Chapter 2529: The Climax Is Approaching

"W-Wait a second, hold on lady Genesis, I never said I would become anybody's mentor! I-I am not built for this! For real!"
The Supreme Goddess of Souls and Reincarnation, little Astra, was complaining to Genesis.
The reason? The almighty supreme authority of the world wanted her to become Zagreus' mentor.
Could she even refuse once Genesis made her decision?
"Do you think you have the power to oppose my words, girl? You will do as I say!"
Genesis glared at Astra with her gigantic rainbow eyes, her aura and pressure were overwhelming, any other person would crumble before her almighty presence.
And yet…
"But I don't wannaaaaa! It's embarrassing and I can barely speak with everyone here b-because I have known you for a while! B-But I have never talked with that boy beforeeeee! I don't wanna!"
Astra, despite being literally millions of years old, had retained a rather childish personality. The reason is… well, quite obvious.
"Y-You…!" Genesis was furious about to bite her off and yet… she didn't. "Aw, come on Astra! Why can't you just do me ONE favor once in your lifetime, girl? You have to behave correctly already! You're at the age where you must begin taking responsibility not only for yourself but the world! Zagreus has potential, but only with you will he blossom like a lotus flower in spring."
Genesis acted strangely close to her, even trying to reprimand her as if she were not just an ultimate and intimidating authority, but more like some kind of aunt to her.
"I know but… It's such a drag!"
Astra sighed, showing her real self, a woman that preferred to stay confined in her Divine Realm doing her job and nothing else because she was so afraid of communication with everyone else.
Her personality developed this way because since she was young that her parents died, and she was adopted by the Supreme Spirit of Souls.
The Spirit of Souls raised her within his Divine Spiritual Realm and ended completely forgetting to help her develop socially at all.
Mostly because he was afraid of the outside world and its many dangers, making Astra grow up as a very sheltered girl.
"You're too lazy! If you don't do it…!" Genesis threatened her. "I will take away all your video games and snacks, and you will eat only salad and do your job without any entertainment or tasty food!"@@novelbin@@
Instead of threatening her that she would kill her or take away her powers… her "threat" was much different.
"EEEEH?!" Astra yelled. "No way! You can't do that to me auntie!"
She even began calling Genesis auntie at the end, revealing to the rest of the gods their true bond, which was much closer than they tried to show off in public.
"You will do it!" Genesis said. "C-Come on Fate, help me convince her already… I am not in the mood to argue with her today."
"Fufufu," Fate giggled in the sides with a rather sadistic smile. "Nope, this is your problem, Genesis. You were the one that decided to raise her after your son died."
"T-That's…! You seriously are the worst!" Genesis roared angrily. "Time! At least you should be able to do something!"
"My apologies, Lady Genesis, currently I am in the process of watching the timelines, it requires great concentration," The Supreme God of Time closed his eyes and remained still and silent, ignoring everyone.
"Agh! You're all so useless!" Genesis complained, as rainbow cosmic flames came out of her mouth. "Astra! You'll do it! It's your responsibility."
"B-but…!" Astra kept trying to complain.
"Ugh… if you do it correctly, I will give you another video game," Genesis said.
"And a new pack of cream melon soda with spicy potato chips?" Astra asked.
"Are you serious? Why do you indulge in such things when you're a Supreme Goddess? Don't you have any decency?" Genesis complained.
"Then I'm not helping…" Astra looked elsewhere.
"Haaah… Fine," Genesis sighed. "Whatever you want I will create it but do as I say."
"Fineee…" Astra shrugged. "B-But if the kid acts unruly or begins acting weird or something, I am not going to teach him anymore, ok?"
"He is well behaved, son of Hades, you can trust on him, he's not a pervert or something," Genesis sighed. "I've analyzed his soul and heart. If anything, he's only… conflicted."
"Hmm…" Astra groaned. "Ah… Right, Fate how is the war going?"
"The climax has already begun," Fate said. "The strongest Demon General Kralax is dead, the Great Demon Duke Eligos is dead too, and Mighty Atlas is gone from Genesis completely. The Demons and the Galactic Humans are now being eaten by the Dream Plane Inhabitants; they seem to be the strongest so far, we have to find a way to deal with them too."
"It is really nice they're so strong, but now that they'll remain as the survivors, and have grown even stronger, we really need something even worse to kill them…" Genesis sighed. "This is the bad side of this plan, that whatever survives everything will be the ultimate foe."
"What about the Galactic Human reinforcements, Fate?" Astra asked.
"The reinforcements of the Galactic Humans are on their way, but they will be interrupted by something else too. I am already weaving their destiny… And it is death!" Smiled Fate. "Tsukuyomi will soon intercept them."
"Wasn't he going to the first battlefield? I thought he arrived already?" Wondered Genesis. "I cannot clearly see right now; I am concentrated on defending the world…"
"Tsukuyomi has a special ability, Moon Mirror, with it, he created a mirrored version of his entire group, which he used to split the forces he was luring into two. One of them went to deal with the current battlefield, the other went to intercept the human reinforcements." Fate said with a vicious smile. "It's time for the ending, who will win? How many will die? Let's see how much I can make it be worth it…"
She moved her hands dexterously, weaving her threads rapidly, aiming for the perfect ending that would benefit them the best.
And yet, even then, could it be possible with such powerful beings everywhere?
Only time will tell.
