Alex raised an eyebrow. "Do you… sense something?" he asked. He wondered if, because Shumi wasn't affected by this ice dome, the connection she felt was unaffected as well.
Shumi kept staring at him. "Yes, I can sense it," she said. Now that she was no longer trying to kill him, she could better grasp her own feelings. Beyond just wonderment, a look of doubt began creeping up on her face, accompanied by worry.
