Epic of Caterpillar

The Galactic Humans were quick to react, the moment they saw one of their men down, all of them started firing their laser and bullet guns at the monstrosity. Yes, giant bullets made of a metal so strong it could pass through a planetoid or a large moon if they wanted.

And yet…

CLANK! CLANK! CLANK! CLANK! CLANK!

The bullets and even the laser beams ended bouncing off the Miasmic Monster's hard exoskeleton. No matter how hard they shot, what remained was nothing but steam or smoke covering the monster's body, its armor impenetrable.

"NO POWER? ARTIFICIAL… WEAPONS? WEAK…"

FLASH!

Within a split second, the mosquito-like thing rushed forward, piercing through the body of another mecha, and then another, and another, and another.

CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!

The pilots were all accurately caught within the mosquito's long spear-like proboscis, their flesh and blood were drained and even their souls, leaving behind dry husks that dissipated into ashes within seconds.

"DELICIOUS!"

The roared in happiness, licking its long proboscis and cleaning it from the blood and ashes, looking everywhere by moving its red eyes at 360 degrees.

"The damn bastard's massacring us!"

"What in the world is that thing?!"

"Has it been analyzed yet?"

The humans quickly began trying to decipher the thing in front of them, a few of these researchers within the machines quickly came to a conclusion.

"It seems to be a lifeform originating from the Chaotic Plane! However, there is no register of this type of creature before. It seems to have been born recently."

"A-Are you kidding me?!"

"How do we deal with this?"

"Stop whining! We've fought worse things before."

Suddenly, among the pilots that were already despairing, their leader, piloting the gigantic mech, spoke, his massive robot chasing the mosquito-like creature.

"I will destroy it, you support me from the sides."

"Y-Yes Commander Hammiel!"

The massive humanoid robot shone with red and black colors, it was different than Mighty Atlas' "sealed form", and it seemed to have giant pile bunkers on its arms, alongside carrying a gigantic drill on its back.

Its helmet was shaped like a construction worker's hat, but of black and red color, this gigantic mech was one designed not specifically for battle, but for terraforming and the mining of planets.

Designed to break through the hardest of crusts and mine any resource, this was among the toughest and strongest robots they had within their reach.

"Let's go, Red Miner!"

Hammiel roared, as the bulky giant reached the mosquito, swinging its hand towards it as its pile bunker attached to it began to overload with energy.@@novelbin@@

"SHYEEH!"

"ACK?!"

The creature quickly realized it wouldn't be as easy as the rest of the robots, the massive metallic hand kept pushing down, its strength seemed not enough.

"NOW! PILE BUNKER!"

The Pile Bunker released crimson lightning, as it reached the mosquito-shaped monstrosity, who had no instincts for escaping as it was too unexperienced.

And…

BOOOMMM!!!

A huge explosion of miasma and electricity erupted. With the power to break through a continental crust, the Pile Bunker of Red Miner was amongst the mightiest not super powered weapons!

"G-GRAACK?!"

The mosquito groaned in agony and disbelief, half of its body had been massacred, its black blood was oozing out of its massive wound, its head was barely still attached to its right shoulder, right chest and half its arm. The monster's legs and wings were completely gone.

"Commander Hammiel got that thing!"

"Hell yeah!"

"Go for it commander!"

"Avenge our friends!"

The other pilots celebrated, completely unable to understand the situation they were in, as Hammiel's eyes widened.

FLUOSH!

Darkness and chaotic energies began to rapidly be released from the monster's soul and core, as its missing limbs and wounds started to quickly regenerate at a staggering speed.

"It can regenerate?! SHOOT IT NOW!"

He screamed, making the pilots quickly react, pointing their weapons at it and shooting as many bullets as they possibly could, while Red Miner's Pile Bunker was on resting mode due to overheat.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

As the monster began to regenerate, it constantly received damage through its hard steel-like armor, managing to stop its regeneration, however, it seemed undying, as more and more of it kept coming from within.

"This thing is indestructible!"

"We can only keep it there for some time, commander!"

"Chaotic Plane beings aren't usually as strong! Just what is this thing?!"

The team inside of the Red Miner continued trying to analyze the monster for a proper weakness, they had considered shooting a nuke at it, but it might only make it stronger.

"We'll go for the second Pile Bunker!"

Hammiel had already made his decision.

"But if we use both right away you'll have to wait several minutes for cooling!"

"Red Miner isn't equipped with the best cooling systems out there, it's a rather outdated Mega Machine."

"Its function was to primarily mine the resources of these floating islands, but we had to quickly repurpose it for battle after all…!"

"It doesn't matter, once this thing is gone we'll continue! Don't waste your time arguing, we'll be doing it!"

Hammiel was unwavering, he didn't accept any excuses. He grasped the thing with Red Miner's left hand while the left pile bunker cooled down, the right pile bunker was ready.

"NOW!"

The whole team quickly moved in unison, activating the pile bunker as it began to rapidly overflow with red lightning.

And it hit the monster at point blank!

BOOOMMM!!!

The immense explosive force hit the monster's core, shattering it into pieces, the powerful mosquito-shaped creature rapidly dissipated into black ashes, its red eyes glancing one last time at the giant before dying.

"I-It's gone…" Hammiel sighed in relief. "That thing had me scared for a second. Let's quickly go where Ezekiel was! We've lost contact with him, but he said he defeated the giant demon, so-"

"Aaaaggh!"

BOOOM!

"Commander!"

BOOOM!

"T-There's more!"

BOOOM!

Hammiel's green eyes widened, as he saw dozens of monstrous beings appear from a floating Chaotic Vessel, resembling the mosquito and beginning to destroy dozens of mechas at once.
