Enemies Are All Nourishment for My Fungi..

Chapter 277: Chapter 277: Going to the Military Camp for Special Training (2)

After a series of tests, it was already noon. The instructors let Ye Nai go back first to check out of the hotel. She was to come back the next day for a week-long shooting enhancement training, mainly to practice with sniper rifles to improve her shooting accuracy.

“If your shooting accuracy improves, you’ll be well-suited for carrying out decapitation missions.”

“Targeting the enemies’ leaders?”

“Yes.”

“By the way, when you say one head refers to everyone being the same or does it refer to a big-headed soldier?”

“Big-headed soldiers, one out of every ten, in a team of twenty, the team leader is worth fifteen points, what you hit determines the points you get, there’s a list, you’ll get it when you arrive at the frontline camp.”

“Okay.” Ye Nai nodded, then changed the subject, “Is there a recommended garage nearby? I need to have all my vehicles serviced: motorcycles, SUVs, RVs, and agricultural engineering vehicles. These are my guarantees when traveling in the wilderness, especially the SUV, which is my most cherished vehicle.”

The instructors quickly assured her that it was not a problem and promptly submitted her requests. As they reached the edge of the shooting range and Ye Nai boarded the vehicle that would take her out of the military camp, they told her she would receive the garage’s address she needed at the gate.

At the military camp’s main gate, a logistics soldier was already waiting there. After verifying Ye Nai’s name, he gave her a printed list of garage addresses. Her cherished SUV could be directly inspected and maintained at the military camp’s own garage with guaranteed original parts for any replacement needed.

But since this garage was deep within the camp, she couldn’t go in again, so Ye Nai briskly took out her SUV, paid the logistics soldier a maintenance fee, and agreed to settle any difference when she picked up the vehicle.

Leaving the military camp, Ye Nai took out her RV and set the navigation for the garage. She skipped lunch and drove there directly.

Her RV had traveled from Five Bridges City to Daijing over a few months, covering a distance of one to two thousand kilometers. With a long trip to the border ahead, a first service for a new vehicle was essential.

The list of garage addresses she held was tailored to her vehicles, with each location specializing in a specific type of vehicle, including the agricultural engineering vehicle.

Ye Nai spent the entire afternoon running between different locations, leaving behind her cherished vehicles.

For the agricultural engineering vehicle, she even had the Fungus decompose any organic matter in the soil on the vehicle’s body. Although the garage staff definitely wouldn’t analyze the soil, starting with a clean slate was better and less worrisome.

After also dropping off her motorcycle at the brand service shop, Ye Nai was left with just her electric car. She leisurely drove the small vehicle back to the hotel, ordered room service for a meal, and finally had her second meal of the day.

After eating, she sent messages to her mom and siblings, informing them about her week-long enclosed weapons training.

Yu Qing and the twins each responded to her messages, saying they were going through the process, especially the twins who had obtained their identity documents and even had their father sign a power of attorney; they would handle the rest of the procedures themselves.

Ye Nai didn’t ask how the twins got their father, who was constantly indulged in alcohol, to agree to sign the document. But their capability to handle it assured her that they could manage on their own.

After a good night’s sleep, she got up early in the morning to check out and rode her electric bike to the military camp in the suburbs before the morning rush hour. Fortunately, the roads were smooth all the way, and she arrived on time without any accidents.

For the next week, Ye Nai conducted closed training in the camp. Even though her accommodation was a bit far from the shooting range, it wasn’t a problem. She obtained a temporary pass, rode her small electric bike, left in the morning and returned in the evening. She had plenty of equipment, so there was no need to leave the range for meals or rest.

The instructors stayed with her at the shooting range, and during the lunch break, they hurriedly learned about weapons maintenance, how to disassemble a gun into parts, clean it with gun oil, and then reassemble it. The cleaning rags were all made of pure cotton.

Ye Nai had never maintained the guns in her Space before. After using them, she would store them back in Space. Previously, because she didn’t have a gun license, she couldn’t even buy gun oil openly.

After acquiring the East Ridge Secret Realm, various rear towns took their firearms with them during retreats, but the resources in the frontline camp were forcefully detained by her. The firearms, gun oil, and cotton rags that couldn’t be taken away were still stored in the Space. She didn’t use them because she didn’t know how, not because she was lazy.

Now that she properly learned how to disassemble and maintain guns, she’d have something to do during the boring periods when watching movies in the future.

In addition to firearms, she also practiced throwing hand grenades. Ye Nai was not only strong but also had good control over her strength. She hit targets at various distances accurately, without a single one exploding off target.

Ye Nai was also eager to learn; she brought out sugar and ammonium nitrate fertilizer and asked for advice on the proportions for mixing them into explosives.

Ammonium nitrate fertilizer, regulated before the war, was of course deregulated during the war state. There were numerous short videos online about the mixing ratios and the effects of explosions, but Ye Nai had never tried them before. Now that she had professionals in front of her, she could ask direct questions.

When she initially bought these two items, she never thought about making them into explosives. The sugar was for energy replenishment, and the fertilizer was for farming. Now she had different uses in mind.

As for where to get detonators and fuses, she was not worried at all. If necessary, she could always seize them from the enemy.

In the eyes of the instructors, it was good to be studious, but ammonium nitrate was still too dangerous. They advised Ye Nai not to handle it and to just let it serve its purpose as a fertilizer.

Turning their heads, they brought Ye Nai TNT and C4 and taught her hands-on how to connect detonators and fuses. They also showed her various types of mines, those meant for people and those for vehicles, in all different varieties. Used in combination over an area along with her sniper skills, they guaranteed the complete elimination of an entire enemy squad.

Particularly the improved Butterfly Mines, meant to effectively damage an enemy’s legs, had their explosive charge increased and were painted grass green. Thrown into the fields, they were virtually invisible. Stepping on one would mean losing a foot.

If Blue Star humans stepped on these improved Butterfly Mines, they wouldn’t just lose a foot, but losing an entire leg would be considered a light injury.

A week flew by quickly, and Ye Nai summarized daily, creating an inventory list each day and discussing it with the instructors. The amount the military could provide didn’t matter to her. She’d take as much as they gave and could carry away, or she’d buy it in the market if they couldn’t provide.

When she finally left the camp, she took five containers filled with firearms, ammunition, bulletproof vests, ghillie suits, gun oil, rags, clothes, shoes, mines, hand grenades, and other necessities. Additionally, she made a hundred blocks of concrete.

Just as an old saying goes, if they dare to give, she dares to receive.

The thoroughly maintained off-road vehicle was driven to the camp’s main gate for her. She had received this vehicle last September, and it was still in good condition now. Besides changing engine oil, brake pads, air conditioning, and air filters, most importantly, all tires, including the spare, were replaced with military-grade, semi-steel, blast-resistant tires with wide treads and deep grooves, capable of withstanding intense off-road driving.
