Chapter 252 World's worst museum

"Uhm, are you ok?" Luna asked while struggling to place her hand on her forehead because of the difference in stature.

"It's the truth, he was telling the truth."

"About what?"@@novelbin@@

"There's somebody else living inside of him, I saw him."

"I guess that explains a lot, what did he look like? is he human?" Luna asked.

"Forget about that, was he hot?" Nika butted in.

"I can't describe him, he was... scary. That's all I can say."

"So, is Uriel a zombie or something?"

"No, but I don't think he's lying."

"I noticed how quickly he heals from wounds and thought it was related to his trait, but maybe there's more to it." Luna thought out loud.

Uriel woke up a few minutes later, his thoughts were a complete mess and he had no memory of Medusa appearing inside his vision. He was dizzy and tired, but now he knew that eating would help with that and he ransacked the refrigerator before Medusa could even offer him a cup of Cheeky chicken.

The conversation that followed was pretty much Medusa recounting what she saw, but she chose not to tell Uriel about Water warlock's message because she didn't trust him. Because of that, they didn't have much to discuss any longer and Uriel retreated to his room carrying with him all his artifacts.

"Hey, can you hear me? Did you mess up with my things in the museum?" He said out loud, though no response. " Are you really there? Why don't you speak to me?"

It wasn't the first time he tried to communicate with Water warlock, sometimes he could somewhat feel his presence but he never replied.

After the fruitless experiment with Medusa's petrifying glare Uriel lied on his bed for a while trying to find an answer to the missing artifact. Even if it was a worthless magazine, it still held cultural value. Besides, for some odd reason the magazine was able to channel flux, which allowed him to use it to scold the jaguar whenever it misbehaved without causing it any harm.

But the problem wasn't just the missing item, it was also the possibility of losing more of his priceless artifacts which meant he wouldn't be able to store them back in his museum until he found the answer.

"Ahhh! This is so unfair!" Uriel ruffled his own hair in frustration. Now that all of his artifacts were out of his trait he wouldn't get any of the passive benefits he got whenever they were stored and wouldn't be able to use his phone with just a thought like usual.

"May I come in?" Medusa knocked on the door and walked in as soon as Uriel opened the door.

"What are you doing here?"

"Ah! I just came to check if we're good." She said, relieved after noticing that Uriel didn't flinch after seeing her.

"Yeah, thanks for helping me." Uriel nodded.

"Of course! That's what friends are for."

"Friends," Uriel echoed and then continued. "Since we're friends, there's something I'd like to ask you, but it's ok to refuse if it makes you uncomfortable."

"Yes?"

"Would you mind if I... try to activate the ability of the magazine with you?"

"Y-you w-want to know my body measurements? I-I can tell you if that's what you want." Medusa failed to remain calm.

"Like I said, it's ok if you don't want to. I can always ask Nika."

"You jerk!" Medusa rushed towards the exit, but stopped in front of the door and instead of going out she locked it. She then turned around and blushingly asked. "What do I need to do?"

The whole situation was exhilarating and Uriel knew that, he just didn't feel it.

"Nothing, I just need to get on the right mindset I think."

"Would it help if I take off my shirt?"

For a glimpse of a second, his distant heart almost skipped a beat, but Uriel shook his head and directed a predatory gaze towards Medusa. Instead of extinguishing it, her tomboyish appearance emphasized her feminine attitude and soon enough a system message beeped on his phone.

[System notice] Can't activate Lewd Ladies passive effect until the stolen artifact is retrieved.

"It was stolen!" Uriel stood blinked from the bed in shock.

"What?"

"The magazine! Someone broke into my trait!"

"But that's impossible!" Medusa covered her mouth knowing that he wasn't making it up.

"Nika does it all the time, the only other person who could have done something like that is Water warlock. Do you think it would be possible for you to use your trait on me again and ask him?"

"I meant to tell you this, but he told me to not do it ever again. It didn't sound like a threat, but he also didn't seem like he was playing around."

"Yeah, he's overbearing like that." Uriel sighed.

Now that he had the answer as to what had happened to his artifact, Uriel tried to find a solution. He couldn't place any defenses or alarms within his trait and even if he asked Nika to guard the artifacts 24/7 she would still need to take some rests from time to time.

Besides, she was extremely busy managing the Dungeon Raiders company and he didn't want all that responsibility to fall on his shoulders.

In the end, though, he found a simple yet effective solution.

It took some out of the box thinking, but after some experiments he found out that he could set up a museum outside of his trait and the effects would still take effect. He placed them on top of crates and showcased them on the third floor with small footnotes written on sheets of paper.

"Not too shabby." He said after finishing his pre apocalyptic era exhibition. Experience more on My Virtual Library Empire

"As far as museums go, this is a 1 on a scale of ten." Medusa giggled.

"At least I can still summon them." Uriel said after making the pocket knife appear on his hand with a grin on his face.
