Chapter 80 - 80 80 Third Young Master Let Me Support You
Chapter 80: Chapter 80: Third Young Master: Let Me Support You Chapter 80: Chapter 80: Third Young Master: Let Me Support You Bella Woods was stunned for a while before reacting to the response.
She suddenly kneeled up and hugged Ashton Marshall tightly.
“Careful with your shoulder,” Ashton hurriedly reminded her, his hands resting on her soft waist, feeling somewhat at a loss.
Bella’s shoulder hurt, but she couldn’t care less.
She just wanted to hold him tightly and feel the reality of it.
After a moment, Bella suddenly sat down hard on Ashton’s lap, “Really willing?”
Ashton was amused by her reaction, “Is there anything worth being unwilling about?”
“We have to go abroad…” Bella poked Ashton’s chest with her finger, “It’s unfamiliar, and I have some money, but over time, I can’t really afford to support…”
Her voice trailed off, and she even sneaked a few glances at Ashton.
Primarily because everything he used, ate, and his every gesture clearly showed how well he had been living these years.
After Bella went abroad, the Woods Family definitely wouldn’t give her money, and her relationship with the Hughes Family would slowly fade, so she’d have to rely on herself, working part-time while studying.
“What, afraid you can’t support me?” Ashton immediately saw through the young girl’s thoughts, “We could switch roles, you know.”
“Switch?” Bella didn’t quite understand.
Ashton shifted her slightly closer, and his hands naturally intertwined at her lower back as he lowered his head to touch her nose with his.
“Yeah, I’ll support you.”
“No, that’s not… ah.” Bella was so agitated that she tried to push Ashton away but ended up pulling her shoulder, turning her face pale with pain.
“Injured, so you need to be careful.”
Ashton’s expression darkened, and he gently massaged Bella’s shoulder.
“Anyway, I won’t let you return to the old ways.”
Bella’s mind was filled with thoughts of Ashton being taken by someone else.
“I have money, I won’t be unable to support you, I can get scholarships then, and join school projects, there will be money.”
Determined to study abroad as an exchange student, Bella had already researched the schools abroad.
As long as she prepared the tuition, she wouldn’t starve overseas.
“So afraid I’ll belong to someone else?” Ashton knew she had misunderstood but still smiled at her.
“It’s just that…”
Bella didn’t want to admit it, biting her lip, “Anyway, it’s just that…”
“Just that you want me,” Ashton finished the words she was ashamed to say.
He gently patted her head, kissed her forehead, then her nose, and finally her lips.
“I understand.”
“What do you understand?” she mumbled.
“I understand that you can’t do without me, I understand you want to take me wherever you go, I understand you…”
“No, I don’t!”
Bella, visibly flustered, pushed Ashton away and got off his lap, her face burning red with embarrassment, “I’m going to cook.”
She tried to walk away, but Ashton pulled her back onto the sofa.
He turned on the TV with one hand and brushed Bella’s nose with the other, “Being injured, just watch TV properly.”
“But I promised…”
“There will be future opportunities.”
Ashton ruffled Bella’s hair, urging her to watch TV well, while he headed to the kitchen.
Bella sat on the sofa, watching the funny variety show Ashton had tuned for her while recalling the warmth of his hands on her face and body. A thick, sweet affection welled up in her heart.
She couldn’t help but bite her lip and shyly glance towards the kitchen.
The house had an open kitchen.
Bella immediately saw Ashton busy at the counter, now wearing a black apron.
The apron hung over his bare upper body, and as he moved, his arm muscles flexed, with broad shoulders open and a back fully exposed when he turned.
The delight of such a sight prompted Bella to quietly take out her phone to snap several photos.
“Taking pictures of me comes with a fee, hmm?” Ashton, busy cutting something, suddenly raised his eyes in her direction.
Startled, Bella quickly put away her phone, pretending to watch the comedy show as if nothing had happened, playing dead!
Ashton chuckled, watching the back of her head, shaking his head and continuing with what he was doing.
When a platter of fresh, juicy fruits was placed in front of Bella, Ashton cradled her face and kissed her lightly.
“Dinner will take a while, have some fruit to tide you over.”
“I ate at the Hughes Family earlier,” Bella foolishly remarked.
“Hmm, didn’t get full, you were eager to come back to see me,” Ashton responded.
Bella was momentarily stunned, her face growing red again, “Who said that…”
“I did.”
Ashton stood up, laughed softly, and popped a piece of strawberry from the plate into his mouth before heading back to the kitchen.
“Narcissistic.”
Though Bella said so, she couldn’t hide her sly smile as she picked up a piece of fruit from the platter and began eating.
It was very sweet.
Dinner was ready over an hour later.
Bella was quite surprised at the variety of dishes spread out on the dining table.
She thought the old man might just cook a couple of simple dishes, but here were four dishes and a soup, featuring cuisines from the north and south, making Bella involuntarily swallow.
“You’re amazing, Uncle.”
Bella hurriedly took a seat at the dining table, her eyes eagerly watching Ashton as he brought out the rice.
“Uncle, how are you so amazing, knowing so much?”
The bowl of white rice was placed in front of Bella, and she looked up, grinning broadly.
Ashton couldn’t help but smile, pinching her cheek, “Still a little foodie, your mouth starts sweet-talking when you encounter good food.”
“I’m just praising you,” protested Bella, removing his hand.
Ashton served Bella some soup, “Try it first.”
“Okay.”
Bella obediently took a sip of the soup, her eyes lighting up, “So good.”
She drank several mouthfuls consecutively.
Ashton watched from the side, his eyes deep; just watching the girl, with her bright eyes, finish the soup and then eagerly sample the other dishes on the table.
“Delicious, delicious.”
“Slow down. If you like it, I’ll make it for you again,” said Ashton.
“You haven’t told me yet, how do you know so much?” Bella fed Ashton a piece of meat.
Ashton ate it, “I spent some time abroad, but it’s been a while since I cooked…”
Before he could finish, Ashton’s phone rang.
He glanced at it and said to Bella, “You go ahead and eat, I’ll take a call.”
Bella nodded, watching him head towards the balcony before continuing her meal.
It really was delicious.
Even though she had eaten at the Hughes Family, Bella seemed to have a bottomless stomach, eager to consume everything Ashton had cooked.
Meanwhile, on the balcony, Ashton, whose expression was gentle as he watched Bella eating, turned grim the moment he answered the call.
“Speak.”
“Third Young Master, it’s been handled. I didn’t spare Oliver and Allan Season, those two brats.”
Tim Season’s voice came from the phone, “I also made it clear to Oliver that this lesson was for bullying his fiancée, to make him understand his soon-to-be engaged status.”
What do you think?
