietly watched until she felt someone holding her shoulder and realized it was Cyan Marshall comforting her.
“Bella, you have me, and your uncle,” Cyan said.
Bella shook her head with a smile: “I’m fine.”
It’s just that her heart hurt a little.
She just wanted to cry a little.
Just…
Very wronged.
But, it’ll all be okay, right?
There will come a day of indifference, without ripples.
“Why are you standing up? Did you apologize?” Daniel Hughes kicked Oliver Hughes down again in front of Bella.
“This has nothing to do with me. Why should I apologize?” Oliver couldn’t comprehend.
“Wasn’t it your friend who slandered with the video earlier? Isn’t Rose the one who wants to become your fiancée?”
“What’s that got to do with me?” Oliver was defiant.
“If you hadn’t failed as a fiancé, would Bella be so wronged?” Daniel commanded: “Apologizing is the least you can do.”
“I didn’t do anything wrong, I won’t apologize.” Oliver responded without hesitation.
As he raised his head to look at Bella, his gaze was cold: “Bella Woods, do you think I should apologize?”
Bella felt the threat and arrogance in Oliver’s gaze.
If Daniel and Cyan weren’t present, what Oliver wanted to say was: Bella Woods, do you deserve my apology?
Bella just looked at Oliver and asked: “Shouldn’t you apologize?”
“Bella Woods, you…” Oliver was shocked that Bella dared to speak to him with such an attitude.
“You’re ambiguous with Sienna Warren, making her think she could slander me to climb up. Aren’t you wrong?” Bella stood straight, her chin raised high.
“You have nothing with Rose because you don’t like people who cling too much. If Rose tried a different way to flirt with you, you’d fall for it.”
Bella’s two calm remarks saw through Oliver’s attitude towards relationships.
And her back straightened more as she looked at Oliver.
With her eyes downcast, she looked coldly at the shock, incredulity, and disbelief in Oliver’s eyes.
Because to him, lowly Bella, who licked his boots, would speak to him in this way!
“Oliver, apologize!” Daniel reminded.
Oliver stared at Bella and coldly spat out three words: “She doesn’t deserve it!”
“If you don’t apologize today, you’ll be kept kneeling, and I’ll strip you of your heir status in the Hughes Family.”
“If I need to apologize to obtain it, I’d rather not have it.” Oliver was equally steadfast.
Daniel’s face looked terrible.
The father and son were at a stalemate like this.
Until…
“Has the family banquet finished?”
With a careless voice, everyone looked towards the door.
Tim Season was wearing a watermelon red suit, with no shirt underneath, just a slightly buttoned vest.
He glanced at Oliver kneeling in front of Bella and laughed, “Before Third Young Master left on a trip, he asked me to remind the Hughes Family that Young Master Oliver should properly apologize to his fiancée. Turns out I didn’t need to, Young Master Oliver is already apologizing.”
“Mr. Season,” Daniel greeted Tim.
Tim waved his hand: “No big deal. It’s just that yesterday, at Paradise World’s second floor, I accidentally bumped into Young Master Oliver celebrating a female friend’s birthday, showing a somewhat…”
Tim didn’t complete his sentence, but Daniel’s expression was already ugly.
“Since the apology is done, I’ll report back to Third Young Master. This engagement party should proceed as scheduled, just hope Young Master Oliver doesn’t let Third Young Master feel he needs to be disciplined.”
After speaking, Tim added: “After all, he’s the Third Young Master’s only nephew. Old Lady Marshall instructed Third Young Master to take good care of Young Master Oliver.”
Tim finished, nodded to Daniel and Cyan, and left.
Daniel’s face was extremely gloomy, with an impulse to punish his rebellious son, but Cyan’s gaze stopped him.
Cyan looked at Oliver and reminded: “I won’t say what you did yesterday, but it let your uncle feel he had to ask someone to make you apologize.”
“Do you think having your uncle’s backing means you don’t need to apologize and have confidence? But you know clearly what you’ll lose if you won’t apologize now.”
Cyan didn’t elaborate.
Oliver could confront Daniel, out of stubbornness.
Because he believed he had Ashton Marshall’s support.
But now it’s different.
Oliver’s face also turned unpleasant. He didn’t expect Ashton to have seen everything from the second floor the previous night.
Witnessed it and even got involved.
Apologize…
He looked up at Bella.
Bella looked down at him, silent, but her straight back and firm expression showed just one attitude.
No apology, no end.
Oliver didn’t expect that overnight, the lily flower who begged him for reconciliation yesterday was now like a little queen, firm.
Oliver was at a loss, feeling he’d never truly known Bella.
“Oliver?” Cyan gently reminded.
Oliver sighed; the proud young master eventually lowered his head: “I’m sorry.”
Bella’s expression didn’t change: “I don’t know what you’re apologizing for, or why.”
“Bella Woods, don’t push too far!”
“Yesterday, you taught me that apologies and requests should be clear.” Bella fearlessly met Oliver’s gaze, not backing down an inch.
She wanted every humiliating word he said yesterday returned to him!
Oliver looked at her resentfully, clenched his back teeth, and continued, “I, Oliver Hughes, apologize to you, Bella Woods.”
“For my unclear relationship with Sienna Warren, for your sister’s attempts to entice me, for celebrating Sienna’s birthday instead of considering your feelings yesterday.”
The latter words Oliver uttered every syllable clearly, “Is that enough?”
Bella clenched her fists, suppressing her bursting emotions.
But her reddened eyes revealed her feelings.
She bit down hard, tasting the iron tang of blood in her mouth.
At that moment, she felt it.
She straightened her back, bit by bit from where it slumped yesterday.
Piece by piece, she picked up her shattered dignity from yesterday.
She achieved what the handsome male prostitute advised, standing on equal ground with Oliver.
She felt an urge to see him.
Bella restrained the wild thought, looking down to accept Oliver’s apology: “Alright, this time I forgive you.”
“I thank you for your forgiveness, fiancée.” Oliver coldly stared at her.
Bella smiled: “You’re welcome, just don’t let it happen again, fiancé.”
What do you think?
