Eternal Emperor's Path to Ascension

Chapter 262 262: Two Years, Sworn Siblings

2 years passed by in the blink of an eye.

In the past two years, the Kunlun Immortal Convention had come to a close and all the cultivators present there were following the orders of Kunlun.

Right now, the only ones left in Kunlun were all cultivators of the Tribulation Transcendence Realm and above, and even they were slowly starting to disperse.

In this way, the momentum of the righteous path in the Righteous-Demonic War had suddenly soared to the sky. By speculation, it wouldn't take longer than ten years for the war to finally end.

Meanwhile, a distance away from the Isle of Heavenly Demons.

*Boom!* *Boom!* *Boom!*

Sword light and demonic aura collided against eachother fiercely, as if dancing in the vast expanse of the sky and tearing apart the void. The overbearing power made the surroundings change constantly as even the heavenly rules were extremely fragile before this kind of terrifying power.

A giant Sword Qi hovered in the sky before striking down angrily, causing large waves to appear on the Pristine Waters despite being tens of thousands of feet above the surface.

*Wham!"

*Sizzle!"

The majestic Sword Qi met a huge black lightning bolt surrounded by countless tiny ones, sending a terrifying shockwave through tens of thousands of miles as both powers resisted eachother, with both eventually perishing.

The Blade Saint's expression was slightly grim witnessing this scene. It wasn't just the Blade Saint, but also the Sword God and Demon Lord Nine Calamities floating behind him. All of them had a somewhat ugly look on their face.

They had been fighting against the Wrathful Asura King for so long now, yet the other party did not even tire out. Him and the Blade Saint were evenly matched, yet the Blade Saint only had less than 50% of his Demonic Energy left.

If it continued like this, then Demon Lord Nine Calamities would have to transfer his own Demonic Energy to the Blade Saint. That's why both the Sword God and Demon Lord Nine Calamities were floating not far from the Blade Saint, to provide assistance if he needed it as soon as possible.

Although they couldn't help in the fight themselves, they could still provide support from the sidelines.

It seems that he has a lot of tricks left up his sleeves.

Thought the Blade Saint before releasing another torrent of Sword Qi towards the Wrathful Asura King.

Lightning churned in the sky as the Wrathful Asura King raised his hand, catching a black bolt of lightning which fell into his hand and swung it with full force, Demonic Energy mixed in with Lightning Essence surging towards the wave of Sword Qi, drowning the entire world.

"Blade Saint, how long are you going to struggle? Save all of us some trouble and let me send you on your way!"

The Wrathful Asura King mocked with a cold look in his eyes, countless lightning bolts manifesting behind him as he bombarded the other party.

The Blade Saint struggled to keep up with the Asura King, and could only focus on defense for a while.

Seeing this scene, the Sword God's eyes glinted as he pulled out a Communication Jade from his Storage Ring.

Both him and Demon Lord Nine Calamities were being protected by the Sword Barrier of the Blade Saint, thus the Wrathful Asura King couldn't do anything to them for the time being.

At the same time, Demon Lord Nine Calamities also secretly communicated with someone through the Communication Jade as if he had reached a mutual agreement with the Sword God beforehand.

Blade Saint, just hold on for a little longer. We have already informed Kunlun and the demonic experts on our side. They should be arriving soon to our aid.

He sent the Blade Saint a voice transmission.

Despite everything, all three of them knew that their Human Immortal Realm reinforcements had been previously hindered by the experts of the demonic forces. There was a chance that the Wrathful Asura King had already instructed someone to intercept the experts of the righteous path just like he did before.

But knowing the situation, the Saint Master of Kunlun might take action personally this time or send a Perfected Half Immortal. With another Perfected Half Immortal and the Blade Saint who was also a Perfected Half Immortal, it wouldn't be a problem to deal with the Wrathful Asura King.

Till then, they hoped that the Blade Saint could hold on just for some more time.

...

At the same time, in the main battlefield of the Righteous-Demonic War.

At this moment, the sky was painted red as bloody clouds roamed the heavens, a strong scent of blood permeating the air.

Countless corpses fell into the Pristine Waters below every minute, making it look no different from hell.

"Screech!"

With a loud screech, a few Nascent Soul Realm Demons were charred black by the Vermilion True Flames spreading out in the sky as the majestic figure of the Heavenly Feather Crimson Monarch was revealed under the clouds.

Whoever the Vermilion True Flames touched had their body burned down to ashes and soul destroyed, complete annihilation of body and soul.

If they were just innocent people who's good deeds outweighed their bad ones, then it would have left a alot of negative karma on the Heavenly Feather Crimson Monarch. However, most of the cultivators she killed were not like that. They had a lot of negative karma on their hands, far surpassing their positive karma.

Thus, it wouldn't affect her much.

Karma, fate, destiny, all of them were mysterious powers. They worked in special ways, so it was nearly impossible to absolutely avoid negative karma, specially during a time such as the Righteous-Demonic War.

If it was inevitable, then there was no need to force it.

At this moment, the Heavenly Feather Crimson Monarch arrived right in front of a huge flying ship before flames covered her entire body. Her form began to shrink until it was around the size of a normal human as she landed on the flying ship.

As the flames around her dissipates, her elegant and refined figure came into view. Wearing a orange dress, her fiery long hair billowed in the wind as she opened her eyes, revealing a brilliant light in her slightly golden pupils which exuded pride.

This was the Heavenly Feather Crimson Monarch's human form.

Her stature was shorter than average, and she only looked like a 19 or 20 year old girl, but there was an inexplicable air around her which made it difficult for ordinary people to approach her. It was the natural suppression of the Vermilion Bird's superiority over inferior beings.

As soon as she stepped onto the flying boat, she immediately restrained her aura. Bowing slightly, she clasped her fists together and looked at the entrance of the flying ship's main hall.

"I'm here to see brother!"

She called out softly, her voice loud enough to reach the hall.

A moment later, a noble and dignified lady looking to be in her early twenties stepped out of the hall, walking towards the Heavenly Feather Crimson Monarch with a fond expression on her face.

It was none other than Lin Xiaoxiao, the young lady of the Great Lin Immortal Family of the Central Continent.

Seeing Lin Xiaoxiao approach her, the Heavenly Feather Crimson Monarch's expression softened even more as they hugged eachother for a moment before pulling away.

"You have grown even more since the last time we met, Yun'er."

Lin Xiaoxiao remarked casually, patting the Heavenly Feather Crimson Monarch's head as they walked towards the main hall.

The latter didn't say anything and just smiled.

As they entered the main hall, her gaze landed on the multiple people surrounding a table with spiritual manifestations on it depicting various strategies and other scenes, talking with eachother regarding the war and their future plans.

These were all the great geniuses of the righteous path, all standing in the later stages of Tribulation Transcendence Realm.

As soon as Wang Daoyun noticed her, he immediately excused himself and walked out of there, appearing in front of Lin Xiaoxiao and the Heavenly Feather Crimson Monarch, nicknamed Yunyun by Wang Daoyun.

"Why are you here? Did you complete whatever you were gonna do?" He asked, their surroundings instantly covered up by a mystical barrier that blocked all sound to escape and prevented Divine Sense from probing inside.

Hearing his question, Yunyun nodded before answering, "Yes, I've completed it. That's why I'm here to assist brother now and officially participate in the main battlefield of the Righteous-Demonic War."

The Heavenly Feather Crimson Monarch was a Vermilion Bird, possessing the True Phoenix's Blood Essence, there was a chance she could evolve into a True Phoenix in the future after ascending to the Upper Realm.

She was raised by Kunlun Divine Mountain for this sole purpose, to serve as a local subordinate of the next Saint Lord and a Divine Beast representing Kunlun in the Mortal World.

That was how it should have been. Or that was how it was on the surface.

In reality, she and Wang Daoyun, being together since they were young, had a bond similar to siblings. They had already considered eachother sworn brother and sworn sister long before descending the mountain.
