Chapter 439 Killing the Monster

439  Killing the Monster

Boom!

A terrifying shockwave rippled through the dark space, sending tremors that fractured its oppressive stillness. Cracks spread across the void, and the once eerie darkness was replaced by the devastation wrought by the sword attack.

Hovering a few feet above the ground, Su Yen maintained a solemn expression, his piercing gaze fixed on the ancient monster.

In the distance, the ancient creature lay sprawled on the ground, a deep gash splitting its massive chest in two.

Yet, the monster ignored its grievous injury, its yellowish eyes locked on Su Yen. "Y-You managed to injure me," it rasped, its voice trembling with disbelief.

When was the last time it had suffered such a wound? The memory eluded it.

Slowly, the monster rose to its feet, its wound beginning to mend at a visible pace. Its aura intensified with each passing moment, radiating a palpable threat.

'What a powerful healing ability!' Su Yen thought, his mind reeling at the monster's resilience.

Despite the shock of seeing the creature recover so rapidly, Su Yen remained unfazed. His own aura surged as he prepared his next move.

"Chaotic Void Strike - Second Form."

With a swift motion, he released a devastating strike. The space shuddered violently, the previous cracks expanding under the onslaught of the sword's overwhelming power.

The monster snarled, and its two horns glowed with a pulsating gray light. @@novelbin@@

Whoosh!

A beam of gray energy blasted toward Su Yen with breathtaking speed, obliterating everything in its path.

Just as the two attacks were about to collide, the sword light vanished, leaving the gray beam to streak forward unchallenged.

The monster's expression darkened as it cursed under its breath, disappearing into the shadows.

'Damn it. How could a human comprehend space dao?'

The space dao, one of the supreme dao, was a rarity mastered by only a handful of beings across the universe.

And here, in this desolate realm, a mere human had wielded it with such terrifying proficiency.

Unaware of the monster's thoughts, Su Yen remained calm, activating his space skill. 'Blink'.

Boom!

Ahhhh!

A gut-wrenching wail tore through the air as the monster's body was cleaved in two, its mangled form crashing into the space's fractured walls.

The creature's mind raced in confusion and terror. It had believed it had evaded the strike, only to find itself grievously wounded.

'How is this possible?!'

Its worldview crumbled as it struggled to reconcile the impossible—a Saint Realm human with such precise and overwhelming control over his attacks.

Before it could recover, another sword light loomed before it, radiant and merciless.

"H-Human..."

Desperation flared in the monster's eyes. Ignoring its pain, it activated its innate ability to halt its injuries and attempted to flee.

But suddenly, an oppressive force erupted from deep within its bloodline, rendering it immobile.

'W-What is this?!'

Ahhhhh!

The monster's brief hesitation sealed its fate. The sword light struck true, slicing through its battered form.

Bang!

The dark space convulsed, shattering entirely as brilliant light flooded in.

The ancient altar at the center cracked, its pulsating runes dimming with each passing second. The coffin was flung from its pedestal, landing in a heap far away.

The monster writhed on the ground, its body riddled with gaping wounds that exposed its gray, decaying bones.

"What have you done to me?!" it roared, its voice trembling with fear.

"Impossible! How could a mere human have power over my bloodline?" the monster stammered, its voice filled with denial.

Its bloodline, while not the most powerful in the universe, was far beyond the capabilities of any ordinary human.

Su Yen ignored the outburst and asked, "Will you tell me about this place, or shall we continue?"

"Hahaha! You're naive if you think you've won. And if you expect me to tell you anything, you're mistaken."

The monster sneered as it attempted to regain control over its bloodline. But the effort was futile, and panic set in as it realized the futility of its struggle.

"Then die," Su Yen said coldly.

Whoosh!

"Blood Severance Slash!"

The blade surged forward, bathed in a crimson hue, carrying an aura of absolute finality.

The monster's eyes widened in horror. This was unlike any attack Su Yen had unleashed before.

'No... I can't let this hit me!' he roared in his heart. Desperation took over as the monster burned its bloodline in a last-ditch effort to escape. For a fleeting moment, the oppressive force gripping its body lifted, and a faint glimmer of hope appeared.

But that hope was short-lived.

A far greater pressure descended, crushing its escape plan.

'Noooooooo!'

The monster screamed internally as the blade struck, splitting its body apart.

Boom!

The space quaked violently as the monster was sent flying across the battlefield, its body reduced to a mutilated heap.

This time, the damage was irreversible.

With its bloodline sealed, the monster's body lost its regenerative ability. Left with only its upper half, it bled profusely, writhing in agony.

Even in the last world battle, it was not this miserable. Its former confidence had crumbled. Struggling to open its eyes, it stared at Su Yen with a mixture of fear and resignation.

'I wouldn't be in this situation if I were at my peak,' it thought bitterly.

Memories of old alliances flashed in its mind. 'And those bastards... They promised to return before a thousand years. But a thousand years have long passed. Where are they?'

Its final thoughts were interrupted by Su Yen's voice.

"Are you ready to talk?"

"Human, just kill me. I can't, and won't, tell you anything. If you wish to learn the truth, go through the gate yourself."

"Fine," Su Yen said with a shrug, swinging his sword and severing the monster's head.

The sacred land trembled briefly, the runes on the ancient altar fading into nothingness.

Unperturbed by the strange scene, Su Yen fixed his gaze on the sight before him, his expression resolute.

"What secret are you hiding," He mused and stepped forward.
