"You must've woken up before all your memories returned," Alex quickly said. "You should—"
"No, all of my memories are back. And yet I still don't remember anything about him," Godslayer said.
Alex frowned. "What do you mean? Did you perhaps not see him back then?"
"I did see him. And I know I fought him too," Godslayer said. "But where there should be a man in my memory, there is but a featureless shadow. Every other person I remember down to the way their hair was parted, but this one man… I remember nothing about him."
Alex didn't understand how that could be. The only thing he could think was that there was something wrong with Godslayer, which was why he couldn't remember. He had woken up abruptly, after all.
"Maybe it will return with time."
Godslayer shrugged. "Maybe."
