Even If I’m Reborn as a Cute Dragon Girl, I Will Still Make a Harem

Book 5: Chapter 240: Broken

Book 5: Chapter 240: Broken

“Li…li…th…”

Tadashi repeated each word slowly, his tone gentle and wistful, as if savoring the deep meaning behind every syllable. Suddenly, tears welled up in the corners of his eyes, flowing down his cheeks in two clear streams.

“Wait, Tadashi, what’s wrong?”

Luna was at a loss for what to do. Her casual question was supposed to be a simple test and she hadn’t expected anything to happen, as Lilith and Tadashi were not related to each other in any way.

However, Tadashi’s reaction was… abnormal.

“Does the name Lilith… remind you of something?” Luna reached out, trying to wipe away Tadashi’s tears.

But Tadashi suddenly took several steps back, avoiding her touch. His eyes were a mixture of confusion and clarity.

“I… I… I…” Tadashi’s lips moved weakly as if wanting to speak, but he could only manage to whisper the same word over and over again.

“Tadashi!” Luna grew worried because Tadashi seemed as though he were ensnared by a spell and lost in a trance.

Luna stepped forward, trying to grab him. Just as she did, there was a distinct, sharp crack—a sound like an eggshell breaking. Luna looked up, following the sound. The sky above her had cracked.

Countless jagged lines, like a spider’s web, spread across the blue dome, making the sky appear as if it were a shattered piece of glass.

“What’s… happening?” Luna murmured in confusion.

“You finally found her.” That familiar, annoying voice echoed in her mind once more.

Luna lowered her gaze and saw the lifeless Wang Defa staring at her with a twisted smile.

“Found her?” Luna was confused.

Is he saying that Tadashi is the one I should be looking for?

“But I’ve already met Tadashi.”

“Meeting him doesn’t count. You have to tell him that name.”

“Her name…? Lilith…? But why?”

“Hehe, do you know what it takes to wake someone from a dream?” Wang Defa asked in a mocking tone, answering her question with another question.

“…Have someone else wake them up?”

“What if that doesn’t work?”

“……”

“Huh… so you’re really just a bimbo with huge chest.”

“YOU!”

“Ha, I’ll be nice and explain it to you.”

Wang Defa turned his head, gazing at the sky, which was becoming increasingly shattered. His frivolous tone suddenly shifted to one filled with melancholy and sadness.

“It’s when she hears her name in a dream. When she hears it, she recalls her own existence, and wakes up to realize that it’s all just a dream.”

“A dream?” Luna couldn’t comprehend his words.

The sky was breaking apart… Cracks were spreading across the ground… The horizon was disappearing into a blinding white light… The events she’d experienced—what she had seen and felt over the past few days, and now—were things even the truest illusion couldn’t simulate.

Tadashi’s excited voice, the expressions on his face, and his energy lingered in her mind vividly.

And…

“Lilith? But why Lilith? You mean this is all Lilith’s dream? But how could that be? Lilith is out there right now participating in the tournament, how could she be dreaming up all this?” Luna argued.

But Tadashi, who had been silent the entire time, stared blankly ahead. Finally, he managed to finish his sentence with a distant voice.

“Ah, that’s right. I… I am Lilith.”

Huh?

Luna’s mind went blank.

“Wang Defa” let out a long sigh.

“It’s true that this isn’t Lilith’s dream, but this dream… it’s all because of her. This dream was gradually shaped by an obsessive fool who couldn’t stop thinking about Lilith, constantly imitating her in his dreams, until he began to believe he was her.”

“Obsessive… fool? Who is she…?” Luna asked, confused.

“You’ll know soon enough.”

Wang Defa’s words had barely left his mouth when a sharp snap, followed by a clearer shattering noise reached Luna’s ears.

When she looked up, Tadashi was covered in cracks, like a porcelain doll that had been dropped on the ground. The broken pieces of him slowly floated upward and reduced into ashes, drifting away in the air.

Luna instinctively reached out, trying to grab hold, but all she could grasp was just air. She stared blankly at her empty hand, then looked at Tadashi, whose form was slowly vanishing.

Soon, the world itself dissolved into nothingness, leaving only a pure, silent void of white. Luna stood alone in this empty white world, holding the “Basic Overview and Introduction to Warriors” manual.

There was nothing… left.

Great sorrow suddenly overwhelmed her. She touched the corners of her eyes, wanting to cry, but in the end, all that appeared on her face was an expression that looked worse than crying.

“How ugly.”

The sound of a familiar, annoying voice echoed again, snapping Luna back from the abyss of nothingness and into reality. It was as if the silence had been a movie’s opening, and now the real show had begun.

The stillness was broken by a wave of hustle and bustle flooding in.

Click-clack.

Beep, beep.

Luna had the disorienting sensation that she was still in the world she had just left behind, as her ears filled with the hum of machinery and electronics.

As the white faded gradually, black and other colors spread across her vision like ink droplets swirling in water.

The first thing that caught her eye was the endless stream of displays, flickering with static like old televisions from decades ago that she had read in books. Beneath the screens were tangled pipes and intricate wires.

The pipes and wires crisscrossed and extended in all directions. Colorful points of light moved rhythmically along the paths, ultimately converging at the very center of Luna’s vision.

There, in the middle, was a massive cylindrical glass case. Luna recognized it. It was described in the book she read as a special device to sustain life. Inside the glass case, green liquid filled the space, faintly outlining the curves of a beautiful body.

Luna instinctively took a step closer, wanting to get a clearer view of the face of the figure inside. She felt an inexplicable connection to it—a trace of familiar energy, as though it was tied to her bloodline.

But then, she felt a sudden pressure on her feet.

“Stop, stop, stop! Irrelevant personnel are not allowed to get close!”

Luna looked down and saw a small, clunky robot with tracks on its lower body, pushing her back with its tiny mechanical arms.

“You…?”

The robot also looked rather familiar to Luna.

“Who are you calling You? You should mind your manners when visiting someone else’s home. That’s basic manners, you know?” The robot huffed indignantly, placing its mechanical arms on its waist.

“Ah, so it is you.” Luna recognized it now. It was the same mysterious being that loved attaching itself to other people’s bodies.
